saying a minimal state is the best is like saying a mother's care is the best ... true, but neither can last for long. i think eventually our whole theory of private property ownership will be reevaluated and essentially destroyed, but this may be a millennial long process, etc. our conception of ownership is very infantile and craving based ... eventually resources will be on a generic/renewable basis. what people will really be interested is knowledge and experiences and arts/crafts, novel creativity and invention and iterative social relations
Trust me, I'm not fan of Nozick. I think there is something infantile about his philosophy. It seems to me to be entirely a-historical and uncritical with respect to the influence of material circumstances and other social factors.
