Well this is what I wanted to know from any review and nobody seems to be giving any decent information about it. I have the “Complete Saga” Blu-ray boxset for years and want to know if these are exactly the same blurays. The only audio tech difference I saw so far was old ones were DTS 6.1 whereas these are DTS 7.1 (no idea what the missing channel was in old ones). But no idea about video yet.
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think the sequel (Disney) trilogy is overhated. I get that this trilogy isn't everyone's favourite, but I like it.
Just rewatched TROS and thought it was pretty good. Some of these films are excellent others „just“ good, some even mediocre. However, I think they all come together pretty seamlessly to form a coherent saga, which I really, really love, which is why I can’t rank them. To me, they‘ve become one big story and I rarely want to watch just one of them. Anyway, thanks for the unboxing. Love the retro-VHS Box-like Design. I personally got the other set, but I was curious what this looks like. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
Hi there, I’m considering getting this box set today I’m a huge fan of Star Wars. I love the tv shows and the movies. I do already have them all on Blu ray but this box set looks beautiful.
My favourite is A New Hope the original Star Wars film. As an 11 year old lad I remember all the magic of this film and the secret crush I had on Princess Leia :-).

Not going to lie I wish this is what we would've gotten in the U.S. the digipak book we got here? Oooh boy, some of those sleeves were so tight that I had to grab onto the discs on both sides and extract them, I swear it caused damage. Been afraid to even find out, sitting down for a 9 movie marathon and all bonus features would take forever, but I found out that all the 4K releases have their respective movie's bonus disc anyway so if any of them should fail I can get a replacement easily without replacing the whole limited edition set. Edit: I just realized this set isn't 4K, but I must say, the U.S. set should've just been 4K and the bonus features, it came with digital copies so even if you don't have a 4K player, it would've been fine
I already own all of the films on Blu-ray, so if I bought this box set, am I getting anything extra? Or are all the bonus discs included in older Blu-ray copies?
Great Review! I also got this amazing set today, my favourites are Empire (Used to always watch it when I was a kid on a VHS tape and still my all time fave Star Wars), New Hope and Revenge of the Sith. Return of the Jedi used to be my second favourite Star Wars when I was a kid but I still love it nonetheless and is my 4th favourite.

Bam Smith their are about 2 new extra features per movie and most features are transferred over but some are missing, such as most of the features found on the 3rd extra feature disc of the previous set that had the prequels and original
@@ughugh351 they contain several documentries a lot of spoofs from different shows weird Al’s music video from episode 1 and archives of behind the scenes and special features from episodes 1-6, after checking my library their are 3 bonus disc 1 withe the documentary’s and spoofs, 1 with the episode 1-3 archives and 1 with the episode 4-6 archives

Rick Adams I did wonder if that was the case, that just means the 4K one is the only one where the letter is actually loose, good to know I just wanted to keep my 4K copy sealed it’s the collector in me 😜 I also don’t like the way the discs are stored on the 4K in the slots either
Prequels: Revenge of the Sith Originals: A New Hope Sequels: The Force Awakens The Force Awakens was the only sequel that was good in my opinion. The Rise of Skywalker is alright but not very well-written and The Last Jedi has too many canon-breaking moments (Holdo maneuver) and boring plot lines for it to be that enjoyable

John Li yeah I’m just saying I’d rather pay more and get the 4K discs and the digital codes. Just getting the movies again on Blu-Ray is kind of useless in my opinion. But obviously if you don’t already own the movies and you don’t care about 4K or digital copies, then this is the way to go.

Did I see fine? All movies with spanish audio and subtitles left the last one (The Rise of Skywalker). This box set has no sense... In Spain we haven't 4k version and seems blueray(1080) netiher.

It would have been worth way more had it had Mark Hamill's actual signature. What you have there is his signature made into a stamp(with his permission of course). He didn't actual sign anything.
thats how box set should be done. the usa got a bigger box and it was poorly done. had no dics cases. all it had was a card bord were you slide out the disc.
Hey, i have interest on this pack but in my country is so much expensive than in UK. I see in the languages list, Spanish is listed, but i do not know if it is Castilian Spanish (from Spain) or Latin Spanish (from Southamerica). I would appreciate this information a lot. Thank you!
I'd like to know this as well. I still don't have an updated visual representation of the original trilogy. I still have the UNALTERED 1997 DVDs. Would really like to have them in 4K but not at the expense of the Lucas treatment
@@rickadams it's not the pure 1997 Special Edition because they made changes for the 2004 DVD, the 2011 Blu-Ray and also for the Disney+/4k/New Blu-Ray so it's changed a lot
TLJ has to grow with the years, like ESB did. I'm sure In 10, 20 or even more years in will be respected as the masterpiece it really is. Controversial movies always need time.
It's most likely down to the price and the fact that the original trilogy has been mucked around with, yet again (Even after it left Lucas's hands he still found away to troll fans). I'm keeping hold of my recently acquired GOUT DVD editions until Disney makes the unaltered versions available (which I highly doubt they will).
@@HeavyJ713 I can't find any evidence of this but if it was true than I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. I think since the versions of the films on Disney Plus are a failed 3D conversion made by Lucas prior to the Disney acquisition it was cheaper to use those 4K versions rather than doing a proper remaster. George Lucas is a massive hypocrite as he was against the colourisation of black and white films and called changing films "cultural vandalism" and yet here he goes mucking around with Star Wars and refusing fans access to the Oscar winning versions. Still, my deal with Disney is until they release the unaltered versions I am not forking over my £60 for the Blu Ray set. If they don't release the unaltered versions than Disney aren't getting my £60.
That’s why I love the Star Wars community because it’s so diverse and dynamic. As a fan I believe The Last Jedi is utter rubbish, but yet Rick, another super fan, believes it’s fantastic. And Star Wars fan to Star Wars fan, I would never hate on his opinion. My original 3 favorite is Empire, my prequel favorite is Revenge of the Sith, and honestly, I hate 7, 8, & 9 so no favorite there. I’d put Rogue One & Solo above them.
For me, it's 1. Revenge of the Sith (which might actually my favorite out of all of them) 2. The Empire Strikes Back (surreal, Vader at his most menacing) 3. The Last Jedi (this movie has just everything - quirky aliens, interesting characters, deep thematic content and absolute epic ness, Kylo, Rey and even Luke were never better!)
I actually dont recommend buying this I did and several of the discs were screatched and had weird white dots all over them I'd recommend buying them all separately.

You must be psychic, I was looking for. Good review of this and thought it’d be awesome if you did one, so thanks for a proper look at the set. For me it’s Revenge of the Smith, Empire Strikes Back and Last Jedi. Rise of Skywalker was a disappointment for me, it was so close to being great but they fudged so much of it that it ended up a bit of a nonsense.
The Original Trilogy and Phantom Menace shouldn't be rated U they should be rated PG Edit: Also I personally think Attack of the clones should have been rated 12.
I'm just trawling UA-cam to get a straight answer on whether it does or not... but in guessing ftlmnyour comment it doesn't. Why is nobody discussing this? It's a disgrace if they didn't include the unaltered original trilogy! Pffft.

@@geogan2 the original trilogy blu rays transfers have a better natural colour gaumet also much better overall image fidelity

I had this set. Just bought the 4k Skywalker saga. Gave my blu-ray set away to the RSPCA charity shop.

On a side note. If it’s the Skywalker Saga, why the Death Star for box art and not images of the Skywalker lineage? Just a thought.

For me it’s Revenge of the Smith, Empire Strikes Back and Last Jedi. Rise of Skywalker was a disappointment for me, it was so close to being great but they fudged so much of it that it ended up a bit of a nonsense.

Why they put original logos of episodes IV-IX, but put another versions for I-III?
The Original Trilogy and Phantom Menace shouldn't be rated U they should be rated PG
Edit: Also I personally think Attack of the clones should have been rated 12.
