I have a good memory and a bad memory from remarks in this sermon. The good memory is storms. Since a young age, I have loved massive thunder storms. I would go out walking in the middle of the storms and loved it. I love the sound of thunder and the beauty of lightning. The bad memory was when he asked if we had ever been in a house fire. When I was 8 years old our house burned down in the night. I was in the hospital for 2-3 months and my 3 y/o brother was burned to ashes in the fire. I still remember that, but fear no longer holds me. I pray that God can still use me as a mouthpiece for him. TY, F.
Thank you God for your servant Max thank you Max for letting God use you to get His comfort to me I am grateful please continue to let God speak through you in Jesus name i pray 🙏
As a new Christian in 1989 & so very eager & hungry to learn more about who Jesus is, a friend from church gave me the book, "It Happened One Friday." by Max Lucado. I was flying from Vegas to Cincinnati to attend a custody case over my 2 year old daughter (a lifetime consequence from my previous lifestyle), and I read this awesome book that also helped settled my nerves. Of course my Bible was also on my lap as I went back & forth. My Christian growth & walk was strengthened on that plane trip & night before I was to appear in court, I held my little one praying over her & then ended my prayer, with giving this most awesome child He had blessed with me back to God. "She is Yours, Father, she belongs to You & is only on loan to me to raise as You would want her to be raised. God had placed 3 miraculous events within a week & year before I surrendered life, saving this precious little one from being my 11th abortion. I won the case & 3 years later, I worked 6 years at our local CPC, rejoicing each time a young woman changed her mind about having an abortion & cried when they stayed firm with decision to have one. The healing I had to go thru for my own, was the hardest healing I had to go thru, more than all the other severely dysfunctional previously lifestyle He also healed me from, going all the way back to my childhood. I always remember Max Lucado & his book It Happened One Friday that was instrumental in teaching me that there was someone who loved me enough to die for me.
Wish I had married a Christian like Max. Some of us might not have listened and heeded messages and sermons like this as we were growing up, but it would have helped at least some of us. Prayers to all. Thank you again for another superb sermon, Max.
you married whom you did regardless of his predilections...now your job is to do what Jesus commands us in His word..God can and will use you ..let Him
Its alright if you're scared at times, But always remember "Yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you art with me, thy rod and thy staff they comfort me" -Psalm 23:4
gracias sus libros en espanol tambien al igua que en ingles son conocidos en latinoamerica. Thank you we as spanish speaking know him and his book all around latinamerica
I wonder how many people who are members of the Church of Christ know that he now has his own program on TBN. Max has really left the Church of Christ and hard core Church of Christ people have really given up on Max. It is so sad that Christians can not get along.
This is a great sermon. One thing I didn't understand was when you said that "love is the most common command of Jesus but it's not the most common". Maybe it was some kind of slip of the tongue 🤔💬. I'd like to know what you meant. Other than that, this was an awesome message! Thank you and thank God!

I daily forget how powerful God is. I too would have been yelling at Jesus. I am very often fearful, sometimes to immobility.
This is for me now. Third time listening. There is a massive storm brewing and I will cuddle up with Jesus. Believe. For your own sakes.
I needed to hear this sermon today!! Thank you Max Lucado!!
I very much enjoy listening to Max Lucado's messages.
I love Max Lucado. He is funny, charismatic, and makes me feel like I don't have to live in fear. Great video thanks for posting.

2020 anyone?
Our church just used this as the sermon for our stay at home service on 3/22/20.
Prophetic wasn't it?
Listening to this in the middle of the night after a series of nightmares and trouble sleeping. Lord Jesus, speak to me!
