    It's not that long ago when the PLA Airforce operated thousands of J-6 (Mig-19) and the best planes they had were a few hundred J-7 (Mig-21) and J-8.
    Now, China has the ability to design and develop, as well as manufacture and deploy in large numbers some of the most advanced aircraft in the world.
    The J-10/JF-17/JL-8/JL-9/JL-10/J-16/JH-7/J-20/J-35, the Y-9/Y-20, KJ-600, Zhi-18/Zhi-20/Zhi-10/Zhi-19 and the H-20 as well as many other aircraft are all Chinese designed and built.
    This is an amazing achievement in such a short period of time.

      These developments are most noticeable across the Navy and Air Force, but they also exist in the PLA Ground Force.

    Proposal FC31 is said to be leading to four variants in the end: the PLAAF J-31, the export version of J-31, the carrier-based J-35 and a PLAN land-based fighter. The former two are often referred to as FC31 v2.0, and the J-35 was called v3.0. The PLAN land-based version could be a blend of 31 and 35 but share more similarities with the 31, very much the same as the current J-11B, J-15, and J-11BH variants of the Chinese Flankers.

    • @Strategy_Analysis
      @Strategy_Analysis  Рік тому +4

      With the PLANAF investing in the J-35, the J-31(?) gained a new lease on life with interest from the PLAAF. Essentially, it is most likely that there will be two versions of the basic airframe. A catapult-launch capable version (J-35), that the PLANAF might also use from shore-based (for logistics reasons), and a land-based version (J-31) for the PLAAF, possibly for the PLANAF (for cost reasons), with a downgraded version (sensors) of the J-31 for export. So really only 2 versions.

      Yes, the rise has been quick. But this rise is not consistent across all military capabilities.

      Which rise of any armed force has been consistent across all capabilities? Even the amerikans lack hypersonic and hgv weapons. Rather the PLA has been impressive across the board.

    J20 appears designed as an ambush platform … stealthy from the front quadrant, high speed, long range, and large weapon bay for large missiles. You could include the large radar but I expect satellite sensor based intercepts eliminates that need.

    Your videos need a bit of compression done to the audio to balance the noise levels, this one is better than some of the ones in the past, but the audio levels have not always been consistent. Perhaps balancing them once they're finished with a compressor in audacity will help.

    • @Strategy_Analysis
      @Strategy_Analysis  Рік тому +1

      Thank you. Much appreciated. Pretty simple to do?

    • @DoubleGlog
      @DoubleGlog Рік тому +1

      @@Strategy_Analysis
      As simple as having the audio file, dropping it into audacity, doubleclicking the track to highlight it, clicking 'Effects' in the toolbar > 'Compressor' and leaving it with the defaults and just clicking compress.
      Playing around with it will give you better results, but as long as the input is not too muffled, it should work to improve your experience. You may want to check the 'Compress based on peaks' and 'make up for 0 db after compressing', but as you mostly upload audio narration, it might not be needed.
      Your video editor also may have these audio options but I'd say audacity is pretty straightforward.

    I have a question.
    Let's say a SAM system uses ULF to detect stealth targets, sure, it's not a target lock, but modern missiles are pretty smart. Could the SAM shoot a missile out to that approximate location and then the missile will guide itself onto the target through an IR or even visual lock?
    Perhaps at that point the SAM would be more akin to a suicide drone, but the idea holds.

    Thanks for that! Brilliantly informative. A suggestion for a future briefing, what China's current naval mine warefare capabilities are? Given that their submarine doctrine explicitly places the covert deployment of mines as their first priority, and the potential for significant damage they can do, there's a great paucity of good in-depth analysis as to what mining and mine-clearing capabilities China *actually* can deploy. Thanks again for the great video!

    Sorry one other thing, China has two variants of their stealth bomber - they are developing a highly manoeuvrable one and a long range ultra low profile high altitude one. Maybe why there is some confusion on the Xian - there are two.

      I thought the other one was a fighter bomber rather than a bomber. JH-XX right?

    • @Strategy_Analysis
      @Strategy_Analysis  Рік тому +2

      As @136 mentions, I think the other one you are talking about is a Fighter/Bomber or Strike aircraft sometimes referred to as the JH-XX. There is even less about this possible aircraft than the H-20. The other thing to bear in mind is currently the PLA has four stealth aircraft programs (the ones I mention in the briefing) that aim (or have) developed into operational platforms. Adding more would be extremely costly.

    • @Strategy_Analysis
      @Strategy_Analysis  Рік тому

      @@The136th Yes, @The136. See my response above. Also, from what I've seen the JH-XX seems to be aimed at replacing the JH-7 and J-16s with a stealth aircraft. I wouldn't be surprised if this capability wasn't replaced with UCAVs.
