Yeah. Hard to picture that whole new infield and turns packed into the pockmarked old bank track. What's a few more bucks at this point? At the rate they've been spending money the past couple years, and their subscriber count...send it!
CJ Johnson I think he’s trying to do what is interesting to his crowd first (burnouts, drifting, etc) first and then move on to the circle track. Not saying there isn’t a huge crowd of his viewers who like circle track stuff but content wise it’s a much greater return of investment to do the skid pad and corners first and eventually move to the whole track. Who else thinks this place would be great for FD or a PROAM feeder series? Big bank, tight technical infield, back to the opposite bank!
Pile the extra material you’re pulling out of the infield in a corner of one of the fields for later use. MX track, UTV track, or whatever your brilliant motorsports oriented mind comes up with. You have the land for it!

The boys at the quarry used to give me a small piece of the explosive they used so I could chew on it to get rid of a headache if I had one, it worked.

Cleet, you need a real land surveyor to come in and set finish grade stakes for all the asphalt work. I’m a licensed land surveyor that works for the Deprtment of Transportation in cali and I deal with contractors who “survey”, but really they’re just grade setters. Their work is shotty at best. The automatic machine guidance does work well but they need real data to go off of to calibrate their GPS systems. Finish grade stakes every 75’ for the asphalt would suffice. Also depending on how much water you take on regarding your drainage system, make sure you have adequate piping for the drains. The drain pipes should be on a grade with atleast a half tenth of fall every 100’ or so. If not you could end up with a serious pond in the center field. All things to consider while construction is underway. Hell, if you do end up with a pond during the rain maybe the Tracker could make it through, just a thought 🤪 🤷🏻♂️ The track is coming along nicely, keep it up we are all enjoying it.
That poor geo tracker xD I think the wheels are so big and floaty they make it want to go right side down. Get some small tires on there, like tractor tires for getting through the silt on the bottom. Maybe also add a weight plate to the bottom of the vehicle.

Yeah. Hard to picture that whole new infield and turns packed into the pockmarked old bank track. What's a few more bucks at this point? At the rate they've been spending money the past couple years, and their subscriber count...send it!
Destruction derby 2 style
CJ Johnson I think he’s trying to do what is interesting to his crowd first (burnouts, drifting, etc) first and then move on to the circle track. Not saying there isn’t a huge crowd of his viewers who like circle track stuff but content wise it’s a much greater return of investment to do the skid pad and corners first and eventually move to the whole track. Who else thinks this place would be great for FD or a PROAM feeder series? Big bank, tight technical infield, back to the opposite bank!
They might as well... if they dont it's like putting on fresh boxers before you wipe your ass
@@joeybaldarelli6620 ROFL!!! 🤣🤣
"And just like that, the biggest pothole in the track is no more."
No sir, the biggest pothole is now WAY bigger!!
Pile the extra material you’re pulling out of the infield in a corner of one of the fields for later use. MX track, UTV track, or whatever your brilliant motorsports oriented mind comes up with. You have the land for it!
He did say he was gona load it out for other uses later. "Maybe make a jump outof it"
Hell yeah brother
10:36 There's just something about a foggy racetrack that appeals to me... Anyone else?
Natural Progression something made out of a bad ass movie!
I was thinking the same thing... Something special about it.
It's funny because I'm from this area in Florida so I know exactly which day that was filmed. Last week. One particular day was extremely foggy.
Kinda like a quiet early morning on the lake fishing... But I believe that fog may have been a harbinger of burnouts to come!
Nah that just some tire smoke.
16:45 - it was in this moment that Cleetus figured out why people like the Farming Simulator games
20:00 Might as well "mill and fill" the whole thing (including the oval) at this point.
It may be my low T talking but I got choked up watching this. The out pouring of support and help you've received is awesome. I can't wait to see the finished product. Good times to come!!
I think that "don't worry" in the title was more for Cleetus than it was for us
"Florida Man achieves lifelong dream of being Foreman on a local road construction project". Lmao
In all seriousness that's awesome! Good for you guys. Hope they get a lot more business from this.
Just watching those beautiful puffy clouds and time-lapse was breathtaking.
When I was a double belly dump driver, we had some downtime at the quarry, and the loader operator let me "play" with the controls a bit. With a Volvo 750hp wheel loader, and a bucket that could fit a Ford Super Duty inside.
It is exactly as cool as you're imagining it.
The boys at the quarry used to give me a small piece of the explosive they used so I could chew on it to get rid of a headache if I had one, it worked.
@@squiggly_lines Pretty sure it gave you a small high as well lol.
Cryo Gyro jesus christ man c4 or dynamite?
He's right you need to just do the whole thing. You're making a national icon cleetus. You're a legend. It will work out
Brother, you are changing the game for car UA-camrs! You're setting the freaking bar so high! No matter who has what cars, or does crazy stuff, you will always have them toppped! The Freedom Factory is going to change the game man, and I am here for it!! Can't wait to watch this thing turn into the most amazing epicenter of freedom!! 🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲🦅
True ! Even better fact of a legit guy like Cleet doing all this rather then the typical scabs. If all falls as planned this really will be a fun zone.
Tyler Clarkson cleeter moved up from you tuber to entrepreneur!!
I'm still not sure why watching track work/maintenance is so satisfying, but I can't wait to see the finished product! For what it's worth you and everyone involved are doing a great job with the track!
I am actually in love with the process and how you are showing ever step of the way and I cannot wait to watch more and more
I never thought id ever be so interested in asphalt milling until now.
It's still super fun to watch, even after being around it for a year
Everything he’s been doing with the FF is so interesting to me. It’s awesome!
Alternate Title: Florida Man plays with construction equipment
)leuekeri
There's no UA-camr I'm more proud of then this channel and all the guys on it!!! 🦅🇺🇸🦅
I’ve done paving for a living for about 5 yrs, would have loved to help on this project if I was in Bradenton. Good luck bro! I know it will turn out amazing. No better feeling than a fresh paved lot
Concrete 💪
Nice to see all the fellow pavers commenting here!!
could u imagine FD working with Cleetus to have an event here in the FD season. IK they have an event there at Orlando Speed World but imagine they switch to this venue.
I don't see FD having an event there due to Orlando Speed World being so close. However, I can see it turning into an extra side fun event like what happens in both Midpond and Pat's Acres
Talking about someone that’s just doing it for the people he’s doing everything he can to bring great content to the people hands down in the top two car or automotive UA-camrs out there
kOrEy NYC vlogs for sure. Super cool seeing this. who’s your other top picks?
DDE is def in my top 5
Nate Fantetti Kim guessin Bad Obsession with Project Binky
Nah mr good old cletus is number 1 for sure on youtube
Not just doing it for the people..Doin it for Dale!
Cleetus has no mechanical sympathy yet gets upset or worried about his grass and asphalt😂
Austin Jamison ... #Priorities 😂
He does have a girly streak doesn't he?
What Cleetus meant to say: "We were going to do asphalt, but James would tear it up in a day" LOLOLOLOLOL
Skid pad also good for autocross setups.
Music concerts, go carts and rocket launch pads too.
Before watching, I just want to say thanks for the content Cleetus and team. This isolation sucks and I've been enjoying all your content from the last couple years. Massive love and respect from Vancouver Island Canada.
Watching Cleetus' success is like watching puzzle pieces falling into their places, one by one. One company/group/individual after another, seeing this story go on and adding their touch to it. The company that hooked it up with the track lawn, bleachers, now this. Crazy, seeing the American dream puzzle- unfold before my own eyes! Genuine nd Humble, Rock on Cleet brother🤘 🇺🇸
Side note, in a way, this is becoming my old school Top Gear void filler
It's amazing that you get so many people to volunteer their time and help. Says a lot about your offscreen personality that we don't see.
Well he probably is a great guy but don't forget that this is a form of advertising for every company that helps out.
Imagine seeing your track in a video games sold around the world... epic.

20:38.
That "This is gonna cost me more money" face.
lol
Thats exactlly what their plan was!
@@r90crxhf well their plan is to make things right and also for their pro approach of the thing, if they can't do things right, they can take no responsibilities if the thing fall apart soon enough and it could've been so ! it's for the good !
It’s better to re do it. It’s smart on Cleetus’s part to re do them
Had to come back and watch some older videos. Wow how far this guy has brought his business is just incredible. Respect 🫡 to the man! Hell yeah brother🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm doing the same bro
My guess- Cleetus ends up owning the dragstrip too. 5 years tops. Gonna be like Disney for car guys!
Will Dodds i doubt it because that strip is very successful but it’d be nice
Naa he knows the owner and wouldnt do that i dont think
You have seen the future my friend. Will it be known as Cleetus Word or McFarLand?
he'll end up building his own on the ff property lmao
As long as current owners wanna run it, they will probably keep working with them the way they do now, however when the current owners wanna retire/sell it I could definitely see cleetus and friends making a serious bid for it.
Y’all should build a motocross track in the back and do motocross event there
Now this guy is on to something
There already is but it's so old and abandon that it's not worth rebuilding but otherwise good idea.
No
@@lucid523 Not hard to resurface jumps even with hand tools if they are already there, with equipment its ez mode to make an entirely new track from what would be there already. When I was a teenager we built a few local dirt tracks with nothing but hand tools, some trucks, and a bunch of individuals wishing to ride them. lol
You’re really on to something. 💯
Becoming a foreman 101: Drive around in a shiny pickup and point. ✅
Polaris g fr 😂
Seriously
That looks like a fun job. I've done that work on roads with traffic. This is the kind of job where you can relax a little, and when it's all done you can look at it and appreciate the awesome work. Also yeah, good Dozer and Grader operators make tricky work look easy. Hoping to get into grader work in a few years myself.
No cars were even in this video and I’m pretty sure it’s one of my favorite videos ever. I love being a part of this period in the Cleetus channel!
He needs it for the base of the new one
If there's room somewhere on the 60 acres, I still think an outdoor motocross track would be an awesome addition at some point in the future.
Fubarsim'r imagine the pit bike carnage!
There is one in the back.
They have in the back woods. Hasn't been used in a while though.
i would love to watch time lapse of the entire construction project - maybe on cleetus2
Agreed Imaging this whole thing live streamed 😍
Top end equipment, sweet GPS machine control on the dozer blade. Milling machine operators never stop, intense position to be in when 40 people are waiting on you, respect
Other channels,"do guys want noncar videos of us doing things"
Cleetus:"Look at us use construction equipment!!!"
can't wait to see what you do with this in like 5 years time after you've made money from it etc, you could resurface the entire place and also add to the track maybe?
You could also get a bunch of gokarts and rent the track out to people and do track days run what you bring etc be so good
Can’t wait to look back at this video in a few years after formula D starts being held at the FF
true
Hell yeah
I was just thinking the same thing. Especially with his connections to a few of the FD guys and them being friends with a lot of the other FD drivers I think for sure it will be held at the Freedom factory within the next few years.
I really appreciate keeping the Figure 8 in the track as a lover of small track history. It really preserves what the Freedom Factory once was to keep it. Thanks man.
I have a feeling with Cleetus's connections with the formula drift guys like Vaughn, Chelsea and Adam. That we will see the formula drift season come to the freedom factory within the next few years.
nah he just ruined it for drifting...
I hope so!
@@degax203 i dont think so look how OSW has a FD pro 1 and 2 event and ist just an ovle with a small cross this looks really much perfevt for fd know with the big bunr out box you can evry event a difrent course
@@Beast3217 nah
@@degax203 how so? Look at irwindale. Banked track with a paved infield and its one of the favourite tracks among the driver's and spectators.
This episode should have been titled “cleetur vs budget”
I have a feeling he waited for Cooper to take a vacation before this one. Cooper is kinda the same "let's think about this first" kinda guy. Lol
@@ZLT_90 see its usually cooper on his left shoulder saying hey take it easy bud and James on his right screaming full send

Cleetus during quarantine: WERE BUILDING A SKID PAD
Slxng ....I can here him already, what ya all scared about ? It’s just a flu, it’ll blow over in a couple days and we’ll be ready. The only distancing I’m doing is me gapping you ! Ha ha ha
*Firetruck comes on an emergency at the track* cleetus: I’m gonna need you to move, I have to drive it.
He all ready had a firetruck there!! Go back to when he cleaned the bleachers!!
i do asphalt paving for a living me and my crew were talking about how cool it would be to do this place for you, hope it turns out good
I'm sure there is a lot more areas that can use the work. I'd contact them regardless to see.
I was hoping he was going to do the whole race track so it smooth and looks amazing
$$$$$$ that oval would be pricey as fuck
It will come. One day at a time
That mill backing up and sitting down just reminds of the up and coming season. Couple more weeks hopefully and I'll be out there building sum road. Let's go
I miss the longer vids. The 10 - 15 min vids feel like a tease.
I was wanting even more with this video!
@@darrencorbit5994 10-15 minute vids are bout perfect.
@@johnnyg9507 not for us bud
18:18 The clouds couldn't be more perfect.
Hell, if you do end up with a pond during the rain maybe the Tracker could make it through, just a thought 🤪 🤷🏻♂️
The track is coming along nicely, keep it up we are all enjoying it.
That poor geo tracker xD I think the wheels are so big and floaty they make it want to go right side down. Get some small tires on there, like tractor tires for getting through the silt on the bottom. Maybe also add a weight plate to the bottom of the vehicle.
Their, not there, you did it twice. I could leave the rest of the mistakes alone but this one really bothers me considering you are the one trying to give advice.
I'm a land surveyor in Miami. I should shoot Garrett an email.
Jon Ross grammar police! I wrote that while I was turning rounds to set control at work, wasn’t concerned about proper grammar! I’m glad it made you feel better about yourself to chime in about grammar because you had no idea what I was talking about! We hear you jon! Thanks for the grammar advice, now go back to fortnite and let the men have conversations about real world work!
Glenn Conner Do it! It would benefit him greatly, as I know you understand what I was talking about! And thanks for not calling me out for the grammar mistakes ;)
This Freedom Factory series has been one of the coolest things I've ever seen on UA-cam. Absolute MUST keep watching to see the progress!
Shout out 3:16 Speed! Thanks for helping make the freedom factory great!
What if FD ended up being held at the Freed Factory in the future, that would be badass!
I was thinking that when Vaughn was drifting but now that there repaving all the bad parts I actually think it could be a possibility
I think that is one of his eventual goals.
I'd love to see grassroots events tbh lol
I think he mentioned thats one of his dreams with this track. would be epic, and he could generate a ton of revenue to keep restoring the track.
I'd rather them use this track instead of Orlando
The amount of effort and planning it takes to do things like this is insane. So cool you were able to build relationships with knowledgeable people to help you out. So excited for you guys
This old track has got a new life!! Thanks Cleetus for saving this piece of history!!
I have a feeling FD might be adding a new track to a season later on in the future 🤔🤔🤔
nah theyre pros hes building a shit cone skid pad made for beginners
THE CLOUDS IN THE TIME LAPSE ARE AMAZING
20:45 just like every contractor I’ve ever met talking to every owner I’ve ever met.
Willie The boggle it’s for the best thought. It will be much safer that way also.
Yea legit everything he's saying is a total sales job but he's not wrong haha.
Well as hard as it is to go forward with more the cost for doing it later would probably be 2x the cost down the road
I do construction and yes everyday is a sale pitch or pitching upgrades to homeowners lol
I think maybe all that access dirt and grass maybe for monster trucks? Host a monster truck event???
