Hi Josh, I gotta say thanks for inspiring me to take up longboarding a couple of years about at 55. I will never skate the way you do, but the sense of freedom and pure connection to balance and movement can still be experienced even at 25 mph. My quality of life has improved, and I continue to make progress with skill development. One day I hope to skate a long open road, but for now I am satisfied with smaller hills. I’d be doing none of it if I had not stumbled across one of your Alpine Descents postings and seen how a gifted athlete can make magic on a mountain! Thanks again!

Josh Neuman's video's always inspired me, just the pure adrenaline and enjoyment of going warp speed down a mountain with beautiful scenery is capturing in a way no other video's seem to be. While his death is heartbreaking, I treasure the legacy he left in the form of these video's. May he forever skate down a mountain that never ends.
But skating down a mountain forever wouldn’t be so ideal it would be fun at first but how would you sleep, eat, drink? and when you would get tired how would you deal with that? This video shows me a primary reason to learn to skate: there are multitudes of applications in real life for the time rewind skill that you learn at the late stages of skateboarding.
😂😂
Exacly; like getting runned over by a car and transforming into a pancake or lossing tracking and smashing into something elsw
I love the raw runs, the sounds by the wind is utterly satisfying 🙌🙌
Life seems endless until we collide with consciousness... Thank you for your life and inspiration... This reminds me of the essence of pure joy and passion in life. By now you will probably slide a longboard towards the undiscovered places within an expanding universe. Love to your sharing
May you rest in peace, you are truly a legend!
It’s jaw-droppingly mind blownly impressive as you try to imagine yourself in his shoes literally…and then you realise the level of skill and experience and the “impressive” shifts.
thanks so much! that means a lot :)
I've fallen more times getting out of my bed than this guy has fallen going down a mountain at warp speed.
Absolutely superb! Will continue to inspire us for years to come
This brings me so much comfort, just watching him sail down the down like an ocean drive
fly high josh, we'll miss you!! thanks for introducing me to this amazing sport
the fact that he died in an airplane crash makes the "fly high" part ironic
@@bakelite1488 what happened to him?
@@janicekamalski5938 he died in a (small) plane crash, its literally in the comment
@@bakelite1488oops. Yep. I'm not particularly observant. I did look him up though and discovered that. I tried to find my comment and delete it but couldn't. Hell of a long boarder that kid. Nerves of steel.
@@janicekamalski5938 its all good, sometimes I miss entire sentences when reading myself
Very cool ! The sensations of the board : waow ! Good vibes! Great movie / The decor : don't go straight into it ! Stay the course ! I love the Alps ... so thank you for the Austrian Alps ! RIP talented Josh : ))
This video is surreal, it's so good I'm blown away. I'm very sorry to hear about his passing, may he now be at perfect peace.
Amazing!! Thanks for showing the crashes too, makes the consequences of a bad decision more real and dire
This is exciting, scary and heart stopping at the same time.😳🙏

Nothing but stupid. Thats all.

RIP. And thank you.
Incredible such skills those backside slides at break neck speeds! The front side slides and speed wash off at hair pin!!! Wow! This guy is awesome!
That's some serious board control. I can't even go down a hill without falling over XDDD. THIS IS AMAZING!
thank you so much Neko!
I could say the same lol
@@JoshNeuman
Back to back toe to heel slides are so much trickier than they look, makes It even more impressive.
fucking unreal, lived your life like you chose, not many can say it. hope the hills in the next world are high and fast. roll on Josh.
You will be missed man. RIP 💔. Just watched this video a few days ago, never thought I would be commenting under your video like this 😶
WE MISS YOU SO MUCH DUDE! Rest Peacefully knowing you inspired so many! All love to Joshs Family!
i saw this video once, but man, never thought something bad can happen to this man, he looked invincible. RIP
RIP to the downhill longboarding GOAT, you were a big inspiration to me longboarding and building up my sliding skill. Rest in Paradise and I hope you get an eternal downhill session 🙌🏽
he died?
@@CertifiedNaniMain Yeah he passed away with 3 other people in a plane crash in iceland.
@@clax5612 wow that’s sad asf
Damn! Made me rewind to 3:57 repeatedly just to see how the hell did he land safely and survive the fall at this speed! Still mind-boggling to me. Balls of steel!
He must be wearing a ton of guards
Good thing there were no vehicles at that time
I'm still trying to figure out how not even his pants are torn. Fell off my bike earlier this week and it ripped up two layers of pants and gave me a nasty knee scrape
Luck
The trick is knowing how to bail
Oh damn. I loved your videos man, I'd always show them to all my friends. RIP.
As a former downhill junkie (good old quad skates), thank you for this.
It is awesome, you are skilled, and NO MUSIC !! Yay, just the sound of air speed ,very nice
thanks so much! that means a lot :)
@@JoshNeuman I am happy it does, please know it comes from an experienced downhill junkie, true and sincere compliment to you from me
Let’s take a moment to appreciate how fast the cameraman was running to keep up
edit: I can’t believe I have to say this but it’s a joke
Sounds like he’s riding something at the end but still impressive for keeping up
He drives a car
stupid comment
Seriously…. How was this filmed. I’m flabbergasted.
@Ely Baker fr
The fall edit was super raw, mad respect for how far you have come, keep it up wish you the best
RIP = Resurrect in Paradise.
It was great riding with you Josh.
Only touched the ground after 2min. You'rereally good man. I've been watching you for so long and you inspired me to follow my passion. Keep it up bro
That didn't age well
Rest in peace Josh!🙏🏼
May the roads be endless where you go now🛹❤️
Zum Glück lag noch kein Schnee haha, awesome run!
