That's the problem with having famous actors in your games, they are a nightmare to remaster, you have to pay the actors AGAIN to use their faces...and in this case, they had to re-record the dialogues and redo the soundtrack.
Take note, industry, stop putting famous people in your games!
To be fair, between Devil May Cry 5, Monster Hunter World and REsident Evil 2... I'm willing to argue CAPCOM has been hitting a new glory era.
Especially with the kind of crap Ubisoft, Bethesda, Konami, Blizzard and whatever else developer has been (rightfully) going through.
@@dragonraizen DMCV already has microtransactions announced, and God only know how much are they going to milk REmake 2...I'm optimistic about Capcom, but then again, I remember Street Fighter V and Marvel Infinite.
@@Jose-se9pu As long as the game is good who cares. The mtx are all optional and you can just choose to ignore them. Capcom has been for me the best developers since last year because they release games that are actually fun and interesting.
@@Jose-se9pu marvel infinite wasn't really their problem, they loved that game but just couldn't do as much. While sfv at launch was bad, the constant updates have brought it far.

i remember when i first played Onimusha and got to that part, killed the game for me until i figured it out (didnt have internet at the time)
When this was announced for remaster I started streaming from my original xbox. I played Genma Onimusha. When the remaster released I played this and got a host from a good friend during stream... I also got affiliate on twitch! This game will always be one I'm glad I picked up in my 20's it quite literally was a life changer for me.

I'd buy this HD remaster if it had all three games, even if I already have 'em on the original PS2. And even Dawn Of Dreams, everybody forgets this one.
Heyyy, my favourite PS2 game series. I played through all of these again last year and was surprised by how much I loved Onimusha 1. Hope a ton of people play the remaster. Changing weapons on the fly is a huge quality-of-life fix.
I still think Onimusha 3 is the best but I enjoyed the first game more when I replayed the series, just because I played 3 so much.

Fun fact, development for this game started as "Sengoku Biohazard", literally "Samurai Resident Evil"
In terms of story and presentation, the 1st onimusha was and is the best in the series.

@@MTR_Nara Eh, Onimusha was kinda hit-and-miss... The first game was unrefined, but still very good. The second game was far more refined, but I found it a bit too cringey, even back in those days, to be fully enjoyable. The third game was great, being even more refined than the second one and having way less melodrama to cringe at. The fourth game NEVER HAPPENED! YOU HEAR ME?! IT! NEVER! EVER! HAPPENED! EVER! ...we don't talk about the fourth game...

I was pretty hyped when I heard they where bringing this back. That excitement went away when I learned that this wasn't the "Genma" version. Like seriously why even re-release it if you aren't gonna give people the better version?

You know what would b epic if capcom made a onimusha game on the RE engine and combined elements of Nioh with it
The RE engine is pretty cool but hopefully they dont do the EA thing and use it for every game like frostbite, frostbite is pretty cool too but it was designed for shooters not sports games and rpgs.

I dunno about the nioh part, it was enjoyable, but no matter what you wore, one was as frail as glass, unless you had some really out of the player’s way tactics

I played this for the first time yesterday since it was out on ps2 and I was in college. I actually used to think this was like an eight hour game. I had a two hour clear time and managed to ruin my own childhood in the process. And so I played it again

My all time favorite game as a teen. Used to sneak and play it cause my dad said it was inappropriate 🤣🤣 still played it cause...thug life! 🤣🤣
The area at 9:15 can be exploited. You get kinda close to them and do a tornado. Suck up the souls from it, go back through the door. Come back in and all the enemies you left over are healed. Tornado. Repeat. You'll get a TON of souls.

I love Onimusha, it was the first really gory M-Rated game I ever played as a youngin', but FUCK, man! My stupid child brain could NEVER for the life of me figure out that fucking sliding block puzzle! Can't wait to pick up this remastered version and have my revenge!

Onimusha originally was suppose to be a resident evil title but the game stray to far so they made it its own game.
