move carl-bot role at the top of the roles it will fix the problem because carl bot cannot give role upper than himself (sorry if my english is not very good im french)

I enter these exact commands and it just ignores me. also, you cant call anything that involves actual code "easy". easy usually implies that its easy but carl bot is intentionally difficult and unbelievably user unfriendly
Yes, you can attach reaction roles to an existing message using the message id. It's one of your first selections to choose if carl send a message or to attach to existing message.

Developer Mode is now under "Advanced" instead of "Appearance". It's the last option under "App Settings" after you pull up "User Settings".

Yes, you can attach reaction roles to an existing message using the message id.

You can just make people join with no roles, when they react they get the verified role
