I feel like the reasons why alliances rarely "play out" in fog settings is because they are so valuable for vision that people frequently don't value the communication from them the same as in fogless games. There seems like less of a sense of cooperation with them in fog games. I'd really like to see toggle for alliances granting vision on fog games.
I've played with plenty of players who save up an alliance and only accept for a brief moment to get some vision before cancelling again. I would would be nice if offers of alliances could be revoked to discourage this behaviour.

I was super pissed to be off bonus all game pretty much, but I felt I had an allied in Yellow who was super friendly towards me.
I wanted to step out capital to let you move through italy and open purple, if you killed me then I knew you had a chance to win with my 4 cards now in your pocket. If I stayed alive, would have set and open purple through spain…

@@teardown1234he seemed pissed that nobody but him was hitting purple even though he opened up Pete's capital so he could attack purple but of course attacking purple at that time was not beneficial to Pete so it makes sense

Maybe we talk about two different games?
Green asked Pete at the end of turn 3 to attack red. Why red? Green and also Pete are far away. Pete reacts wise and asked to attack purple. Green did - to finish his bonus, nothing more. Then he asked directly after to attack the blue bot.
He also realized that purple took reds cap turn 4.
Just to remember: he asked to hit purple and blue, he skipped cards, he badly failed the red kill - which wasn't even worth it. Finally, after purple killed red and blue, he got scary and hit purple. But way to less and way to late and stacked on the wrong cap - to make it even easier for purple after he made him angry.
He had the chance and he failed badly, he just asked other people to work for him.
It was his job right from the start. He had the advantage at turn 3 to stop purple directly. He didn't. He skipped in turn 4 and wasted troops in turn 5.
Just to make it clear: as soon as purple finished WA he has three options. Italy, Spain and NA. Friendly could work. But which way would purple take when he finished the whole south? Well...we saw it.
I don't wanna make him mad and I also don't wanna say I'm a better player or anything.
I also don't wanna say he was a bad alliance, but a lazy one.
If he is interested in, he will learn a lot from that game. ;-)

Imagine a version of this with assassins… you accept the alliance of some nice guy but once he realizes you have 10 troops, he suddenly turns on you with all his troops!
I absolutely have done this. Someone sent an alliance request at the start of the game that I ignored until I was ready to turn on him. He realized him mistake I’m about 10 seconds but it was far to late by then….
Just had a big surgery done on my nose and mouth today which hasn’t been a comfortable recovery so far but thanks for all the content on both channels!! Perfect distraction from all the blood and pain

34:10 Green is begging you to interrupt purple, they open up your cap line by hitting a bunch of bot material. I think they would have been the ultimate homie and gone first and second with you
It would be great to have alliances that don't turn off the fog. Like you can communicate with players without seeing their entire game

Purple and green were the same player for sure. When you killed green he rage quit purple too.
Green opened your cap to get you to attack purple. You went ultra pacifist and got offended he broke you... why didn't you take the opportunity to help break purple?

Green was trying to negotiate with a bot early in the game. They were trying to signal to blue.

even outside of purple botting there was a win to get a cap run with a set or two from green kill, if properly distributed the ~80 leftover from killing green maybe using the 47 stack top on green too, you had enough troops to win without because all of purple was off cap and not properly defending
After the green kill, You had 236 troops to kill his 3 caps of total 83 totally winnable
Honestly I Feel like their needs to be a better system for boting out. I get it, its needed if someone is losing connection. However it just seems like people bot when they are pissed they got attacked, or when they are just bored of a game. When you find yourself in a game with all bots, makes the game less fun.
Yeah I think so too. There needs to be some of karma system to help mitigate people quitting games but one that doesnt punish honest disconnects.

Hey Pete, could you show the points for holding borders, in the beginning of the game, Would be easy to just go back in the clip to see if needed. I don't play Risk online myself but I enjoy watching it, so borders on Europe match etc is not something I'm familiar too.
I played a progressive caps game where I ended up with most of the map but I had one player card blocked in the middle of my territory. He was open to me but the other play we was not. I couldn’t kill either of them without losing to the other one… how do you get out of stalemates like this? Or is the only answer to not get into them to begin with?
You have to wait for them to hit eachother instead. Or card block. The people who think there's some sort of next level strat other than patience seem to be delusional

To me fog and alliances are pointless in terms of regular mechanics, But I can see it becoming the new skill meta because it enables some extra tactics, but I think the downsides (ie collaborators are going to be targetting that mode because it gives them an edge) outweigh the upsides...

I think Pete, that the new players you allied with were kind of following your lead. They took it slow because you did, they were too passive because they were emulating diverting who they thought knew what was going on. At least that's what it seemed like to me.

I'm 32:27 for what it's worth. I think the better judgement of alliances would be without fog but that's my .02. I think purple accepted your alliance so late for map visibility but I'm a humble master in zombies and have never came close to GM.
I'm down to test those variables as well.

I Think Risk is already a life lesson just as chess is. I mean caus of risk I am handling some situations differently as before risk. I’m great full that I found this awesome game and channel definitely more worth than for free. Thanks.

Reggie has only lived in this house. Some cats can take up to a few weeks to become acquainted with a new environment enough to feel safe with the new space and new smells etc. Just be patient. @@user-uj9xr5ib9z

Pete is so silly sometimes. He said at about 29 minutes that it’s gonna be a game where everyone lays down and does nothing and seems a tad annoyed about it. But he also had the ability to deal with purple and did nothing. I suck at this game so I’m sure there’s some sort of reason just seems a bit silly that if he wants purple in check that he doesn’t feel like he needs to be the one to do it

Hmm, I read the comments from the WHITE player, his mistake was when all he had to do was hit purple when he only had North Africa, then you would have played more aggressively against purple and held Spain far sooner. You actually had to wait until purple allies with you to take that. In addition green took you off France and did not hold the bot off you, so you got quite weak compared to purple and had to patiently not attack to much and get that card and bank. White also missed his chance and with 2 caps was far to focused on defending borders etc, as a newb this was all a bit to much for him. Red was plain stupid, constantly overattacking and he practically gave the game to purple by stepping off his cap ( thats right yes ?) And of course purple going offline at the end gwfd you the win.

38:09 Pete, you failed to understand the most important implication of alliances, it allows you to dab on 69 but you missed it smh.
at 39:42 if you kept most of your stack in Rome and only used just enough to kill green, you could won on the same turn by taking all caps.
You would have approx 150-160 troops after you set on Rome, so with good rolls, it might be possible to take remaining 3 caps in 1 turn. Obviously risky, but if purple was still in game and considering his massive lead, that was your best shot at winning,

@@TheKillPeteStrategy there are many potential factors. And probably a combination of them: speed, fear you would win in the turn he quit.
Imagine how it would feel if you are ahead all of the game, but didn’t guard your caps enough and are about to lose in 1 turn to that. Definitely a potential for alt f4 😂
Happened to me couple times when I quit in similar manner many years ago when I was less mature and very bad at risk caps 😂

Pete’s showing that he might be friendly at least in Risk is the biggest scam ever 😂 never trust Pete always tells you to attack an enemy which he calculated to send you to your doom and kill you to become stronger then kills the enemy he first told you to attack … Epic that’s why I struggle in the game I’m always a loyal ingame friend … I’m the one that attacks other when an ally tells you to attack 😂 I need to learn more to apply this also in RL!! Trust is overrated only trust your guts !
