So, was it alllllll the way up the hill before you hit some garnet? I want to try the trek, but don't know if I'll make it all the way. 😂

It was all the way at the top. I think if you are thinking of trying it out, you might now want to wait until a cooler month like oct. or nov.

Do you have any rockhounding spots you would recommend in Northern California?

I mean this one is pretty good, Garnet hill. There is also nice obsidian at modoc forest, and lots of interesting mercury minerals under bridges in Sonoma County
