My friend had the same problem of the bolt not latching. I've worked on 03 Springfield and 98.mauser but not the enfield. I knew it was something simple. Thanks for the small info about the end piece. I tightened it. Slid the bolt back in and it's just as good as it came from the factory except a little worn. An old war dog like the rest of us.
Thanks! I also had a problem with the bolt head getting turned while it was removed while I was refinishing the stock. Might have taken me a long time to figure out the problem if it wasn't for your video. Yours was the second bolt video I watched. The first one didn't mention the possibility of this problem.
Thank you! Yeah, my dad and I were cleaning it after shooting in a match and when we found out this could happen we thought it would be a great thing to do a short video on.
When I press down on the button it doesn’t go all the way down so I can’t remove my bolt. Anyone have a fix for this? It’s probably something under the button like dirt or sand.
Honestly if it weren’t for this video I probably never would have figured out about the spinning thing. 10/10
Same here!
It was the tighten the front swivel-ee thing that I didn't do...thanks!

Only video I could find that was clear and not shot on a cellphone. Finally got my No.5 bolt out for cleaning and oiling.

Great video, I was having that very problem with the lug!
Thank you! Crazy how such a small thing can cause such a big issue. Great rifle!
