Haha yeah, it was a long week at ShotShow and multiple videos in a row. Neither I nor the cameraman caught that lol It's 7+1 OR 8+1 with the ghost load

Watch out for those plastic sling QD mounts. I attached my sling then gave it a jiggle, put the sling over my shoulder to take it to the truck for its maiden first run. With arms full and shotgun over shoulder that awful feeling of the gun getting lighter and slap on the concrete my shotgun goes. It landed on the front sight plus a slight bit on the rear. Ouch! It handled it well with finish damage on the front and some roughness on the rear sight top. I shoved the sling ring back in and it came out again, tried the right side it stuck as it should. I put it back it several times on the left side and it stuck. It popped out one more time and I put it back in and it finally stuck for good. Watch out and really seat that push button before trusting it.
In addition to the other upgrades from the 1301, it looks like Beretta redesigned the mag extension on the 1301 Mod.2 to include 2 small ridges on its circumference to prevent the barrel clamp from siding fore and aft. Or am I seeing things?
The only real advantage of the new Mod 2 ( I say new because the LE version I bought in 2021 is also a mod 2) over the previous versions is the trigger pack which comes with the Pro lifter attached. The trigger is supposed to be the best on any shotgun. The handguard is new and it is better than the stock handguard on the previous models, but neither of them are very good. Just buy the modified Zhukov or the Midwest handguards and be done with the dumb shit. I like the Zhukov with the optional heat shield. Steel barrel clamps and mag caps can be bought from GG&G and this is something I would do on this new one as well as the previous models. Mine came with the Urbino and I liked it just fine until I tried the SGA, which I very much prefer. YMMV. As for optics, in it's stock configuration you are going to have lots of fun trying to find one that co-witnesses with the ghost rings. Why Beretta didn't take a cue from Mossberg and cut this new model for a RDMS is beyond me. I swapped the pic rail for a mount from GG&G and put a 507c on mine after having run the 512c on it for several years with the added weight and no co-witness.
Good day Ranier Arms... With all of the recently enacted firearms restriction in Washington State, is the Beretta 1301 Tactical Mod2 legal for Washington State residents to purchase ? Thank you.
no. a semi-auto shotgun can't have a pistol grip in WA. a pump can. I'm guessing this is for out of state residents. they sell it to you and FFL transfer, because IDK?
Then they should make the statement "NOT LEGAL FOR SALE IN THE STATE OF WASHINGTON" for anything that they carry and advertise that cannot be sold in the state... @@Chemically_Induced

My first generation 1301 has six on the stock six on the receiver and six in the magazine for an overall total of 18. The magazine holds seven but I don’t stress the spring and prefer to ghost load for cruiser ready.
I don't understand why semi auto shotty's keep using those crappy plastic front qd/magazine clamps. They always move or flex & or unintentionally detached from the qd sling....smh
Magazine capacity is 7+1
Yup! It is 7+1 but we were including the ghost load which brings it up to 8+1. We'll be more clear next time!
Ran straight to comments when I heard 18 + 1.
Good reviews either way

18 plus 1? lets buy it!!
😂That would be pretty sweet! Sadly, it's only 7+1 or 8+1 with the ghost load!
I know, I got the A300. Love that 1301 you have, I may still get it.
You definitely should! haha They are f'n sweet shotgun! @@robertstanderford8438

Does it have a hammer forged chrome barrel?

How does that SCRS do on the 1301? I was so hoping you would show that. In the market for an optic for the 1301, and have been considering this one.
We have not personally tested the SCRS for durability and performance on the 1301. From what we have heard, the SCRS works just fine on shotguns.
What stock is that on the 1301. Does that come from factory?
it is the Mesa Tactical Urbino Pistol Grip Stock. This configuration comes standard with it.
What camera is being used in this video. Man the quality is top tier.

18 + 1 is the Hollywood movie version.

Ya, I think that’s a bit of confusion. Shawn works at their store in Kansas.

18 plus 1, wow, and the mag tube isn't even past the barrel.😂
That Beretta 1301 shotgun has a magazine capacity of 18 +1? 😂 You’re going to give me a refund if I get it and find out what you said is false, right?
long week at shot show 😂 it’s 8+1 good catch though
I think it’s actually 7+1 (+2 if you ghost load).

LOL😂
Well it holds 18 rounds of 9mm if you compress the spring enough
