What a petty thing to do for someone to give her the impression you were complaining. Any time I get my hair done, I have to take Aleve for three days. I have fine hair like you, Joy and it hurts us worse, but it's not the fault of the stylist and I could tell you weren't complaining about her beautiful work.
people are so literal, especially when it comes to someone who is considered a foreigner. You are very nice to address the negative. Don’t continue to do that or it will spiral.
My scalp is also very sensitive even when it's not pulled tightly. The remedy for that is to go directly under the shower and it will loosen up. Joysis don't worry about such trivia. Most people know that you were joking, and it was not meant as a disparaging remark. Take care of your beautiful self❤
But braiding does not have to hurt like that if the braiders are more mindful of their technique. Too many people get bald from this painful tension of hair strands being pulled out from the roots.
Sister the sun is not treating you well. Make sure you are using sunscreen. Mayungno said you are musingo,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I laughed so hard the way he said. You are doing well we love you. Keep up the good work 🥰❤🙏
I can't understand why our some African people are so sensitive and dramatic. They always create drama out of nothing 🙄 . Don't let those negative and hypocrites create unnecessary drama between you and the girl please. Be safe out there always.
Hi joy i live in the UK Im in Sheffield South Yorkshire i have been watching Marwa since day 1 so i really appreciate your Effort say hi to Marwa and hes family hope ill visit this village one day. I subscribe to your channel Good luck❤
My scalp is also sensitive, I have said the same thing to my hairdresser in the past because she was doing what she had to do, but she also knew my sensitivity 😅😅. Painful❤
You have been wonderful and just so easy going. You provided sound advice whenever you were asked. Like you, I can’t take the braiding as it is painful for me as well. As a result, I don’t pay anyone to do my hair, and just rock my afro as I also don’t like the extensions. I’m a natural type of person. One of the mature ladies perhaps should encourage the younger ones as they are used to the people of their village and perhaps aren’t exposed to people from different places. They can learn from Min Hawi as she is a very sharp and astute lady also. We all live and learn. I’ll continue to follow you as you’re a wonderful lady full of good suggestions and advice. God go with you and I’ll be searching for your vlogs/blogs as you return to the UK. Godspeed!
Some braiders braid waaaaayyyy too tight. Braids should be at the tightness level the client wants💗🙏⚘🤗🎉 THE BEST STYLIST LISTEN TO THEIR CLIENTS AND AJUST TO PLEASE THEM. Your hair looks great .....Don’t LISTEN to the gossiping people they always want to start rumors 🙄 and trouble
Ma Joy, thank you very much for the gift towards marwa. True , I can see the present kenya weather is too hot for you there. To avoid too much sunburnt or sun stroke, it will be nice to get some sun cream. It will take some time for your skin to get climatized with the kenya weather compared to our weather in UK 🇬🇧 weather 🔥 . Enjoy your stay ❤️❤️.
Don' t worry. People say that all the time even when whoever do it That is normal. We know what you mean. They sometimes do it too tight and you have to tell them not to do it too tight. Its OK. You didn't say anything mean. Next time just tell them that it is too tight and they adjust. No big deal. The person doing your hair said just tell her and she adust. I am from Atlanta GA and know this from having my daughter's hair done. Just tell them and they adjust and not be so tight the next time.
Hi Joy,if ya scalp hurts after braiding have the hairdresser use cotton wool to apply spirit on your scalp gently it cools off the pain and the scalp immediately.
I'm Kenyan and granted it's true no offense some braiders snatch every inch of hair to make it neat whether you have sensitive scalp or not...my mom shaved off her hair once coz she couldn't stand the pain. One has to tell the hairdresser before they start not to make it too tight and they will comply.
Been seeing u on Marwa' channel since u arrived at their home. Just subbed hoping to see mire vlogs from UK. I just realized I do not follow any youtubers in the UK🇿🇦
Yes I could understand what u talking about. I put braids in my hair and that night I couldn’t sleep. I had to take it out. It is beautiful but when you have sensitive skulls that what happen. U are forgiven my love❤

Braids are beautiful on peoples hair. Love your hair. I don’t braid because it’s painful for the first time. Why people took it so seriously. Enjoy the sugar cane guys. I love sugar cane

You are so genuine. Most people can't even bring themselves to say the words "i'm sorry". You set a great example.
Her friends shouldn't have told her that, they want to spoil your relationship with her but it's good you apologised to clear the air.
Glad to know everything turn out okay.

Whenever someone gets their hair braided, depending who the braider is.
To say a person does something to you intentionally could really do damage to a persons career. Be more careful next time this is social media!

I'm not sure about you guys, but in Ghana, it's normal to make such a joke. It was obviously a joke so not sure what the big deal is
