I really do love the Black Nazarene.. Everytime I go to Quiapo church this is the only wooden Saint figure that I go to but never been to Feast of Black Nazarena before.. I'm pure Catholic and I do believe in God, but not in religion..

There is a Big difference between saying "this picture is beautiful" and parading a statue risking your life just to touch it.

No offence, but that's just like having a picture. When you look at a picture of someone and say that the person is beautiful, are you referring to the picture itself or the person? See, even though the person is not there, you are able to say something about it through the picture. Christians believe that Jesus is God made man. They are doing this to show their everlasting devotion to the man who sacrificed himself for the good of all. They are not actually referring to the statue but d person.
