This is so awesome, the wisdom he has that so many people overlook.. like remembering to have fun! I've been in the back of a studio session a few times seeing someone laying down a track, and they're getting angry at the takes or frustrated with playing a part instead of just enjoying it.. it's often because they've felt like they're "on the clock" and the producer isn't focussed on the performance they've been button pressing! I think what sets the greats like Gordon apart is them knowing that nothing is more important than the performance.. (while still having the technical stuff all sorted) Also, this interview conversation is so good.. the connection you guys clearly have is shining through the screen!

Lovely words brother, so appreciated. It's something that is so often forgotten in arts - that simple point - that it is about the feeling. I enjoy that in your videos - how the feeling comes across, and your capacity to be conversational and to feel like you're "just there". Working with Gordon was a real privilege, and also because he has such an open and loose approach to gear - he's always trying stuff, and kind of following the process. I'm in a busy work period, but hoping to get back to my creative cave and start writing/working on the next song. And hopefully a video too! Crazy how we have to just keep alive and keep fighting for those things we love! Keep in there man, I really recommend Stenbeck's "Journal of a Novel" if you're looking for a new book on creativity - about 120 pages and so much gold in there!

❤thank you both for all the inspiration and wisdom shared on this lovely podcast. I especially love the underlying awareness of the existential stuff that you shared . One example is how you talked about the idea of getting/being popular and “touching numbers” and “getting people’s attention”. I always wonder about that energy and find it quite mystical. Be well.
    Best ~

Hey pal, thank you so much for this lovely reflection - and sorry for the late response, I'm catching up here! Yes, I found Gordon's perspectives so helpful, especially with how he thinks about social media and life path. So many gems in there. How are things with you? Hope all well and you're full of inspiration. Here, things are well. I am chipping away at the album and had a day of wild rock n roll guitars yesterday on a new song called "The Price of the Light". It seems to have have got pretty wild but I'm really happy with how its sounding. Best always from Berlin! Jim

I would really recommend his biography "The World Is Going to Love this" - its such a great read and he's so transparent about his life, struggles - and overcoming. A wonderful, inspiring man. Thank you for dropping in and supporting, Jim
