No lie, I’m obsessed with this channel ! And I’m not even a brickie ❤
I’m 57 been laying bricks since college 1982
I still dry bond now, I got to laugth the amount people wondering what I’m doing, even saying aren’t you meant to put muck down first, I have to explain ,
O always dry bond its the only way,on long solder courses over lintels or steels dry bond , leave the bricks in place with your 10mm perps and 1 brick is 3 solders, if you dry bond the complete steel/ lintel your can’t go wring, make sure you double line it and check each solder with your boat level
I know every trick in the book , but still find easy adaptions
Live this Chanel , keep up the good work

Well done your work professional watch until the end wonderful
Remember it’s a tutorial for a complete beginner so I’ve really high lighted the basics ....however for a challenge I hid a message for u bricklayers in the vid ,there are 3 deliberate mistakes most of u got 1 £50 waiting for the 1st to get all 3
U will need your knowledge gentlemen 🧱
The beard, the shorts and the hat. £50 please .lol .nah jealous of the beard bud
3 things differently that I would tell a beginner the obvious 1 you are calling the arris a harris 2 after you dry lay them you wouldn't throw them back behind you you would pick up a brick put mortar and put the brick back were you had it dry 3 you would start the second course with a head or half to make sure you are on half bond of course I can point out other things but you said three so
Sorry what's the point in putting mistakes if making a video for beginners? what's even the point in the video if you're gonna do that 😂 muppet
harris to harris ! i must remember that one lol!!
A real big help for the rookie mason is using mortar joint spacers or a Masons Fork spacing tool.

You’re working against your hand bedding, turn 180 so your trowel Hand is not crossing your body

In architecture, an arris is the sharp edge formed by the intersection of two surfaces, such as the corner of a masonry unit; the edge of a timber in timber framing; the junction between two planes of plaster or any intersection of divergent architectural details.

This bloke says he builds 6 high corners without using a level so why can't he lay 3 bricks on a dead flat surface level.?🤔
