Awesome breakdowns. Why do you emphasise arms down on this and other tutorials? Is it so that the focus is on correct movement of feet/hips/shoulder? Also seen you recommend using a stick to maintain form
Michael Johannesen yeah that’s right. A lot of beginners can neglect proper shoulder and hip rotation. By dropping the arms, the concentration is on the hips and shoulders. Over exaggeration of the movement and stretching the muscles will improve technique. Muscle memory will kick in and you’ll be using these body parts without thinking. The stick is very beneficial has it holds the form for you in the beginning stages. Some of my advanced fighters will still use it to perfect their technique. Good tool!
Would bending at the waist not leave you unbalanced when should you slip with your torso and when should you slip with your full body (pivoting food and transferring bodyweight) excellent breakdown as well just not sure when is the right time to use which variation

Man your stance too far apart, you’d get kick down there if you go against kickboxer for sure!
