Thanks. Great job. Repin is really a sort of painter- illustrator of what was going on in his country...without a political bias. It´s amazing how he mixes techniques in his work. He seems to be them most complete painter of the Itinerants even if he focus on human subjects and leaves landscapes aside.
Music: 1- ''Dusha Moia Pregreshnaya'' . '' My sinful Soul!'. Sirin Ensemble. 2- Henry Purcell. March from music on the death of Queen Mary 3- Henry Purcell. ''Let Me Weep!'' ( from ''The Fairy Queen'')
I heard 'Dusha Moia''. Great melody. You enjoy it best without understanding the religious lyrics, because they speak of sin, sorrow, offending God, punishment, etc. Just like in Mozart´s Requiem...
You have stopped commenting Repin´s work. It´s understandable after 10 videos and little interest from the average viewer. But, have you considered going on commenting other painters or issues on art history in general?
Ok. I understand. I´ve seen all those channels with music and pictures, without even titles or date...They are all monetized. However, youtube has began to be harder on them: demanding them to maintain a a greater audience if they still want to get money. It was obvious: many channels like those began to sprout as mushrooms, and searching for analyzed art became like moving through a jungle full with undergrowth...it was discouraging avoiding those zombie channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers...most of them dead and always the same little group praising them. They began to collaborate with each other, so the jungle began to be thiker...like looking for something valuable in a room packed with junk. Good luck
Here´s an example of hypocrisy: The deeply spiritual song "My sinful soul" is protected by copyright. That sweet voice warning us about the sins of our souls...is controlled by economic interests: you want to listen to it? You want to spread its message? Well, then you have to pay. The same with the others songs by Purcell, dead for half a century and still with a legacy tied by music companies. So much for spiritual values.
Thanks. Great job.

@@pedroazpeitia4841 That´s the message present in all these videos on Repin.
That´s the greatest advantage of Repin's work.
