- The Edmonton Oilers trip down to Sunrise, Florida, couldn't have gone worse. In Game 1 they played well but couldn't beat Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped all 32 shots he faced. Then in Game 2, there was a glimmer of hope when Mattias Ekholm scored to give the Oilers the lead. However, the belief fell apart after the Panthers scored four unanswered goals to seal the win.
Now, the Oilers head back home down 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Final. The last team to be down 2-0 in a Stanley Cup Final and win was the 2011 Boston Bruins. Can the Oilers now find their inner Bruin?
After a long travel day yesterday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are back for a new edition of Oilersnation Everyday. to Frank's point, Skinner needs to be better on those shots from Florida's 3rd and 4th liners. All of Rodriguez's goals were soft, you can say odd man rushes and all but Bob stopped 5 breakaways and shut down 3 or 4 powerplays in Game 1. Oilers 3rd and 4th liners, hell even 2nd liners are not beating Bob but Florida is beating Skinner. This is the difference in the series

For the life of me I don’t understand how a guy the size of Draisaital ends up airborne to hit a guy hunched over. Youll need to explain the physics of how that happens when you’re not targeting the head.
As far as im concerned I wanna see the best playing the best, so not a fan of suspensions here.

You are so blinded by your bias you are really lost. Draisaitl definitely left his feet and jumped into Barkov. If you think any different then you are in complete denial of facts and you no longer have any credibility on the subject. It was obvious and only people in Edmonton see something else and make excuses for what happened. Maybe no suspension for Draisaitl but if it happened to McDavid you would be singing a different tune.
Your not wrong but, can't expect that to be a suspension when Bennett doing the exact same with zero cobsequence. Refs need to either put the whistles away or call it even, especially the dives
@@smokythebear9711 I am tired of referee excuses when they apply to Edmonton. The Oiler fans are ridiculous about this stuff and it gets old. Just because someone isn't permanently injured doesn't mean it didn't happen. Foegele was knee on knee and maybe it shouldn't have been a 5 minute penalty but at the time that was what was called. Shit, Vegas got the shaft on a 5 minute major against San Jose that cost them a game 7. I still hate Pavelski to this day but it happened and you move on.
@vegasbucs3519 oh trust me I'm not just upset about missed calls going the oilers way, I've even called them out for missed calls against my oilers plenty. 100% they need to play better of they expect to win, but the officiating this season has been probably the worst I've ever seen in my life.
