    51Y

    E 24 - f3 f5 f2 f2 df b9 f2 f2 f3 b7 f2 bp6 b2 f2 b8 v8 df b2 d6 b4 f7 b5 f2 b9
51Y has a variety of winners but makes the majority with or thanks to a strong forehand (7/21); despite a good looking backhand slice, that's where the majority of errors come from (13/23), in particular on the return (5/13)
Hotshot makes most winners with direct points on serve or outright aces (9/19). Dropshots are a weapon too. The forehand is clearly the weaker shot here with only 2 winners and 11 errors, with 6 of these 11 on the return.
This would mean for the 2nd set that Hotshot should aim for the backhand while 51Y should aim to the forehand, in particular when serving. Hotshot can continue using dropshots and 51Y can continue coming to the net. Having played each other many times, they surely have their tactics straight.

Set #5 for blue shirt guy was 👌🏼! His serve at the 9:20 mark was unbelievable the way it hit the corner of the service box. 😯. Red shirt guy then delivered some sweet revenge in his set #4 win. Red shirt guy’s corner serves is just right! Great game, guys! Can’t wait for set 2. Your two playing style and level are so comparable, this might be another 10 hour marathon tennis game like MEP’s and US Open John. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂😂

that hook in the first game was pretty significant. Great playing from both players. Blue shirt's slice backhand is a thing of beauty tho. Some of those defensive slices on deep balls in the corner were simply stunning. Def can see why these guys are 4.5 level.

Glad that call didn't change the outcome, was pretty obvious. I'm sure it was unintentional though, we all miss calls especially when trying to play the ball at the same time. Fun set of tennis!

Ok, I watched half of this Part 1. I’m focusing on Blue Shirt 51-yr old. Oh. I’m UTR 9.3, ranked #1 in my section in 55’s, like #56 in the US, and I used to be #1 in the 35’s , and #17 in the US 35’s, and I’m a career high performance USPTA Elite pro. Blue shirt has AWESOME, gorgeous modern forehand, semi-western grip, semi-open stance, modern footwork and stroke. Backhand drive is alright and the backhand slice is fantastic. Miss it long though if you’re gonna miss it. I wish it had a little less underspin though. You have so much, cause you’re in a strict continental grip that it causes you to take a big swing. But, it’s still really nice. Mine is none better. Long term goal: shift the grip a hair over toward the backhand side and it’ll be a little flatter and penetrate more. I do mine exactly like yours, and I’m trying to get it a little flatter. Your movement is good, your variety too. Your serve is very nice. But, a couple ways to improve it. Your take back is very Vic Braden-esque with a huge body turn and J toss. Your stance is very square. I wish you closed it a little bit it’s ok. All your weight goes on the front foot so i I I don’t get anything off the back foot push, lessening the upward and forward explosion into the kinetic chain. Try to plant a little right on the back foot. That’ll keep you from opening up too early. And the toss floats so far left that you open up your hips and shoulders too much. At contact, your head is really down off the ball. Try to keep a little sideways (45 deg.) and stay with the contact with your head up and both shoulders and your arm will accelerate and whip through. Having said that, you are a GOOD player, better than many 4.5’s. I like your style and your game. If you saw my game, on my channel, you’d see some areas in need of improvement too. Thanks for posting. It was fun.

There are second serves- we posted the serves that went in to keep the video shorter. The slower ones/more back bend are the second serves.

Great game, but honestly I believe the balls were horrible. So less bounce. If you were using Penn, please switch to Dunlop or Wilson extra duty ones.

Also great drop shot disguise 10:26 - should use it more often.
How about having each of your players give us a short lesson on their best shot?

Bad call right out the gate!!! So blue shirt actually lost that first game to a bad call! Maybe that's why he's losing 85% of the time?

Nice set, two very good, solid start players. Any one cold have been take the victory home...let's see second set.
BTW...I see @tennistroll struggle with his slice because it is too high. I love how 50YearsOld player position his body before hitting a slice. Even when it is no so deep, it bounce always forward and low, so it becomes difficult to hit it hard. Look at here: ua-cam.com/video/hmtqd0PVgn0/v-deo.html

We are considering it. Want to see what the feedback is from viewers so thanks for letting us know.
