CM Catches Up With... Poor Young Things

Toronto's Poor Young Things are dropping their new EP, ‘Force of Nature,’ via Noisemaker/Pheromone on Oct. 9th. Produced by Gus Van Go and Werner F, it delivers euphoric guitar pop from this on-the-rise quintet. Canadian Musician’s Mike Raine caught up with the band at the Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto to discuss the writing and recording of the album, their history as a band starting in Thunder Bay, Ont., how they have evolved, and even what they would called a theme song for the 2015 federal election.
But before the interview, Poor Young Things gives a special acoustic performance of the leadoff single from the new EP called “Like an Animal.”
