So it’s gotten to the point where I just have to say this. I’m coming back to this MV after watching BTS’s music bank performance. I didn’t want to post it there because of the hate this might receive from fans of other groups. But BTS just has IT. That unknown, unquantifiable X factor that just pulls people in. I’ve been a casual kpop fan for almost a decade, mostly for the choreography, and no group so far has managed to get me to go past their title track or a couple of songs and listen to the whole album. I’ve gone over a year before without watching any kpop and then gone back to see what I’ve missed. I’m glad I came across BTS because they are now one of my favorite artists of all time. I’ve seen so many comments on youtube and other sites saying that they don’t understand what exactly makes BTS so special. They’ll talk about their weak vocals, sloppy transitions in their past songs etc. The truth is that there is no technical explanation. There are better kpop vocalists out there. There are other idols who are just as passionate about music. There are groups that as a whole can pull off more difficult dance moves. But at the end of the day the only thing that matters is: are you making your audience feel something? I don’t know how they do it, but BTS brings it every time. It’s like they live for the stage. I show my mom kpop MVs once in a while (she’s a huge Michael Jackson fan so she also enjoys the dancing). After I showed her Dope, she said that’s the first time she’s felt something from a kpop music video. So whether they break records or not, whether they are hated on more or not, BTS just has it. I see so many parallels between them and my other favorite artist Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin was also hated by their home country and became more popular abroad first. But eventually they went on to become the biggest rock band of the 70s. I feel the same kind of passion from BTS’s stage that I feel when watching Zeppelin. I’m glad that BTS is now finding so much success. I’m interested not only in what they are doing now, but what they’ll be doing in 5 years, 10, and even 15. Sometimes it just takes a little fate (and a lot of hard work) for a group like this to exist. (Also I just want to make it clear that I'm not trying to bring any other artists down. I also enjoy watching a lot of other music videos and performances.)

Yamishtar I think it has something about how well both groups work together as a group. Jimmy Page always talked about that; he referred to it as an alchemical element. And how their first time practicing together they just knew after one song that it was going to work out. (haha I've read so many zeppelin bios) There's also the energy exchange between the artist and audience. You can feel it even if you're just watching it on video. It's so cool to be a part of this now while it's actually happening though. One day I'll be reading a BTS biography and thinking "Oh yeah I stayed up to watch a fancam of that concert"
This is actually how I transformed into an Army. I was a normal kpop fan a few years ago, only sticking to the popular songs and not really getting into any groups. I stumbled upon BTS on the Finebro's channel and got sucked in to kpop again, they just have this charisma that captivates the audience and makes them more curious. Now I am in love with the grumpy mochi named Suga and never leaving BTS 💓💓

ARMYs do you want to know a secret I haven't told anyone? Every morning I write '너무 멀어지진 마 tomorrow' ('don't get too far away tomorrow' - lyrics from Tomorrow) on my wrist, and every day it stops me from self-harming because I have something beautiful on me that I don't want to spoil. I won't even bruise myself. I started doing it after I took an overdose a few weeks ago and now it feels like BTS are keeping me safe. Yoongi is my UB and his words remind me to keep hanging on, however hard it is, because they'll always be a tomorrow.

I agree, BigHit is one of the best entertainment companies out there if not the best! As you said, they allowed BTS to be themselves, let them make their own music they even encourage them. Release Mixtapes, shooting multiple MVs and get NOTHING in return. If someone is sick or injured they cancel his schedule for days until he recover. Even the smallest things like they styled their hair as they want and give them a vacation for days to rest or visit their families.

Jin can even dare call their CEO Bang PD during Vlive, just coz fans told him to. That's a testament that they are all family instead of just business relationship.

Just wanted to share a story. My mom used to hate on me every time I play a BTS song.. she'd always be annoyed and kept asking me why the hell I'm obsessed with our boys. Then one day, she was nagging me again and I just had it. I SAT HER DOWN AND I MADE HER WATCH SOME MUSIC VIDEOS. Needless to say, she was impressed. Flower Girl Can't really blame them, though. I mean, that's the first thing you notice about a person, right? But I do think that the fangirls in this fandom are not so badly off... it's impossible NOT to appreciate their music when it's self-produced/composed and when there is so much depth to their lyrics, unlike many other groups' songs. BTS' music is what makes them so special, after all.

With the second view i was amazed by their choreo and only then noticed their attractivness ( ok, mostly Namjoon's look ). When our oppas receive as much as a scratch we start crying, when our oppas can't tell us about their life we think that their life must be so stressful, they don't want to worry us about it. But when comes to thinking that way about your fellow army, we start assuming it's bullshit that they can't spare their time??? But when I came to learn about how Bangtan rose from nothing to everything, it suddenly ignited this spark in me. I'll do it without their help, I'll do it myself. Hard work and passion is enough. I feel like Bangtan gave me life and (J) hope. I'm grateful to them everyday. I want to make them proud. I can't spend money on them. Or vote everyday, or stream every day. I know this is so ambitious of me but is it possible for us to fill the whole arena??? 2025 is the Year of BTS. Let's work together to give them their first 1B MV for a song from 2016.
So it’s gotten to the point where I just have to say this. I’m coming back to this MV after watching BTS’s music bank performance. I didn’t want to post it there because of the hate this might receive from fans of other groups.
But BTS just has IT. That unknown, unquantifiable X factor that just pulls people in. I’ve been a casual kpop fan for almost a decade, mostly for the choreography, and no group so far has managed to get me to go past their title track or a couple of songs and listen to the whole album. I’ve gone over a year before without watching any kpop and then gone back to see what I’ve missed. I’m glad I came across BTS because they are now one of my favorite artists of all time.
I’ve seen so many comments on youtube and other sites saying that they don’t understand what exactly makes BTS so special. They’ll talk about their weak vocals, sloppy transitions in their past songs etc. The truth is that there is no technical explanation. There are better kpop vocalists out there. There are other idols who are just as passionate about music. There are groups that as a whole can pull off more difficult dance moves. But at the end of the day the only thing that matters is: are you making your audience feel something? I don’t know how they do it, but BTS brings it every time. It’s like they live for the stage. I show my mom kpop MVs once in a while (she’s a huge Michael Jackson fan so she also enjoys the dancing). After I showed her Dope, she said that’s the first time she’s felt something from a kpop music video.
So whether they break records or not, whether they are hated on more or not, BTS just has it. I see so many parallels between them and my other favorite artist Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin was also hated by their home country and became more popular abroad first. But eventually they went on to become the biggest rock band of the 70s. I feel the same kind of passion from BTS’s stage that I feel when watching Zeppelin. I’m glad that BTS is now finding so much success. I’m interested not only in what they are doing now, but what they’ll be doing in 5 years, 10, and even 15. Sometimes it just takes a little fate (and a lot of hard work) for a group like this to exist.
(Also I just want to make it clear that I'm not trying to bring any other artists down. I also enjoy watching a lot of other music videos and performances.)

Yamishtar I think it has something about how well both groups work together as a group. Jimmy Page always talked about that; he referred to it as an alchemical element. And how their first time practicing together they just knew after one song that it was going to work out. (haha I've read so many zeppelin bios) There's also the energy exchange between the artist and audience. You can feel it even if you're just watching it on video. It's so cool to be a part of this now while it's actually happening though. One day I'll be reading a BTS biography and thinking "Oh yeah I stayed up to watch a fancam of that concert"
This is actually how I transformed into an Army. I was a normal kpop fan a few years ago, only sticking to the popular songs and not really getting into any groups. I stumbled upon BTS on the Finebro's channel and got sucked in to kpop again, they just have this charisma that captivates the audience and makes them more curious. Now I am in love with the grumpy mochi named Suga and never leaving BTS 💓💓

Release Mixtapes, shooting multiple MVs and get NOTHING in return. If someone is sick or injured they cancel his schedule for days until he recover. Even the smallest things like they styled their hair as they want and give them a vacation for days to rest or visit their families.

Do you expect her to spare her free time every day for labouring behind, what music industry idols? Not just sickness, it's daily work, some of you might have kids, some of you may be preparing for some important exams, some of you are enjoying with your family, some of you are casually spending time on internet listening to different kinds of songs, giving time to your friends, etc, whatever it may be, we should understand it's your life.

But when comes to thinking that way about your fellow army, we start assuming it's bullshit that they can't spare their time??? Because we're not good looking celebs, people become indifferent to us??? Please respect your fellow army. You know nothing about their lives, even if they want to waste time, let them. Like I said, just sincerely loving them is enough. Just know why you love them. I love them because I lost all hope because I am receiving no support from friends or family regarding my decisions about my future. My career has been planned out by my parents. And it's tough because I want to become a singer, with lack of support I might end up losing everything. But when I came to learn about how Bangtan rose from nothing to everything, it suddenly ignited this spark in me. I'll do it without their help, I'll do it myself. Hard work and passion is enough. I feel like Bangtan gave me life and (J) hope. I'm grateful to them everyday. I want to make them proud. I can't spend money on them. Or vote everyday, or stream every day. But i want to work so hard that people notice me and get inspired. Then I'll tell them I'm here because of BTS. That's how I want to show them my love.

BTS effortlessly sold 38k seats accumulated for two days in this recent global fanmeeting, i repeat, FANMEETING! The tickes were sold within 15 minutes!

Philippine Arena is the largest indoor arena in the world. It can accomodate 55-60k people. Super junior, SNSD, RV and BTOB were the first foreigners to ever perform in this arena (The event was similar to KCON). However, these 4 groups just gathered a total of 20k people. And Katy Perry was the first solo artist and first american artist( no other artist followed) to perform in the arena, garnering 30k people.
Yo, fellow PH ARMYs! I know this is so ambitious of me but is it possible for us to fill the whole arena??? CAN WE GAVE BTS A RECORD FOR THE FIRST EVER BAND GROUP & KPOP GROUP (solo not kcon or smthing) TO HELD A CONCERT THERE AND BE THE FIRST EVER FOREIGNER TO GATHER 55k AUDIENCES? (this can be put to Guiness Book of World Records if ever, i guess)
I know PH ARMYs have grown a lot now, maybe we are as many as Brazilian ARMYs or more than that. Plus, other ARMYs from neighboring countries can come to the concert too. Bcos if this is the case, an 18k arena is not enough for us. And we have to tell Bighit ahead of time to consider this Arena as one of the Wings Tour venue.
We have already seen how ARMY bombs shone beautifully in Gocheok Skydome. Now imagine it again in a bigger arena and with more Army bombs, it will be beyond beautiful right?
Okay, maybe it will just remain as a dream....for now. But Bangtan thought us that dreams could be achieved by great teamwork and hardwork. Maybe this isn't yet the time to fulfill the dream but I hope it will come true in the near future!
