I live near Mel. I just fruited my new Scarlet Beauty plum and it is ripening just now as the Santa Rosa is. Fruits look and taste much like Santa Rosa but don't seem to taste so well. Very low chill however.
@@edibletropicaltrees Hey Mel, a few months ago we talked about swapping plum scion wood for grafting, I have the burgandy plum and methley plum. I wanted to see if you would be available next week? I have the week off from work and was hoping to try some chip budding. From what I can tell chip budding should be done in the fall to allow the bud to heal through the winter time then it can shoot new growth in the spring

I have a burgundy plum in Mesa. The 3 of us should exchange scions and graft onto our trees so we have a 3 in 1 trees
