    Thank you for this! I am only 34 years young, however this is My Granny's fav movie so I've been hearing these sounds since she carried my mother! Yesss I even dyed my hair in high school because of Brenda. I begged my mother and told her it was only because of Brenda, and that year I would be turning 17 years young. Cooley High Will always be that movie! Blessings to everyone here 🧡

    His name is Sherman Smith, and as far as I'm concerned, he was the real star of "Cooley High."

  • @lwmson
    @lwmson 6 років тому +14

    The truth of the matter is that most of the "actors" in Cooley High weren't professional actors at all. The director stressed realism so much that he wanted actual characters to play the parts. Turman, Morris and Jacobs were the only real actors.

    • @melvinpruitt3907
      @melvinpruitt3907 2 роки тому +1

      That's not true...Steven Williams was as well as Robert Townsend.

    • @lwmson
      @lwmson 2 роки тому

      @@melvinpruitt3907 IDK about Steven Williams, but Townsend's role was so small in that movie that he wasn't even credited for that role, and he only had one small line. If you look at the profile of this movie on IMDb, you'll note that most of the "actors" in this movie only have this film on their resume. Even Garret Morris was cast for this role largely because he had been a NYC public high school teacher before he took up acting.

    We have two class of men crimefest and wanna be right all the time...speaking from experience l dated both class of men, the true to life and protect men are the ones that were crimefest and changed...but knew how to think to get around the system, without getting into any trouble they're understanding with compassion...but stayed on point, the wanna be right men (some, not all) l dated were somewhat terrible and l had to put them in their place for trying to disrespect men...a man that has two more dollars then you or the average man in the street, were mean and nasty...try to degrade you in front of people, even try to hit you but in my case l hit back and l will grab the heaviest object to knock you out...they want to detail your whereabouts, that was because that individual was insecure and never had friends...since l stayed busy and was popular back in my day, they were very insecure and when you ever date a man like that you've to walk away...because if you allow a man that claim they love you so much, it should never be drama and being in combat mode is not safe or a healthy to no fun relationship...so grateful for Stone to be real about his lifestyle and there is a better way in life!!!
