I know I’m late but, this Easter egg still scares me, one of the most powerful villains of dc, and the only thing keeping him away from the rest of the Arkham series is a thin glass Tank, scary shit
What scares me the most is that there are two tanks. Two! What other giant creature is out there not sitting in the tank?! At least on an abandoned oil platform in a hidden room starro is safe from being released, but the fact that there is another tank could imply that maybe there was another, maybe thats how they know that its mind controlling, maybe the one from the poster never made it to the tank! Also, joker saved the entire world by killing the man and his daughter, and not letting him open this attraction to the public, surely this would have ended horrible
NEON SQUID " I understand you're probably under a lot of stress ma'am, but I'd rather not spend the rest of this winter TRAPPED IN THIS FUCKING TUBE!!"
i really hope they do this as an ongoing theme. a strong reference to a villain never portrayed in the arkham verse for each dlc. especially these creepy, eerie ones. a giant alien starfish who could control your mind that stares at you ominously through glass? something about this situation is very pleasing. maybe we'll get to see maxie zeus sometime, or the court of the owls. or maybe another lesser-known justice league villain, not just in the world of batman.
Imagine how awesome it would've been though if this was more than just the most unnerving easter egg from this game; but a possible reference for the future villain of a new Arkham game.
The contest winner getting his face in Arkham Asylum, Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum, Killer Croc jump-scare in Arkham Asylum, Killer Croc jump-scare in Arkham City, Shark in Arkham City, Man-Bat jump-scare in Arkham Knight, Scarecrow in Arkham Knight. No! Starro in that jar has all of them beat. The fact that there is no jump-scare at all, he’s just chilling in that jar, along with the eye that follows your every movement without blinking, and the hissing he does when you step closer. This is probably the single scariest thing in the Arkham series.
It's scary to think that what Batman faces is child's play. After struggling to beat humans, you realize a cosmic threat from space is just in this little canister.
What's terrifying is that there's something quite like it in real life. I don't know if it's gone. It obviously has no powers or isn't alive but it's an abandoned dead shark left in a tank. Still in tact from a gel it's coated in. In darkness and a green light just to see the shape of it in a abandoned sea park.
The amusement park was built by a guy who had a daughter suffering from cancer, when she died, he shut the place down and disappeared, so Starro was imprisoned in that tank and I'm just curious what would happen if Joker or Harley found him in that room.
It's creepy how this implies the owner of the carnival trapped Starro and possibly forced him to produce spores which he would then apply to people in order to pass them off as "Starfish Freaks".
That’s what I love about the Arkham series. It’s even creepier that they used starro for shows at the carnival without knowing the true power it posses
It’s crazy how something so powerful as Starro the Conqueror remains captive on earth for however long the Batman Arkham Knight game will remain in file and use, and how it’s existence will forever remain unexplored in the universe. It’s eerie how it just sits there, despite its phenomenal power. It’s eerie how it’s larger than the normal starfish, it would look quite unusual to someone who’s never known about Starro until now. Its creepy, the noise that’s made when you approach the entity. Is the sound coming from pipes or tank? Or is it muffled screams from Starro? Its unsettling how the eye never moves, maybe that could be a lazy part on the game creator’s end, or an effect enhancer to make it appear as if it’s staring at you. Its chilling to think about how long the things been sitting in that water, and how the water likely has never been changed, so it’s been lurking and wallowing in filthy liquid for who knows how long. It’s unsatisfying how the creature won’t ever face off against Batman, because it’s too powerful for a Batman game, it’s release from captivity would be the end of this Batman. Either way, I wish this Easter egg was more interact-able with. Starro will wait forever in that murky containment tube, for freedom.
starro blinked when she first entered the room. and if you look closely you can see his eye follow her as she moves and zooms in on him, but its hard to tell with the glare. you can also hear him breathe or sigh at 2:02. creepy stuff.
gotta say it´s very creepy, actually, by the silhouette and the staring-at-your-soul eye; though it would be really terrifying that, when you finish the story and go to that room again, Starro were not there and were loose in the park or the world.
Alonzo Tompkins My theory as to why he's smaller than he usually is in the comics is that this DLC is supposed to predate Arkham Asylum, and so therefore the Starro we see here is young. Fast forward to Arkham Knight days, it most likely has grown and could set up as a first villain for a Rocksteady Justice League game.
When I found him (completely by accident) that first thing that came to mind was that Batman Beyond episode when Superman was being control by this thing. Honestly, I have to admit, this was the best thing about this DLC though...atleast for me anyway.
You don't wanna know, I'm still trying to comprehend the new Pokemon movie, "Detective Pikachu" like "WHY DO THEY HAVE DEADPOOL/HAL JORDAN AS PIKACHU?!"😵
@@CBright7831 my comment was a year ago, when *Detective Pikachu* got released in theaters, I was still trying to wrap my head around the title character being voiced by Ryan Reynolds, who DC fans know as the Green Lantern, one of the heroes that fought Starro before and who Marvel fans know as Hannibal King and Deadpool
This thing is very creepy. And to me, the scariest thing about him is he not only has a small eye looking at you, but if you managed to put the camera behind him, you would see a much larger eye on his back, which you get a glimpse of in this video.
It would be a bit gruesome but they should have a joker henchman that failed joker in the other tank with a mini starro on his face and they are running tests on him
The idea of one man being left with one of Starro’s spores still stuck to his face, chained up and used for a sideshow in a Gotham City amusement park, is such an interesting and creepy bit of world-building!
Now this is terrifying. You don't even need to know what Starro is to be unsettled by this;
- The high pitched noise that grows stronger as you get closer (most likely something psychic).
- The silhouette as you enter the room.
- The slight glow as you get closer.

I know I’m late but, this Easter egg still scares me, one of the most powerful villains of dc, and the only thing keeping him away from the rest of the Arkham series is a thin glass
Tank, scary shit
I shouldn't be scared by starfish,right??
But hell this thing is really freaking scary.
Couldn't he just keep making spores until the glass breaks?
Maybe he's making you think he is still captive...
@@neckroteddy you mean to say he's toying with us psychologically?
I wonder what starro is thinking right know
Tentacle rape?
+The Real Bucky yes.
1. Get the hell out of this tube.
2 take over the world bitchs.
@@nerodius58 "look out Starfire of Tamaran, I'm coming for you!!!" A staple for who the ultimate villain would be for the 6th season of Teen Titans
I stumbled on this last night and had no clue what it was. Thank you for this.
And now he's in a live action movie.
The fact one of the most powerful villains in the justice league is just chilling behind some glass is really unnerving.
Imagine how awesome it would've been though if this was more than just the most unnerving easter egg from this game; but a possible reference for the future villain of a new Arkham game.
something about this just has a super creepy vibe to me
I bet he was happy, floating, staring at the stars
*"I was happy, floating, staring at the stars"*
Damn, that thing is creepy as hell. Look at it, it follows where ever you go (1:54 - 2:13)
The scary part? There are two tanks implying two starro creatures. One of them is empty.
Possibly could appear in new Rocksteady game
one got out probably got lucky made one idiot he's puppet while this ones just waiting to attach itself to a guillable moron
This has to be the best Easter egg in any superhero game instead of mentioning the character it actually showed it
The amusement park was built by a guy who had a daughter suffering from cancer, when she died, he shut the place down and disappeared, so Starro was imprisoned in that tank and I'm just curious what would happen if Joker or Harley found him in that room.
They'll be sorry
@@enderethan144 not what I meant, I mean they'd be under Starro's control
after seeing what they did with starro in the suicide squad, im super impressed on how accurate they got it
The music creeped me out :D
I always thought starro was a goofy character but, this video makes him seem more terrifiying
This is creepy I had a nightmare about it one night
Wait til you see it go up against Starfire in the 6th season of Teen Titans
It's creepy how this implies the owner of the carnival trapped Starro and possibly forced him to produce spores which he would then apply to people in order to pass them off as "Starfish Freaks".
Despite looking quite goofy in the comics this version of starro seems a bit... unsettling, imagine being in the presence of this thing in real life.
Seeing Starro alive in a tank makes me wanna poke that eye so bad...!
same
Recommended right after I finished the movie
I was happy floating staring at the stars
gotta say it´s very creepy, actually, by the silhouette and the staring-at-your-soul eye; though it would be really terrifying that, when you finish the story and go to that room again, Starro were not there and were loose in the park or the world.
Oh... a villain that took the entire Justice League to stop.
WHY THE FUCK IS STARRO IN ARKHAM?! Some villain would let him loose.
Looks like that Starfish from persona. Low key got scared thinking it was going to move when you get close enough
When I found him (completely by accident) that first thing that came to mind was that Batman Beyond episode when Superman was being control by this thing. Honestly, I have to admit, this was the best thing about this DLC though...atleast for me anyway.
Just popped up when the suicide squad movie came out lol
what does Starro look like in detective mode?
hughgo2 that’s a good question
AquaFish he looks detailed and you can see the suction cups on him better.
You don't wanna know, I'm still trying to comprehend the new Pokemon movie, "Detective Pikachu" like "WHY DO THEY HAVE DEADPOOL/HAL JORDAN AS PIKACHU?!"😵
@@damianprock1650 - What an odd and random way to try to segue the conversation.
It’s cool how the high pitched sound gets louder the closer you get to Starro
I love lore Easter eggs like this, it makes me imagine a dc super fan stumbling upon this and losing their minds about how cool it is
We all know why we are here after 6 years…….
Actually I have no idea why I’m here after 6 years
Well that's unsettling
He'll be more unsettling when it comes to the 6th season of Teen Titans
Even though I already knew who Starro was, that didn’t make this encounter any less terrifying.
This thing is very creepy. And to me, the scariest thing about him is he not only has a small eye looking at you, but if you managed to put the camera behind him, you would see a much larger eye on his back, which you get a glimpse of in this video.
It would be cool if there was a secret room revealing the plans to take over Arkham Asylum, like in the game
Now think about this: their are two tanks, only one Starro, that means probably there are 2 Starros and one got out, fuck that shit
This is the funniest comment I've seen all day
3:31 that looks very similar to pre-chemicals joker in the killing joke.
Don’t forget there was a Starro that was adopted by Batman and became a Robin… I’m not making this up
The scariest thing in the entire Arkham franchise
Not scarier than what they did to it
I swear to god, that eye follows you when you walk around the room.
IKR
Don’t swear TO GOD it’s a sin. Repent
I played resident evil 2 remake and 100% i been scared there several time but ur kind of prepared here i was so unprepared for it that i felt chills.
I dont know why but knowing what he can do and just seeing him there is intimidating
Anyone else here after The Suicide Squad?
Hmmm, what if starro is controlling Superman in the upcoming suicide squad game. That would make sense.
No, it will be brainiac
Its not
No, but in my opinion, it should've been.
