Our first trip of 2024 and we are starting in with 8 HOURS IN CHINA VLOG! We spend the day in between flights exploring what Shanghai has to offer and it did not disappoint, if only we had more time!

China has a wide range of climate conditions. In the northernmost part of Heilongjiang Province, it is currently snowing due to its proximity to Russia. In the western part of Xinjiang, it is snowing at around minus 1 to minus 40 degrees Celsius. In the central or eastern coastal provinces, it is not snowing, but it can be slightly cold at around 1-10 degrees Celsius. In the southern part of Yunnan Province, Guangdong Province, which is close to Vietnam and Myanmar, the climate is around 20 degrees Celsius
If a Chinese person comes to visit your home country and expects you to speak Chinese to them, wouldn't that be weird?
I agree, that would be weird. I didn't expect it. I just realised that not many people did. Which can be an odd feeling i suppose for a British person as mostly where ever you go people speak english. If anything I need to be better prepared with my Chinese! I am back for a day next week, have you got anything you could recommend me seeing, doing whilst i'm there. Thank you x
But English is the popular language in the world it’s different from Chinese. In fact Chinese start teaching their students English from elementary schools which says a lot
@@letisriva8581yes it’s very popular that’s why I had the reaction. I was only there for 8 hours so I didn’t have enough time to really explore. That’s amazing! It’s a very useful language to have. I speak three languages and I’ve always wanted to learn Chinese! 🥰

@@alessandrarosa You are smarter then me! I can only speak English, and even my former Spanish teacher told me not to try to learn any other language. That is how bad I was at trying to learn Spanish!

It's a beautiful country!
It seemed like a very rushed day. In fact, the Bund and Yu Garden are the most beautiful at night. There are also many interesting places to explore in Shanghai, and many delicious vegetarian restaurants. Also good vegetarian restaurants in China that can use vegetarian ingredients to taste like meat. I hope you have enough time to play next time.
It was so rushed! I only had 8 hours between flights. I am back next week for a full day and night so I will definitely visit the places you have recommended. Where else would you recommend me seeing whilst I am there. What are the name of the vegetarian restaurants? Thank you so much xx

2.无味舒食（思南公馆·洋房店）|Wu-Wei-Shu-Shi , 616rmb/per；
Near Xintiandi in the city center, the environment is good, and reservation is required
3.叶叶菩提（太原别墅店）| Ye - Ye - Pu - Ti , 810rmb/per
It‘s best to confirm your seat and make a reservation before going.

one day in shanghai seems too short😂 which city are you coming next time? For vegans, i think cantonese(south China) is the best option for you, we do great vegans cuisine and not spicy at all. You can find Yumcha(dim sum, cantonese tea time cuisine) in Shanghai as well, I’m sure you girls will love that.
I know! It’s just a stop between flights I’m going back to London so we have a day ( more than last time!) so back to Shanghai! if I know places to go I can see more :) thank you 🙏🏼
For vegetarians, it is indeed difficult to find places to eat. However, there are some famous vegetarian restaurants in Shanghai. You can google them in advance next time.
Yes it is however I have had so many recommendations since this video has gone out which has been so helpful. Going back to your point I have noticed that the vegan/veggie options have started to decline since the pandemic which is such a shame :( I hope you are having a fantastic week :)

I wasn't expecting you guys to say that Shanghai was super clean, because being that it's a big city with lots of people, I was expecting lots of dirt and trash. Also, I noticed there wasn't a lot of people, which was also nice.

We were so amazed we didn't expect it either! Although there are around 30 million people living there you couldn't feel it at all! It was actually very calm walking around not too noisy just wonderful! You're welcome Johanne I hope you are doing well sending lots of love xx

I’m surprised you weren’t able to find a McDonald. They are everywhere. Lots of coffee shops with pastries that you can just point and order.
Hey lovely! I did see mcDonalds yes but i don't eat it ever. I don't like fast food and I am conscious about my health always :) It was so strange, maybe I didn't walk down the right roads? We found a few lovely restaurants but they didn't open until 5 and i had to leave to catch my flight. I am back next week for a day so if you have anything you can recommend that would be amazing :) Thank youx

11:19 其实这个区域已经是豫园，只不过这里是外围的“豫园商城”，只差一步就到了真正豫园。不过豫园本身也不过就是个小花园，地处市中心加上在上海稀有，才比较出名而已。

@@alessandrarosa Glad to hear that, welcome back to shanghai ! I highly recommend to visit XinTianDi where is a big shopping mall with some delicious food. Yuyuan Garden was built by traditional building style, which is a good place to visit in the evening. Also, u can do some city walk to enjoy the typical buildings of shanghai style along JuLu Road and WuKang Road. Walking along the Suzhou River and exploring some parks in Shanghai will make u very cheerful ! For the food, I recommend “RenHeGuan”, a typical shanghai style food restaurant. If u wanna try Peking Duck, “SiJiMingFu” which is great one to try in Shanghai( these restaurants are so popular, make sure to make a reservation online or in person ahead😊). Wish u have a great trip in China!
So sad you not find local food to try. Maybe next time I can suggest you can try good taste local food
