A panel with comic book creator and former Skybound editor Sina Grace, series producer Robert Kirkman, and AMC's The Walking Dead actor Chandler Riggs, who plays the part of "Carl Grimes" in AMC's adaptation of The Walking Dead.
Join production and cast as they tell us what to expect on season three. In this panel, series writer Robert Kirkman talks about his favorite weapon for the zombie apocalypse, and his freedom as a writer as part of AMC's production for the TV adaptation of his story.
We will also find out what inspired Robert Kirkman to write The Walking Dead, why animals can't get the disease, why Atlanta was selected as a location for the story, whether or not zombies will ever die out, and which movie director cast and production would choose for a big-screen adaptation of the series.

It depends on what kind of role and what kind of contract he has - while what you're saying is true, the industry itself has also been changing - many kids actors with long-term contracts on movie franchise or TV series have it easier because the writing will form around them from being kids to teen to young adults, allowing for that transition - and for those who don't have those roles, one can also take guest starring spots in shows or movies to up/change their roles.
