Top 5 WORST Max Raid Battle Trainers in Pokemon Sword and Shield!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 лип 2024
- Pokemon Sword and Shield just released on November 15th, and it has become one of my favorite Pokemon games of all time. A new feature called Pokemon Max Raid Battles were introduced into Pokemon Sword and Shield. It involves teaming up with three others to take down a Dynamax Boss to have the opportunity to catch, receive EXP Candies, TR’s, etc. The higher the tier the Pokemon, the better the rewards. However, when you are by yourself, it does get a bit difficult to take on higher level raids. There are some good Max Raid NPCs (Non-Playable Characters), and there are some that are not so good. In this video, I will be covering the top 5 most infuriating NPCS you can get to raid battle in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Please note that this is an opinion video, and that you may not agree with my rankings. However, I would love to see what you think in the comments section below about my list. Let me know what you would add or take out. Also, tell me some of your bad experiences with these trainers and their Pokemon. I am very interested to see how these characters can screw up anyone else’s raiding experiences.
I would like to give a special thanks to Kanto’s Hero for suggesting this video topic. It was fun to make! Also, go check him out! He is just starting out, and he is a really cool content creator!

I wish the game allowed you to solo raid... I swear it'd be a hundred times easier.
>10 turns
>Most 5-star raids have 2 shields that take 5 hits to knock off
>Shields trigger at a certain HP percentage, which stops HP loss at that percent
Good luck.
If they did a solo version I'm sure they'd up the turn count as that would be the only issue with soloing.
And what would happen if your Pokemon was KO'd?
I guess that'd be the risk of doing it solo.
Solo raid yes but I still want to send out 4 of my own Pokemon to do raids. It would be like triple battles but you are sending out 4 to fight 1 Max raid Pokemon.
I find it funny how magikarp isnt the worst. Shes actually useful occasionally
Yeah, honestly the fact that Magikarp has all attacking moves is very nice. No turns when it intentionally does nothing. Too bad it's stats are terrible and it has to rely on hydro pump though. 😂
Magikarp is actually one of the best 😂😂😂
Casual_Noot No Its not 😂😂😂
I mean if you have a level 100 eternataus then yes it is
It knows Hydro Pump, of all moves for a Magikarp to have
I wish they just let you pick the npc. When the gym leaders told you to call them I thought they mean calling them for max raids :(
That wouldve been so nice.
That’s an awesome idea
@@therealchristian1 I know right!?
If only...
Me too.
I swear Wobbuffet NEVER chooses the correct move.
“Oh, we’re fighting Gigantamax Machamp? MIRROR COAT!!!!”
The amount of times Wobbuffet used Mirror Coat and Amnesia on a _Gigantamax Snorlax_ made me want to die. It had a chance to be MVP and it just refused to take it.
Fighting gmax drednaw here is a torkal and a fire salamander XD.
@@TelikiMouse At least Torkoal's Drought ability makes it so water type moves don't sting as much.
@@treehugger0241 still a torkal against a drednaw yeah the drought didn't help that much.
@@treehugger0241 Fighting Gmax Snorlax was the first I had it do something. Snorlax uses spread moves...
But it decided to want to Safeguard when it could have broken the last shield.

"Solrock used cosmic power"
Wise Sage of the Fanservice realms yup
Eevee has always used Helping Hand on my Pokémon.

Moral of the story? USE TAUNT ON SOLROCK 😂
Honestly that is not a bad strategy. Haha
Big Stonks Epic Ness Gamer. This solves all our problems. Let it use 2 to 3 set up moves use taunt and u have urself a beast solrock and ur god pokemon. Max raid pokemon BEWEAR
Omg why didn't do that!
Yes. And have Wobuffet use struggle
You shouldn’t have to waste one of your precious turns to make the AI useful
I also hate that the game gives you literally the worst choices for Raids. Oh, a Grass type Raid? Wishiwashi, Magikarp and Solrock then. I sometimes lose a raid just because 1 Pokémon faints 4 times...
I once fought a Dynamax Golurk and guess who came to help? That idiot with JOLTEON!
ness294
Oh yeah, that thing has nothing but Normal- and Electric-type Moves, doesn’t it?
@@rainpooper7088 Yup. meaning its literally useless against golurk.
FireSonicYT the worst part is that jolteon literally can learn shadow ball
I've had a few online Max Raids with 3 players and 1 dumb CPU trainer that always finds a way to faint 4 times in a row and expel everyone out the den.
Battle tower npc teams: *will beat you with in an inch of your life
Raid battle npcs: *half the time does literally nothing*
Andres Salinas The battle tower npcs are easy for me. They either spam protect or do status moves that I can easily kill them before they can do any real damage
Evan Tomlinson I don’t know what gane you’re playing then because literally it seems like EVERY team is cherry picked to perfectly counter my own. Like initially yes I was in the same boat, I was beating every trainer in the tower without a second thought, but now I rarely if ever can get into a match where I’m at an advantage
@@henryknippling2408 if you are doing doubles, pick the rain team with pelipper and raichu as your opening, with ludicolo and seismitoad as backups. Using this strategy I got to master ball tier with only 1 loss.

Why can’t we just use 4 of our own Pokémon in the raids
NPC raid partners is gamefreaks not so subtly way to get team up with other players. Either get your friends to play with or use the online.
Would have been to easy
Robotmaster 1 and then you have awful matchmaking and stamp system
@@ieo8446 A pokemon game being easy, who would have thought. Seriously, the main reason they made the partner AI brain dead is so you have to use the online.
Why not just add the ability to choose npc partners like in Black&White/2 and have your friends last used pokemon while connected to you!
We’ll never know what Martin was trying to accomplish
He wanted to maximize his defenses, but then the raid boss is always like.... NOPE.
His goals are beyond our understanding
He's so gentlemanly, we plebians could never understand his true intentions.

To get everyone killed duh
Y'all Mind if I Cosmic Power and get one shot anyways

Yup
Darn it, zacian use behemoth blade on Your Local Guh-Huh
I can’t find any other youtubers talking about this. This is so frustrating having a high leveled Pokémon in a tier 5 raid and having no other help from the NPC’s. Why couldn’t we get better help as we progressed in the story
They probably just want people to go online or play with friends locally. It is possible to win but it is quite infuriating.
ThirdGenGamer agreed, it’s just aggravating having to redo the same raid battle
ThirdGenGamer but they then decided to make it so gigantamax Pokémon have extremely low catch rates, but soloing them give a 100% catch rate.
@@ThirdGenGamer too bad having actually useful teammates is locked behind a paywall (I know it's not much but still).
Aris Danegelis when the gym leaders say that you can call them, why can’t you ask them for help in the raid battles?!

If you get 2 or 3 of these, soft reset, that is

Everytime my brother and i team up for raid we get him. We lost so many just barely because of the fool
Never have I agreed with a list so much. Especially with Wobbuffet and Solrock...oh, the battles lost due to them just standing there.
Yeah those two are pretty terrible. They could be flipped around since they are pretty dang close. But I had to put Martin at #1. He gave me the hardest time.
@@ThirdGenGamer You know you fucked up when the official game site mocks you. There's a page on Max Raid Battles at the main Pokemon site, and Martin is an object of mockery there.

It'sa Silas! I want throw their own Pokémon at them!
Wobbuffet is worse than Solrock because all Wobb does is spam Amnesia and Counter (which ALWAYS fails). Solrock at least sometimes uses Rock Throw and does a little bit. Also I didn't know it had Psychic because I've never seen it LOL
Same
cosmicpower
Yeah, Solrock sometimes actually hits the boss. I NEVER saw Wobbuffet do anything but sit there.
Pingu is epic I didn’t even know wobuffet learned amnesia until seeing that shitty trainer lol
It’s worse because solrock *could* help you, but he just doesn’t
Who are the top 5 worst raid trainers in sword and shield?
Me: Yes
Literally anyone who isn't a player
Snorlax and Hawlucha trainers are pretty good. Only because Snorlax doesn't faint every turn and Hawlucha actually knows when to attack.
Mudbray is sometimes useful tbh
Maractus has pin missle
The Jolteon and Weaville are good
The worst is the one who brings a Storm Drain Gastrodon when everyone is using water types -_-
*uuuuuuuhm, sorry?*
Yeah that sucks, I was using gastrodon with storm drain, and that magikarp girl kept spamming hydro pump on me and I was like: “Thanks for the boost but, I need you to destroy the shield”, she did it again: ”Hey stop, I’m already full of SP.A” and again: “OH MY ARCEUS, WISH I HAD FRIENDS”
Moist RNR, you made the same mistake as I did
Just read the description of storm drain, f for all of those souls I have destroyed, gotta find a new water type for raid battles
@@moistrnr7391 yeah, i made that mistake except with bringing a manectric with lightning rod.
Wait... Eevee has moves other than Helping Hand??
(this is a joke btw)
Eevee Kid isn’t Bad, Good For Destroying The Last Shield With Quick Attack, And Helping Hand Is Not Bad
Funny I don’t remember it using helping hand
Actually, I don’t remember it using anything...
@@unnamedkidn.5944 The damage boost is irrelevant. It does absolutely fuck-all to shields and your damage is capped at the next barrier threshold.
@@unnamedkidn.5944 Problem is it uses Helping hand almost 98% of the time and gets everyone killed.
Nope, gotta disagree with you about Eevee, it ALWAYS uses Helping Hand when I’m trying to take out shields, and NEVER uses any other moves
the sad thing is, eevee would be EXTREMELY useful in raids if that one chromosomed trainer stopped spamming helping hand.
I welcome the hydro pump spam, but that's because I bring dracovish to raids, and you can do a bunch of damage through shields if you do a bunch of damage.
YEP! Eevee does that for me, too! It deserved the spot that Magikarp was given. Legit a waste of turns on helping hand EVERY TURN, yet I’ve never seen Magikarp miss a hydro pump, and it comes in clutch every time I have it.
Agreed
its all good until it uses round while the barrier is down
5 star giga pokemon appears:
Marlins solrock, wobuffet, togepi: now this is a job for me
Jazyzamp I wanna die with Marlins solrock showed up!!
Oh, a water type pokemon?
Solrock, Heatmor, and Salazzle!
That solrock is the bane of my existence.
NeverThere kill it with water than kill Martian with fire!!
Shadow Force bring a taunt mon and taunt the solrock
The maractus that always uses solarbeam instead of giga drain when there's no sun, and the pikachu that used an electric move on lanturn even *after* seeing it had volt absorb
Yeah they are all joys to work with..... Haha
My similar fate was doing a Water Absorb Lapras raid with the Dancer girl's Wishiwashi hitting it with Water attacks.
Yo don’t disrespect the maractus, sucker punch pog.
at least your pikachu uses something other than iron tail (which i have still yet to see land)
The Wishiwashi used aqua tail on a Lapras that absorbs water.
The worst thing is getting two or three of these NPCs in one Raid. There's nothing I hate more going against a 5-star Raid and seeing Eevee, Togepi, and Clefairy as my 'helpers'.
Nobody:
Freya: Lets make eevee only use helping hand to annoy the player while the enemy has a barrier
Just sayin. Maractus trainer joined me 5 times in a row against a gmax centiskortch and always spammed solar beam but gets one shot each time before it attacks 🤦♂️
Yeah... I have noticed that after I made this video. That spam with solar beam is quite annoying. 😂
Maractus is actually pretty useful when it’s not spamming solar beam since it also has sucker punch and giga drain.
QuiteOddish 16 but that’s when it doesn’t spam solar beam 😂
Getting the Torkoal trainer and the Maractus on the same team is usually really good though imo. Maybe not against Centiskortch, but against a lot of stuff, I really like getting the pair.
IceFire I think I got that pair in a Quagsire raid.
Ur telling me Martin's Solrock doesnt only know Rock Polish and Cosminc Power?
Im surprised aswell
I've seen it use rock throw ONCE. I have also NEVER seen psychic. You would think, that after loosing all his boosts, he'd learn he can't set up. Game Freak said the raids were difficult... no... The AI is dumb and exists to sabotage you... almost every raid is easy if you have a team of half competent humans....
Ive seen rock throw twice... vs a grass type

@@user-lh7mt7zo7l Would rather actually find a shiny

Ah, yes. Type advantage. This was very much the optimal choice.
Owen Myers when I do raids even human players are dumb enough to bring Pokémon that are quad weak to the Pokémon we are fighting
1 day I was against a Roselia
CPU's pokemon were:
-Magikarp
-Qwilfish
-Pikachu
I mean, Weavile can be useful as long as you're not up against a Pokemon that resists Ice or Dark. Definitely one of the better partners
What I always liked about pokemon is that it was never a "pay to win" game. You just bought the game once and then you'd immediatly have access to everything it has to offer. With pokemon sword and shield however, you pretty much have to buy nintendo switch online or else you simply can't win some raid battles no matter how hard you try. This is something that really upsets me about the games and I don't think the pokemon company is gonna fix it.
Switch online is cheap af damn near free
Previous online services were _actually_ free. This piece of junk isn't.
Yeah they definitely made it that way on purpose. Pretty disappointing. I mean, a magikarp npc for Raid battles? They aren’t even trying to hide it.
F
Actually if you reach level 100 it seems to level up your AI partners until they are durable enough to make most raids doable. Or at least I haven't had any 5 stars yet that I couldn't do using them. Having online partners is better, but not vital.
Eevee player: Uses helping hand on solrock
Solrock player: CØSMÏC PØWER¡!¡!
Togepi player: life dew!
Wobbuffet Player : use safeguard.
@@princessrainbowpeach3937 safeguard is pretty good tho, especially with g-max toxtricity raids
Fan Theory: Gentleman Martin is actually evil and is trolling the player
Magikarp oddly is one of my better NPC partners lol. Even in 5 star raids, she pulls her weight around. Don't ask. For some odd reason it works.
It does help that it will attack 100% of the time so it can take out barriers. But spamming hydro pump when shields are up is irritating. Lol
At least it attacks when it has shields up. Sure it’s not doing a lot of damage but at least the shields are being taken care of. I’m usually the one who does like 80 percent of the damage anyway lol.
@@timothyflair2958 True. There is no doubt Magikarp will attack. But hydro pump missing a ton stings for me a bit. 😂
Yeah, Magikarp is one of the best raid partners because it is guaranteed to attack, and honestly that's all the AI has to do anyway, since you'll be the one doing all the damage. Getting three flail at 1 base power magikarps would be more helpful then most of the other pokemon you can get because it at least guarantees it will be taking down shields
Not only does that Magikarp have nothing but attacking moves, but in my case, she usually hits most of the time when she uses Hydro Pump, and I've had two or three cases where she made the killing blow! LOL
I love how the NPC sends a Mudbray and Heatmor against a Dreadnaw. Perfect. Am I right?
When Togepi uses Life Dew but everyone’s HP is full
I think Destiny Bond is one of the moves 'banned' in raids like High Jump Kick or Zen Headbutt. So, Wobuffet will never be good in raids.
Yeah... probably. It would still be neat though if it did work.
Kelly Johana Unless you get lucky and the Wobbuffet gets hit alot
Would perish song work?
Think low kick doesnt work
@@peachbubble8652 Probably not
wobuffet's safeguard is an absolutely amazing asset against pokémon like gigantamax butterfree which can give your entire team a status condition in one turn. that's it. that's the only good thing about the wobuffet.
That is true. That is one instance that it is helpful. Though wobuffet didn't do that when I faced g-max Butterfree. Haha
If only the fucker would use it instead of spamming counter/amnesia
literally a 5 star toxtricity with 2 hp needed a single attack and the only pokemon left was clefairy and it used life dew and she was already on full health and made me lose and cry in the corner for 10 minutes
Stupid Clefairy
I hate clefairy
Reminds me of how I would've gotten a 5 star Toxtricity had the person hosting used a Ground-Type instead of their shiny Gyarados. They used their shiny with a horrible type disadvantage because "hey look I have a shiny and I'm flexing on the people that don't have shinies" and it cost me a Toxtricity (I have a billion Toxtricities but I like Surprise Trading them when I get a bunch)
@@SilverAceOfSpades worst part is everyone most likely got a shiny gyarados from the new year event so thats probrably worst kinda flex i got some extra MRB toxtricitys if you want one though if that makes you feel better
Clefairy is sometimes helpful when my cinderace is at low health clefairy uses follow me and saves my cinderace but it’s still so annoying
It's especially extremely frustrating when you are able to complete the raid just by yourself but the npcs die and ruin it
a short complaint about all allies;
any with * have a focus sash. any others have no item
Qwilfish* - pin missile on shields only breaks one bar even if it hits 5 times with negligible damage
Throh - cannot touch ghost types
Solrok - spams set up then gets changes erased or dies before attacking
Dhelmise - shows up in type disadvantages and too slow to survive 2 rounds with out healing
Heatmor - pretty slow and not very bulky survive 1 maybe 2 hits
Maractus - solar beam. every turn. without sun. basically halving total turns to 5 (if its even alive)
Togepi* - base stats genuinely if it was evolved it would stand so much better
Snorlax - giga impact on shields even if it has more bars after
Torkoal - drought often ruins team formations and clear smog after lowering boss defences
Wishiwashi - all water moves, swap whirlpool and aqua tail for aqua ring and any other type
Combee - (never seen personally) but base stats and move set is a basic combee
Mudbray* - super power with shields up lowering its stats for negligible damage
Magikarp* - base stats (let it evolve please a level 70 still doesn't do much )
Jolteon - super frail and can only use electro ball against ghost types
Wobbuffet - amnesia + mirror coat against physical mons, safeguards after status affliction
Hawlucha - spams feather dance which fails on shields
Clefairy* - follow me too frequently, rarely heals and base stats (but still one of the best)
Pikachu* - spams an iron tail that always misses never capitalises on priority for shield breaks
Weavile - way too frail + most raid bosses have someway to hurt dark or ice (extra moves)
Eevee* - helping hand when shields are up and only two mons are up it being one of them
Salazzle - 3 moves only 2 if against a steel type always dies in one hit (no focus sash)
most of these pokemon would be better if they were;
1) evolved
2) given better items or items in general
3) not reduced to 70% of the hosts level (at most they can be level 70) even 85-90% seems better
4) allow host to force an NPC to Dynamax (if only 1 human) help with bulk and 2 turn moves spam
5) be selected before the raid starts, random abilities like drought can hinder damage output
I honestly hate how multi-hit attacks only count as one shield bar.
Did you seriously suggest Aqua Ring for a raid battle moveset?
@@selectivepontification8766 Its not negated by the stat change wipe, the trainer AI (usually) knows aqua ring is a one time move rather than a stat boosting move which can be stacked (aka cosmic power Solrock), the move itself helps keep Wishiwashi in school mode where it has substantial bulk compared to half of the other allies, so yes I am suggesting it, why would you not?
@@bluegallade It's a one-time move, yes, but the health regen does literally nothing compared to the damage bosses can put out, so it's just a one-time version of Solrock's Cosmic Power in that regard. Any attack move would be better than Aqua Ring (Ice Beam comes to mind) if only because attack moves actually help break barriers and rack up damage, because at the end of the day Raid Battles are almost always just DPS races.
@@selectivepontification8766 I see your point that offence is needed for raid battles hence why I said only one move needed to be a self support skill. But look at the other offensive allies like jolteon and weavile they are constantly taken out in a single move. And when your side faint four times you lose.
So as much as you need to deal damage you need to survive as well.
Every single raid I've failed with AI has been due to fainting never once the 10 turn limit.
Take the snorlax raids, earthquake and rock slide hitting can knock every one out in a single turn ending the raid there, unless they have some bulk like school!Wishiwashi
I’m not kidding when I say this but that magikarp trainer saved my bacon way more then I would like to admit
I wish the AI could at least do a cheer when their pokemon falls, like come on
WHAT I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THEY WERE ALL INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERS I THOUGHT THEY WERE RANDOM THIS IS SO COOL
Kiji creates ummmm why
Dark TSM lol idk
lol
I feel like that was such a huge revelation for u lol
An update with Rivals and Gym Leaders joing raids.
Oh, gym leaders help in raids, alright. Just not the ones where you can catch the pokemon.

I fell out of my chair in astonishment when Martin's solrock finished off the raid pokemon with psychic
I would rather have a team with the Clefairy, Togepi, and Magikarp than getting either Wobbuffet or Solrock
i will name a save file martin, use the gentleman portrait, and join people's raids with solrock and spam cosmic power. nobody can stop me
Then dynamax and spam protect
This is top tier
Honestly I would replace Magikarp with Maractus. I have not seen Maractus use anything but Solar Beam and seeing as how all the NPCs really need to do is to chip away at the shield while you do the actual damage, having an NPC that has to wait one turn and survive, then use just one move to break one bar on the shield is a lot more aggravating than a Magikarp that actually attacks.
The only time I can tolerate Maractus is if you're also teamed with the Torkoal trainer. That way, Maractus's Solar Beam hits every turn as long as the Sun stays active
Sometimes Maractus will use sucker punch, which is nice
@@LatinGiudo817 Or if you use Max Flare
@@mathybrain8 That too
When I've had Maractus, it sometimes uses Sucker Punch, and it actually does some damage. But then it dies. xD
Well, the reason Wobbuffet doesn't have Destiny Bond is because it doesn't work in Raid Battles. Moves like Ghost-type Curse, Super Fang, Pain Split, weight-based moves and Berry-affecting moves aren't allowed in Raids. So a Destiny Bond Wobbuffet wouldn't even be useful... :(
They could've made, that the Raid Pokemon would lose like 1 sixth of its health. Then it definetly wouldn't be in this list
Ghost-type Curse does work in raids though. You just need to use it before they put up shields.
Some of the better ones that come to mind are Salazzle, Weavile, Dhelmise, Snorlax, etc
I agree! There are some good ones like I said at the beginning. They don't beat an actual player, but these are definitely tolerable!
@@ThirdGenGamer I love seeing the ones you listed as well as Throh, Jolteon and Mudbray. My only argument is how frail Weavile and Salazzle can be, especially when you're dealing with let's say G-Max Drednaw.
@@LatinGiudo817 That's true but they're definitely better than some of the other frail or even worse, useless mons. Other than the ones with the focus sash but at least these guys are more useful. More often not it seems like sash mons die from weather or a rock slide that hits two mons or whatever other bs
I actually don't like the Salazzle much at all. In my experience, it only uses fire lash despite having flamethrower and sludge bomb. And it always dies in one hit. My favorite ones are Snorlax, Weavile and getting both Torkoal and Maractus on the same team. Torkoal enables the Maractus's solar beam spam and the Maractus also has sucker punch and is immuned to water moves because of its ability. And Torkoal just tanks hits.
I kid you not Clefairy has saved my ass on so many occasions and there are times when hawlucha pulls off a move that can help in the long run but the second I see that dam Solrock trainer I can legit feel my chances of winning drop I hate the thing with a passion unlike anything I've ever felt before not even the two royal pains in my ass got me this worked up.
I have so many issues with the raid barriers. Having a Pokémon that only uses counter doesn't help
I lost a 5 star weavile that had a slither of health. All it needed was one more attack and the last attacker of the turn was wobbuffet... no the amnesia didn't do much to it
@@sketchups4672 Yeah I feel your pain.... The only positive about Wobbuffet is that it can take hits.... for the most part. LOL

I have a bad habit of getting Maractus as an ally for Centiskorch. And occasionally a drought Torkoal, so that's always fun.
Personally I tend to find that when it's a 3-star Raid, the allies are pretty much irrelevant as I can brute force my way through those on my own... 4 and 5 star Raids though, yeah, that team is infuriating.

Once the solrock FINALLY attacked, it hit OUR TEAMMATE
... What.

Solrock: Cosmic Power.
Wobbuffet: Counter.
Hotel: Trivago.
Me: Ooooh cool a 5 star fire type raid! Imma send out my Inteleon!
That one Torkoal with the ability Drought: *I'm about to end this man's whole career*
*Clefairy on red after dying 3 times*
Me: "please no please don't do it...."
*Clefairy uses follow me*
Me: "fuuuu-"
i mean the max raid is going to target clefairy either way
Gotta love the school girl bringing her Magikarp to a GMAX Charizard raid
It’s the final phase of the storm, everyone is at low HP, including the boss, and one attack would be enough to KO the boss.
Alphies Wobbuffet and Martins Solrock:
a goat Maractus: Here, let me charge up Solar Beam!
G-Max Snorlax (with just a sliver of HP left: *uses Earthquake*
Maractus: *ded*
*Kimberly got thrown out of the den!*
That solrock trainer is the Bain of my existence
Okay i need to defeat this poison type
Pokémon: Water electric grass, take it or leave it.
Me: okay going against an Arcanine, so I'll use inteleon
*sees first ally whishiwashi *
Me: good
*sees clefariy*
Me: alright, that will help keep the wishiwashi in school mode
*sees Torkoal with drought - gimping me and wishiwashi and boosting the arcanine with sunny day and flash fire absorbing flame wheel*
me: ....
Bruh
Exactly lmao
Omg. I heard my name! That's awesome man. You didn't even have to do that, but thank you!
You're very welcome!

I especially hate it when the Clefairy and Togepi survive a Max Rockfall with their Focus Sash, but die to the Sandstorm at the end. This happens more often than you would believe.
Clefairy shouldn't go down to Sandstorm with its Magic Guard ability.
@@JDC2890 must be all the other NPCs with Focus Sash then. Magic Guard or not that Clefairy drives me insane by how easy it dies.

That hawlucha would be great if he didn't constantly use featherdance on special attackers or while the shields are up
That Hawlucha is a total hit or miss
It either spams flying press or feather dance
It would be a little more tolerable if the damn raid Pokemon were GUARANTEED catches, but noooooope.
Use more useful Pokeballs, like a Level Ball if your Pokemon are maxed out.
My experience: I'm the only one that attacks at all.
i was fighting a max snorlax with the solrock dude, so I had my corvinight use taunt on the solrock.

Well this isn’t related at all, but as I posted this comment, you have 696 subscribers.
Top 5 BEST max raid NPC trainers. I think the Snorlax trainer is the MVP of the (very bad) npc trainer bunch.
The best trainers
Top 5 cutest Pokémon. If you don't put snom at #1 your dead.
The ONE time I saw Solrock attack for once, I was like "wait it can actually attack? Why the h*ll doesn't it attack more often."
Actually my friends and I once got Solrock on our team while Max Raiding and he was actually useful for once. Pretty crazy stuff.
The trainer with the Togepi saved me a couple times with life dew.
Same, that Togepi saved me a few times from my team getting murdered
Wobuffet: hit em with a COUNTER ATTACK
Solrock: yeah bro distract it while I COSMIC POWER
Solrocks stats can no longer rise
Five more times hyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Eevee always uses uses helping hand when the boss has a shield activated, and I get her every single time. She would be my top 1 worst NPC
shes my 1st. i hate her with a passion
I’ve actually had good luck with that Eevee 90% of the time. It often uses Helping Hand on me and since I Dynamax it helps me out a lot.
Whenever I see Martin show up, I restart the raid battle.
To be honest, they're all very of terrible.
These are facts
Except Hawlucha
Hawlucha's cool
Ok
I really dislike Torkoal. I may not be entirely honest, because I hate how Drought reduce the power of my Dracovish Fishious Rend. But, Torkoal have a move that I never see him used correctly: Clear Smog. That Butterfree used 4 Quiver Dance? Better use Flamethrower. The shield just broke and the enemy just lost -2 Defense & Spe. Def.? Make sure to clear that!
Some of them are useful like Heatmor, Snorlax, Mudbray, Dhelmise, and Throh. Hawlucha can annoy me at times with using Feather Dance at crucial moments, just for it to be nullified by the Raid Boss's shields.
THAT MARTIN DUDE I S W E A R
HE KEEPS INCREASING HIS STATS
THEN RAID POKEMON NULLIFIES STATS
HE KEEPS INCREASING
THEN HIS SOLROCK DIES
LIKE DUDE
DO DAMAGE
Me: Solrock's gotta be number 1
Also me: I knew it
Don't you just love needing one more hit to win a max raid battle, but then all your teammates just use status moves as the dynamax opponent just kills one if them and throws you out of the den?
*it's my favorite thing*
Ok, I hate that wobbeffet, but it at one point saved me during a raid. Three Pokémon had already fainted, so I was in trouble. The Pokémon I was fighting still had a full fourth of its health left and was under a shield, so I was starting to give up. But I got lucky, because Wobbeffet used counter after barely surviving a attack and absolutely OBLITERATED the raid mon in that upcoming attack. After that I don’t hate it nearly as much as I once had.
I have had a couple times where wobbuffet was basically a punching bag and took hits, and then some times where he actually landed a counter. But, I can say that it is very rare to see it do well. Thanks for the comment! I am literally enjoying reading all of these comments from everyone. :D
Me: trying to get big hat boi
Hawlucha and Throh: Allow us to introduce ourselves.
I will never forgive Oscar trying to Feather Dance a shielded Torkoal of all things.
Me: “ok lets beat this raid”
Martin: “Y’all mind if i uhhh... COSMIC POWER”

A lot of you requested for a Top 5 Best Max Raid Battle Trainers video, and I have officially posted it! Definitely go check it out! ua-cam.com/video/WbQ7GS_EpaI/v-deo.html
Not an NPC but an actual person, I was fighting a Gigantamax Centiskorch with Inteleon using max geyser and this *person* had the audacity to bring a Gastrodon with the ability *Storm Drain*, which meant all of my water type attacks did nothing but boost the Gastrodons special attack, basically number 1 on this list but prevents you from attacking, fuck you whoever brung a Gastrodon with Storm Drain to a *Fire* type max raid battle.
Woomyneer Martin and his solarock that doesn’t attack
This is why I use Zacian, or Eternatus. *(Even though it doesn't always go as planned)* Once that shield goes down just once, the Wild Max Raid Pokemon gets a Def. Special Def. Drop, and using Behemoth Sword, or Dynamax Cannon, it does quite a bit more damage even with that second Shield. Which is helpful, in this case, I have defeated some Max Raids with them still having a Shield up. But like I said, it doesn't always work as planned, even though Eevee does happen to usually use Helping Hand on my Pokemon, but I don't know the difference in damage. But if they could use the Dynamax power when I can't (Because legendaries can't) It might actually be helpful. But the only issue I get with these trainers, is that they IRONICALLY end up using pokemon as a Type disadvantage, like Salazzle fighting a Ground type pokemon, or something that uses Ground Type moves.
ThirdGenGamer the move destiny bond gets overruled by the power of dynamax, same with perish song.
ThirdGenGamer if you want to not have to worry about NPcs just use a level one hundred Lapras!
MARTIN IS GOAT. BE NICE TO HIM.
OH WAIT; THAT'S OSCAR!
Oscar likes to use feather dance. When does he like to do it? When a barrier is active!
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
The eevee trainer be like: *helping hand*
These trainers make think of one thing, just one:
It's best if you fight Gigantamax/Dynamax pokemon ALONE,1v1, head on
Actually I would not want it to be 1 vs 1 I would want it to be 4 vs 1 were I pick 4 of my Pokemon to battle a Max raid

For most players I think the barriers would make it exceedingly difficult to clear within the time limit. Thankfully for Dracovish, barriers are merely a suggestion.
Personally, that Hawlucha always tends to use Feather Dance when shields are up, doing nothing.
Overall, great list. Was fun watching it. Keep up the good work!
