It definitely seems that, while it wasn't intentional, he's not all that broken up about her death. He hears circus baby go off but doesn't see who she got, cc/evan/bv/whatever people call him now tells him that Elizabeth got got, he panics a bit and runs over to see as his daughter's death complicates things, then realizes that he got what he wanted anyway.
That’s why He said that: Circus Baby is not ready Because there’s still no child that posseses her. And how stubborn Elizabeth was,she didn’t listened,and died of her own mistake

The art and animations is really good, and I love the atmosphere it created is really on point. Also the expressions are great, I love how William looks like he was genuanely scared of Elizabeth being inside Baby and wanted to almost cry because he knew because it was kinda his fault of making it in the first place.

He was indeed happy that the machine caught the child at first, but when he realized it was his own child, he started to suffer. The die is cast; there was no way Elizabeth could live again as a human. I think this better aligns with his essence as a mad scientist (?) In any case, this is a brilliant piece of work, you are simply a genius!
