The dumbing down of America is reflected in everything nowadays with modern rap music being one of the most obvious.
Hate it. This new generation is brain dead zombies. Yea "selling drugs and risking going to prison and killing enemies with illegal firearms is cool". And you see the "bitches" loving this? They love being degraded by someone who has a lot of cash. This world is ass backwards

@@pipsqueak4786 why you feel the need to to say something to me? Gonna prove my point? AFTER 2010 it's all saying the same stuff over and over with re-used beats. Why you mad? What do they listen to in downtown Chicago? How do they act? I don't hear people rapping and telling people to be lawyers or doctors but killing people and getting locked up or killed is cool? Only idiots listen to the garbage nowadays.
Marvin you are right, rap used to be art now it's the best weapon against inner city children and they don't even get it,a few rappers are still talented but most only bring destruction in the fatherless homes...
The days of good rap is gone only mumbling clowns now. This new Gen rappers suck cus you dont understand what the f**k thier saying
This was great on multiple levels. Appreciated every second of your analysis. How were you able to decipher such complex music??
Reacting to bad comedy, and now music. Epic, but, what's next, Mr.Walsh?
Agreed. what is next hope, he continues this.
Oh man we have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes
Wow, Matt Walsh hit the nail on the head with this one. These young scholars created a work of art!!!
If this is music, I'm Mozart.
If this is music, what comes out of my a$$ must be Beethoven.
Mozart had the intelligence talent and creativity to actually write and play something called music
Alright, Hi Mozart
Matt's explanation of this song, makes it seem like a great song. Lol. I'd love to see him analyse "WAP."
Your analysis of this masterpiece is incredibly accurate. Lil Baby happens to be my favorite band of all time.
Band? .....
😂😂😂oh Sweet Daddy, you are precious! 😂😂😂
😂 please do a reaction with Shapiro, lyrics reading included
😂😂😂Hip-Hop has completely gone down the drain, in the last 10 years😂😂😂
Nah
nah, its actually real strong right now
@@madisonbailey2564
Is that a joke?
It sounds like rappers nowadays get as messed up on weed and syrup as they possibly can and then make a track. This song was a perfect example of it.
Lyricism is a thing of a past, because mumbling abounds. Hip-hop nowadays is garbage.
@@zachariah2402 spoken like a true suburban white guy who doesn't listen to Hip-Hop, Im guessing you only think Eminem is good
@@madisonbailey2564
Actually I grew up listening only to Hip Hop, until I started playing guitar, about 10 years ago and expanded my horizons.... I rapped myself..... I grew up broke, not in the suburbs.....You seem like you're probably 25 or younger? Hip-Hop nowadays is GARBAGE. It's a dying art form, evolving in a detrimental way. The instrumentals are still dope. The rappers are garbage and standards for poetics and lyricism are declining.
Mr. Walsh, both my 14 year old daughter and I listen earnestly to your rap reviews. She enlightens me about the "artist" first and then we enjoy your thoughtful reviews. Please continue this series. If for no other reason, you are doing a solid service to all who remain curious about this particular genre. Kindest Regards!
This man has an uncanny ability to reach into a culture, unfamiliar to him and make it easily understood to the masses. What most don't understand is everyone is striving for the American dream! But depending on your environment, there are different avenues to obtain it! I love how he breaks this shit down with no disrespect disregard for others struggle. Godsent!!!!!!
Thanks for those reflections on some of the poetic music of our generation. I’m deeply moved knowing that a brighter tomorrow is possible. “Used to dream about gettin' it, now I got it”.
Now i got it i dont drive it
Can we PLEEEEEEEASE make this a weekly segment?!?! I think I spit my coffee onto my keyboard like 8 times during this song.. Matt, you owe me a new keyboard by the way.. But it was worth it!!
😂😂😂
“Are they going to the bank? Is he going to deposit it in his savings account?” 😂 😂 he’s so straight faced about it and I’m laughing 😂
You’re killing me with this straight man 😂👌🏻
As someone who loves Matt Walsh and this song, this was incredible lol.
I remember listening to 'Gangsta's Paradise'. That at least had a message. Then you had others that were leading the genre down this path...but at least you could understand the words... even if you didn't necessarily agree with the 'message'. Now you can't even understand the words...this isn't even ebonics... I don't know what this is... other than grandstanding. 'We Paid'...uuh, yeah, well... consider it a severance package.
Would you like rap you can understand and a positive message? Ive been a fan of matt since he was in his car... So you know im not spamming
@@JStorm90TV Rap was about venting and personal struggles. Many of Tupac and Biggies along with Nas, Dre and old school rappers would have songs about their upbringing and experiences.
Modern day rap is hella flexing the shit you own and bragging the non-existence pussy you supposedley get.
Listen to artists like x, juice, peep, Kendrick, Cole. They have a meaning. They express emotional views instead of just talking about money. There’s definitely rappers that make music w meaning.
@@makeouthill4822 kendrick lamar is the reason i make music...
Jamal Cudjoe Kendrick is a top 5 of all time
I never realized how deep this song is. Thank you Matt Walsh, you've opened my eyes.
As a 24 year old and conservative guy who loves this type of music because it’s what I grew up on, it’s still hilarious to see people who don’t enjoy rap (or grew up on older rap, which is still good music) rip on it
Matt is funny.y
As with most pop music, main stream rap mostly sucks
Was just thinking the same thing I love this music but this is cracking bc me up
It’s shit music wym?
It’s shit wdym?
Matt, pls make more music reactions, your sarcasm is top level and way too hilarious to miss out 🙌🏻😎
I can't tell if Walsh is just making fun of them or really trying to understand what in the world they are talking about..
He's making it deeper than it actually is because nobody actually listens to these songs for the lyrics they just listen to him while they're stoned.
Hes making fun of it btw.
Clear sarcasm.
Why not both
