a couple things. most importantly, wrap your ratchet with with the extra webbing. ratchets can explode and shoot metal everywhere. second, please point your toes forwards. its almost painful to watch you walk like that. you need your toes and heels inline with the slackline. try putting your arms straight out, then bend your elbows so your hands are above your head. kinda like a football field goal. that will help you a lot. stand up straight, but do keep you knees bent a little. look at where the slack line connects to the tree. lastly, although it is called a “slack line” a little extra tension could benefit you while you’re learning. it will also make it a little more bouncy, which is fun to walk on. overall, very entertaining to watch! keep it up lucas!
👆🏻👆🏻 this x100
Can confirm. OP seems to be a slackline informed fella. You do not Pigmie >
I just learned how to round off, wall flip corck and back full in 2 the last 2 months in grass, because you inspired me to Lear new tings again and again
slack line is really healthy on your legs, I personally find it helps strengthen ankles and knees really effectively, id recommend starting with a shorter distance between trees since that will make it a ton easier at first, or you can buy another regular ratchet strap to set up well above your main line as a hand hold and to help keep you on the line!
Make sure to lock the ratchet all the way down. The same way you pull the level on the handle to release it will also let you shut the ratchet all the way. On the part leaving the tree you'll want to create a fold in an upward v shape to allow the line to extend out parallel to the ground. You've also got it a little bit too slack for easy learning. The tighter it is the easier it is to learn the fundamentals and wake up those muscles that help keep you balanced. Id suggest doing it either barefoot or in shoes, grippy socks may work but definitely aren't the best option. One more tip is to try to keep your feet in line with the line rather than walking with the middle of the foot you should strive to go heel to toe.
Your one week challenges are definitely my favorite videos on youtube right now.
General learning tip: Do not underestimate REST DAYS. Just practice the skill visually on the rest day, and you'll still get better
9:00 every guy in a 100 mile radius: 😬😧😬😧
I was looking for this 🤣 thank you. Wish he showed more of that clip though after
I love watching your videos because you do a little bit of everything
I never get bored of watching your videos
I love how you always try new stuff! Every year I have a new year resolution, and it's always the same. " Learn something new" this year. Doesn't have to be crazy. Once I picked hoolahoop.
Now i want to learn all these things like doing a front flip on flat grund, AND IM GONNA DO IT!
Thank you for your great videos, they are very inspiring
Thx for teaching me how to backflip.
I just looked at a tutorial and I noticed that the other guy placed both his heal and the ball of his foot on the slackline at the same time, while you were turning your feet to the sides and walking on the arches. I think that is why you had so much trouble. He had 2 contact points on the line while you only had one.
I know you will master this.you should definitely keep trying to progress in this hobby. You just got to focus
That was Painful, The things You Do For your videos it’s Insane
LOL its fuckingslacklining. everyone does it
This is so cool love your progress 🤩 but please make sure the ratchet is fully closed everything after tensioning other wise it could open and fail when your on it. I made this mistake when I first started 🙏
Love your Challenges, it motivates me sooo much to try new things too! 🎉🔥
Another wonderful video keep it up 👍
i’m only three minutes in so forgive me if you figured this out later, but you’ll always go where you look, so if you’re looking at the ground be ready to hit it. i find its best to make eye contact with the tree. also, the ratchet handle crank thing folds up more. squeeze the smaller handle inside of it and try to fold it up completely. this makes walking loads easier because you don’t have to deal with that extra weight swinging around. good luck!
I thought this was a metaphor at first lol I was like psssh you don’t always get what you work for but you was being literal lol
7:32 pigmie, your ment to be supplying those tutorial videos🤣
Awsome content man
Cannot wait to watch this when I get home from work😃
Important things to remember, progression isn’t always linear and it comes in waves. Some days you’ll be better than other days even if you train every day.
Also slack lining with different lengths and different tightnesses does affect you a lot. I used to slack line back when I was super into rock climbing but I’ve torn ankle ligaments since then and my ankle isn’t really stable enough to slack like anymore
Hey pigmie i was wondering if you have any tips on overcoming your fears if you want to do a backflip
Try to practice standing on one leg on each side and balancing while still. Always looking at a fixed point, posture upright and arms open with hands up. Will help
Who knew you could slack off so much and be so successful.
You can ware shoes on slackline :D. Nice progress. You should try trickline, it's much more fun then just walking.
At least you'd land in something softer like snow
Pigmie trying to do it all!
My first thoughts are.... what in a jumper and socks in the snow 😱 I would be wearing my electric heater vest lol
Safety warning: you need to close the rachet all the way! In your videos, it's always slightly open which means that the crank could potentially open making the line suddenly slide/lose tension.
The best way to start is being able to stand on each foot individually in one spot for up to 10 seconds before starting to take steps
Try trickline because is more bouncy and there you can do soo many things..😎 And then highline.💪 I only dream about highline cause I cannot do even 15 meters on slackline for now. 😅 And this red color of slackline is soo beautiful. 😍
Researchers have found that ( after spending multi B on researching this / and perhaps More than ever researching this ) after researching that walking on a rope that everyone has tried this one time or another! But you gotta focus!
The shhhhhing 🤣🤣🤣
Nice bro
Fun fact: these videos makes our days better
Dope!
Literally to the 1% who's reading this, God bless you, and may your dreams come true, stay safe and have a wonderful day. 💕
very funny to watch as a slackliner :D how do you hippies do this :DDD
awesome
ouch
big stick!
ayyyy wsg
Butchu gotta focushhhhh
Socks in the snow! That's dedication.
Your feet need to be parallel with the line not sideways and you need to be able to take your time and walk across getting across quickly isn't balancing it's just carrying our momentum forward good start though
W video
What was your first filp ever ?
You should grow your beard for a week or two and see the results

Hello pigmie
What song was that at 10:00
I wanna try practicing slack line but I dont wanna knock out my balls
Most odd foot placement, did you not do any research before this? Nobody walks like this (for a reason), and the way the line is rigged only increased difficulty.
Damn
also your going to want tight fitting shoes or bare feet, socks are a nightmare! don't know how you did that for so long in socks 🤣🤣🤣
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ ?

AM I WATCHING A DUCK??? PUT YOUR FEET STRAIGHT PLZZZ
