Just finishing watching your Pharmacy routine and find myself a bit sentimental. My Mum passed when I was 22; 53 yrs ago. Relationship with her was far from ideal, though I've come to realize how amazing she was, apart from that. I have never had just a girlie share time over skin care or clothes. (Mother was not girlie, and my sister and I were totally on our own to figure that stuff out.) So, you must realize how much I enjoyed this skin care time with you, because you are REAL. No putting on aires, just as if I were sharing this time with only you. It means so very much that I not only have found my way back to the inner French woman I have always been, but lost my way over the years. Thank you for being true to yourself and sharing so authentically. Blessings to you.

yes! I was amazed when in went into a pharmacy in the French alps. It was so beautiful, everything was perfect, all quality items and nothing that should not be there. Here in Australia pharmacies have degenerated into awful gift shops, full of cheap and nasty irrelevant things like toys and chocolates and fad quack treatments because there are too many pharmacies and they have to be competitive.

I am in love with French pharmacy products. I have been wearing L’Oreal for years but once my current treatments are gone I’m going with L’Occitane.
Once I wash my face in the morning I spray Caudalie, followed by Nuxe mixed in my hand with my moisturizer and my sunblock lotion. Along the day I spray either Avene or Uriage thermal water. It’s incredibly refreshing and they really help soothing my face better than an aftershave.
We don’t have in Costa Rica Caudalie or Nuxe, so I order them online. But when I go to France the first thing I do is run to the pharmacy and buy them. I love when the salesperson offers me advice!
Caudalie Eau de Raisin is full of antioxidants and is so light and moisturizing. When I travel I always carry a small bottle of Elixir de beaute because my face gets very dry on the plane, plus if your neighbor doesn’t smell very nice it helps refreshing the air around you!😹
Last October my bag was full of products from the pharmacie and I was very happy. Whatever you spend to take care of yourself and cheer you up, is well spent money, specially if you got French products, they are the best!
    Beautiful and lovely video Maire-Anne!

Two French skin care products I use are the Beauty Elixir by Caudalie and Immortelle Divine Cream by L'Occitane. The cream especially is a miracle worker. I usually don't believe that expensive skin care products are worth it, but this one surely is. Thank you for promoting "the French way"!! Love your channel!

I have been using the Nuxe in a combo with body cream and St Tropex tanner for my body and it works very well. The sparkling affect helps hid the mottling of my skin to make it look more even. I love the smell. It helps then tanner with the body cream not to be too dark but gives me a bit of color since i do not get a real sun tan anymore.

How are CLARINS products viewed by French women? I started using their Lift Minceur gel cream for skin firming and as a light scented, cool, anti-bloating remedy. I find it particularly nice in the hot summer of Texas and my mini hot flashes lol. CLARINS is quite pricey in the US and Japan, where I was introduced to their products in my 20's. But I saw that they were very reasonable in Paris when I visited in '99.

Hi... I have a question. I've never been much of a lipstick person. I don't like the shape of my lips and I rarely wear lipstick because I don't want to bring attention to my lips--honestly I'd never wear a RED shade, but maybe a "Wine" or other more subdued shade. I'd like to rethink wearing lipstick more often, as I can see that it is part of finishing touch--a little detail. I certainly have found shades that I feel complement my completion, hair color, and are not overwhelming (to me). But what tricks, tips are there? I'd like to make peace with my lips and make them my friend. :)

I also love the fact that many of these brands are cheaper than the big premium brands but are so much better for your skin.

Avène is wonderful. I love their tinted 50 spf sunscreen, use it every summer, and their facepowders too, the water spray is great but Uriage doesn't dry out the skin at all you can leave it to dry on your face. Caudalie has such great products, LOVE their hand cream and lip balm and their grape water spray is great ! I haven't tried their other creams yet but I might ! going back shopping this week in France !

Oh... the European drugstores : )
So different from what we find here in the US, although they now carry a lot more specialty products than they used to.
My very favorite brand of French skincare is Vichy! And my second favorite is La Roche-Posay.

We visit Northern France every year just before Christmas and have done so for quite a few years. I know where I will be heading when we visit this year. The Pharmacy. Thank you for this video and all the tips and tricks. I look forward to trying new products. Take care Marie Ann

La Roche-Posay is available in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart (I think it's a French pharmacy brand -- many of their products are made in France).
I've been using this brand's soap, moisturizer, & sunscreen religiously since I was 8 & my skin looks so glowy & smooth! I only wear lipstick & curl my lashes, since I despise foundation. I also get my eyebrows threaded regularly, which rounds out my look.
