The Haldex 4wd aims to synchronise all four wheels and is front wheel drive in 95% of situations, hence the original VW syncro branding. It sounds like it really is not a serious alternative to a true Torsen system, except to improve launching grip or save you in the snow. Camera work was great on this video

Bought my 2008 r32 last year! It’s an awesome car and definitely can keep up with newer cars! I beat a Maserati ghibli and a lot of si owners that don’t know what they’re up against lol

what about when u pop in a gen2 haldex controller to get more power to the rear wheels sooner. Then maybe some forced induction. Defiantly going to be wanting the awd now.

I think it couldve done without the awd, a great example is the Mazda 3 mps, Mazda couldve put the awd from the 6 mps but they didnt, bcs it would mess up the weight distribution and add too much weight.Great video guys!

It tried to assist you with the haldex AWD - with a delay - which it didn't have the power for. Then it switched back to FWD - with a delay - but it had already bogged down. So to make this car better, you'd need to: a) Simplify and add lightness aka ditch the weight and complexity of awd and go 2wd b)add more power and make the Haldex work faster. Which they have done with the R. And even then, driving with grip on tarmac, option a is usually more fun. Loose surfaces = different story obviously - with this R32 as well.
I own the same car. All it needs is the ability to go a tiny bit sideways but without ripping the handbrake on its not possible. Ruins the fun. Does do a mean handbrake skid tho
