Great videos, a lot of details, much appreciated. I've been working on 2001 863, following your videos I had tilt actuator locking up the system, actuator was full of oil, only 3 years old. I replaced the spool seals and actuator, everything works fine now but I cannot calibrate.
Im curious how to calibrate when the controllers wont unlock. Ive pulled my actuators out and calibrated them to 2 volts. I did it based on your other video. When I put the actuators back in immediately throws the code that they are not in calibration. I've read a few things that if the computer on the machine senses that it's too far out it we'll just throw the code immediately. It's throwing the lift code first and if I switch the plugs it throws the tilt code first. I've also read some stuff online that activators want to be at 1.72 volts when flush to the casing. Im not sure whats right. Ive tried both 1.72 and 2 volts both times it did the same thing. If you have any input that would be awesome. Thanks
My bad, I realized that the neutral position was different because my actuators were different. I set them at 2v flush with the body and realized that that was good on the one but the other one needed to be 5mm in. Pur everything back together and ran it hard for about an hour, no issues. Thank you so much for all your videos! Super nice to have such knowledgeable people sharing info
We replaced the tilt actuator and had the right joystick repaired (circuit board) in our T320 and it will only give a 40-07, y-axis not in neutral code whenever we try to calibrate. All of the controls are functioning, however.
Will a secondary throttle not calibrated code cause a no start condition? Recently took apart the injection pump because we are guessing it’s bad because WIF event, but the inside of the pump looks pristine. So before buying a new pump would like to know if the secondary throttle not being calibrated will cause a no start condition.
Hi from Czech republic. I have a T190 with manual controls only. I replaced the motor in the actuator and during the calibration test it reports W3239. I tried calibrating it at least 15 times and still the same. Thanks for advice
Do you have a video on how to calibrate actuators on an m series? Have a T-870 that has started giving a W3250 code after running it for awhile (45 min- 1hr) and wanting to try avoid replacing it if not necessary.
I have an S300. Done this successfully before on this machine, but now as I follow the steps, my handles won't unlock. I start in "hand" position, turn the key to "on" (not run), hit the unlock green button, pull the bar down, but no unlocking of the handles. I have tried a few different coombinations, pulling the bar down and then hitting the unlock, but no success yet. What can be keeping those handles locked?
873 G with ACS hand control only. I just replaced tilt actuator. Trying to recalibrate using the method you show in the video but I keep getting 32-40 code. I think the problem might be During recalibration I do not hear the actuators recalibrating. Any recommendations on what to try next? Thanks!
How do I get the right handle sensor to neutral? One more observation is that when operating the tilt it vibrates with slow tilt either way. Not noticeable when with full tilt in and out.
If I buy and replace the actuator myself or get one that is rebuilt will I be able to use this calibration method on the new one and get it to work or does a newly installed actuator require dealer to use software to program it?
@@tetradgroup I had t300 main computer starting to let alternator overcharge and as a result it started throwing the acs code so arms would lock up but had dealer Install new computer and new alternator but acs still pops up at times and stops arm movements so maybe actuator went slightly bad due to the overcharging so now I’m looking to change it out myself thank you for your response it helps out people..
Thank you for your videos. Hopefully you get this comment. I am having trouble with my 2013 s530 with ACS. I’m getting an intermittent code for m3204. It says bobcat unable to communicate with ACS and it won’t unlock the controls. If I wait an hour and come back it works fine. I have changed the Switch for the hand and foot controls and I changed the ACS solenoid. The fuses and relays are also good. Do you have any suggestions on where I can look to figure this problem out? Thank you.
I'm having the same exact issue. Are you talking about the computer like box under the side panel? I commented on this video asking about calibration. I pulled the actuators out to test if they were working properly. but my original issue was the same as the comment above. Now I'm unable to unlock the machine at all due to calibration codes. Even tho I manually calibrated the actuators to 2volts and I even tried 1.72 volts. Is there any way to check the computer or reset?
Got it calibrated and running. I manually calibrated actuators and they seem to be working properly. I got it running and have been doing a bunch of work but the same issue is happening it will intermittently lock up with the code 32 - 04 I can let it sit for a little bit turn it back on and it'll work again sometimes I can just turn it off and back on and it'll work again sometimes it won't ever unlock that day. What's the best way to test the computer?
Yes. The ACS module fails internally. When it gets warm it stops working and then when it cools back down it will work again. I replaced the ACS controller and it’s all good to go now. Not sure if there is any way to test the ACS module itself. But it is pretty common for this model
I have an 04 S300 and once and while my bucket lift hand controls becomes slow, I do the recalibration and then it works fine but it will at some point within a day or two of operating it will get slow again. One time I had the lift run away on me and kept going up with no input from me on hand controls. Any ideas? Appreciate any advice you could offer
Sounds like the ACS controller is going bad. I would replace the joystick sensor and the ACS controller to make sure the issue is solved especially if you don't have any codes. Boom movement without input is dangerous.
@@tetradgroup to be clear the ACS controller is not the actuator correct? Would it be possible to send me links to parts? Or point me in the right direction for them.
Greetings from Romania , i have some problems with my bobcat s130 2008 with electric joysticks, i use iso controls , ive noticed that that sometimes when i open or close bucket he doesn t open or close with 100% speed , more like 20% speed , and if i hit again the comand its working fine , any idea what it could be? Thanks :)
Hard to say but I would suspect paddle switch not working correctly on the joystick. I'm assuming you are working a hydraulic bucket. The dealer could monitor switch position on the computer.

I get a 32-21 tilt actuator fault and a 32-25 code at times it just don’t seem to end I think I do need the tilt actuator
Just installed a new tilt actuator in my 2000 863 G series. It has the AHC not ACS. Will this calibration still work for my machine?
Any idea if this also works on SJC machines?
Did you find out?

32-40 is for the right handle sensor. If the sensor in the handle is out of neutral it will not initiate the calibration process.
