While passing all the speed connectivity test my Desktop specialist certification exam was started, however while giving my exam,
the virtual network got disconnected multiple times (for around 30 mins ), due to which I was not able to give my exam properly.
So is there any possibility of rescheduling the same exam?
And if I'll apply again for the same exam what's the guarantee that the same will not happen?

In one sentence, DS is for complete beginners and CA for the people who have prior experience with Tableau. Both of them are valuable but CA is definitely more serious.
Yes, you can directly jump to CA. ( I suggest having at least 2 years of serious working experience with Tableau )
I don't know your background and experience but in general, it is better to follow the order. Take the DS first and then CA.
Remember the fact that exams are online exams so it is a different experience. That's why it can be better to start with the easy one (DS exam)
After getting an exam experience you can go for CA.

Hello Rakesh, you don't need to have tableau on your local machine because you will connect to the virtual environment and tableau desktop will be available in that virtual environment

Hello David, you need chrome to connect to the virtual environment. In the virtual environment, you will use firefox to navigate questions and the tableau desktop to answer questions.

Could be explain, why it was particularly A) Continuous Measure and not C) Discrete Measure.

what are the chances of passing the exam, without prior knowledge (never touched Tableau before), but going through your Desktop Specialist course?
Hey mate,
Normally my DS course is enough if you have some experience in data analytics.
But I can't give you an exact number. I don't know your experience, background, logic set, etc.
You can follow this procedure:
1. Take the DS course and watch all the lectures. (2 times)
2. Solve the sample exam 1.
2.1 If you score greater than 70% take the sample exam 2 and try to reach 80%.
2.2 If you score less than 70% watch all the lectures again before taking the sample exam 2 and try to reach 85%
3. If 2.1 and 2.2 do not work. Take the CA course, watch all the related lectures and practice the exam materials.
You can't fail in the DS exam if you are able to score 70 % in CA sample exams.

I just sat this exam and unfortunately wasn't successful. I scored points on all sections except the first section where I scored 0.
This section was all about connecting data and and preparing it.. I can't understand what I could have done wrong here to get zero points..

There can be several reasons:
1 Theory questions: blending, cross db join union etc.
2 Hands on questions: if you connect to correct data but miss to add joins.

although I passed, I had a very bad experience doing the exam.... The virtual machine is so slow and clunky.... The screen is so small I was having problem clicking some menu properly. It was real bad, I thought I'm going to run out of time and not pass.....
Hey mate, the virtual environment is not the best for sure. Next time (if you go for CA) you should take the exam with better internet connection.
