I had never seen the invisible hem trick! That’s awesome. Casey from Pattern Scout uses an interfacing trick that I love. Instead of just ironing it to a facing and sergingthe edges, she sews with a 1/8” seam the facing and interfacing right side and non-sticky side together on the three sides that are not going to be sewn to the garment, then turns it out and irons it. It’s a much neater edge on the facing than a serger can do.
Good morning! Great tips😁. Would echo your comment that when supporting the inner corner, a tiny piece can be amazingly helpful. Using on a sheer chiffon, it won't be obvious but will save possible whiskering! Have a fabulous today!
If you want less structure for the invisible seam, you can also use only a narrow strip of very lightweight interfacing and sew it sticky-side out to the wrong side of the seam allowance, then fold up and press.
People always talk about interfacing without mentioning that it shinks and can ruin your garments :( It happened to me and I couldn't understand what I did wrong. How are you suppose to pre-wash the interfacing if it has glue? I put mine in still hot water and the glue particles detached from the fabric.
Back in sewing school, we were taught to steam interfacing before applying, to pre-shrink it (the iron does not touch the interfacing, its kept slightly above during steaming). Shrinking does not happen with every interfacing, but it’s a good idea to test before applying🤗
I love the invisible hemming with interfacing. Thanks
That technique is so useful!🤗

Ah yes, that’s a fantastic technique!🤩👍
Love the idea about using the tiny piece on corners that need to be clipped. Can't wait to try it! I'm always nervous about clipping into corners.
Excellent tips!
Amazing tips thank you

Wonderful idea!🤗
Thank you so much, question sewing hems on knits what stitch is best please.❤❤
I usually use twin needle for hemming knits or straight stitch paired with elastic thread🤗
I didn’t know knit interfacing even existed! 😮
It’s surely not talked about enough, but so useful!🤩
Yes, look for "tricot". I even use it on wovens.
What width of bias tape are you using?
where do you get bias cut fusible interfacing and how wide is it?
Width is about 1cm and I buy it in local sewing supply store that has lots of supplies for sewing businesses🤗
