It makes no sense to dodge every attack while having a shield. I hate for this to be a classic style of create a problem of Shields lacking Anti-Interruption and solve it with money by pulling for limited characters who has it or get their sequences to fix that like Lingyang's S1 for example. Let's hope Rinascita or Subsequent patches introduce healers or echos that can fix this but what do you think of this?
I think kuro could help alleviate the terrible feeling of character dmg windows feeling bad when interrupted by removing the time limits and hp sponge mechanics in toa. Just make the combat harder and lean into the dodge and parry mechs. If it is more about survival than dps, then all of a sudden even "bad" characters now become fine and even feel pretty good in clears. That's prob y holo bosses feel wayyyy more fun than trying to 3 star tower floors
I have no problem with your suggestion especially for certain players. I'd rather see they remove any punishment for dodging. The most powerful moves on a character should be enhanced or benefitted by perfect dodging rather than a dps loss. - Chixia could get a cool somersault where she keeps shooting during her forte skill if you perfect dodge while holding down the skill button, possibly even adding 5 more bullets (so if you dodge multiple times she could keep shooting and shooting). - Chadcharo should gain 2 seconds extra duration during his burst for each perfect dodge and increase his forte stacks by 1. - Jianxin should get increase team aero damage for each perfect dodge during her forte skill. Etc. things like this. Basically, make aggressive enemies an opportunity for greater skill expression and DPS potential rather than a DPS loss like it is now. So no one has to complain about enemies attacking too much. It feels terrible every time you have to choose between dodging and damage. Especially when mobs are so difficult to stagger. It makes the combat feel less satisfying even if you're winning.
@@nottyseel949 agree, or they could overhaul the parry system so we can parry any attack just like Sekiro or dedicated block button. We still get the HP loss from the hit but we don't get launch 100km from the enemy.
The premise here feels fundamentally off. Right now, there's no compelling reason to stack both a healer and a shielder on the same team in Wuthering Waves. Shields already provide better survivability than healing in most situations, especially in the endgame, where managing uptime and positioning is far more critical than simply avoiding interruptions. Adding anti-interruption to shielders sounds nice on paper, but it wouldn’t solve the core issue: shields and healing overlap too much in their purpose without providing enough synergy. What’s really missing is variety. We need shield sets or abilities that enhance damage output, like the buffs healers get from their Echo sets. That would make shielders not just survivability options but also viable enablers in offensive team compositions. I get the frustration with the current mechanics, but the solution isn’t slapping anti-interruption onto everyone-it’s giving shielders a distinct and meaningful role. Until then, shields will remain situational at best.
There's also the issue that healers have an easily accessible offensive echo set, while there aren't any echo sets currently in the game that buff a character if they have a shield
i mean taoqi helped me clear inferno rider as her shield + a healer made me outsustain IR damage those char are not ment for damage increase, but for pure survival, though it'd be nice if they received a buff so they dont take as much field time as they do
this is a problem thats come up repeatedly with the rise of action rpgs. eventually it boils down to pushing damage as fast as possible with little to no sustain. be that shields, healing, mitigation skills, or building for passive resistances.
i love taoqi too, and her gameplay, the only thing i have , its how slow is to charge her outro skill. she takes literally forever and there is no way to accelerate that with sets or items. She is an amazing tank, and also dish out very good damage for a tank. Sadly she take way too much field time tho :/ as you said.
yeah. they need at least buff shielder to have concerto efficiency and make some content beneficial with shield (some lethal attack cannot be dodge). if the content just about clear time. everyone will just thinking about dmg and heal.
I feel like it's a risky hole to get down to, honestly. Of course, they could handle it well, but there is a chance that it causes more problems. Characters need to sell. So, especially endgame content, is often designed around selling the currently available characters. However, while DPS characters can be designed around certain damage types through buffs or enemy weaknesses, defensive units need you to take damage to have noticeable effect. That's why most characters currently either have buffs or some other utility. Problem is, if you want to "sell" defensive utility like shields or resistance to interruption, there is a chance that they offset it in some way. Look at Zhongli - first and busted shielder in Genshin, that basically allows you to not interact with enemies at all. So to counter him, you either need hyperspecific mechanics, or enemies that deal a ton of damage, or just plenty of enemies so you're almost guaranteed to get hit and interrupted - and the latter two is what's especially making Abyss in Genshin unfun most of the time. We already have some AoE chambers in WuWa and they don't feel particularily great to fight. Plus, if resistance to interruption is build into a support, other characters may be designed around not having said resistance in their kit, which will make them feel more unpleasant to play if you don't have the support (like Calcharo - if I were to guess, he was "playtested" with Yuanwu when it comes to his design). With that said, I think the best way, if any, is to have some resistance on some new echoes. Pretty sure turtle gives some resistance, enough to withstand a couple hits, and I think that's the best way to go around, since they don't have to be major (from selling characters) and they are accessible to everyone (instead of being tied to specific units). Plus, echoes are far more universal - the beauty in this game's combat is freedom in how you can mix and match characters, so it would be way better if you could slot an echo like that into a team you enjoy, instead of having to replace a character with one that you might not necessarily like.
Great addition. New echos can certainly make Jianxin and Taoqi a bit more viable in team building. The 2 piece could give some sonata effect could give a little bit of anti- interruption and the full set can be a damage buff.
@@itssenpai626 that could work too, although I was more thinking about active ones rather than a set bonus. Like how turtle gives 3 hits that you can tank through better. Maybe an echo that protects you with a Taoqi-like shield, and parries and counterattacks when hit (sort of like the sword, but more supportive and works on next character that you swap into). Generally it would be great to have more echoes with niche effects (like the one that creates a stagnant field). I think active effects like that can be more interesting than passive, plus there is less risk that content (enemies, mainly in tower) will shift towards demanding interruption resistance more.
I was thinking the same thing. Too much leeway and it might become a crutch. This game relies on you playing it to clear by having a bit of skill. Taking the urgency of dodging away can mess with that. Look at camellia. Play her wrong and you die
Another idea is to kinda limit the use of that echo set to specific units. Something like "After gaining/generating (could be one of those if they want to be even more niche) a shield, characters gain anti-interruption while the shield lasts". This way, the character equipped with the set must be one that can generate a shield, like Jianxin or Taoqi. Sprinkle in some "Gain 10% ATK" and we have a good shielding supportive set.
RUINED shield?. tbh I'd rather have something else other than "anti-interruption" that comes with Shield. It would rather have buffs that only active if you have a shield. Because it means that every shielder become useable. Healers has RejuvGlow Echo Set to buff allies, shielder should also have one.
I think Kuro's working to implement that. Healers in this game already provide damage buff, and damage dealers can support other damage dealers (like changli) so it wouldn't make sense to leave shielders out of that development. I think shielders have more room to exploit in future updates apart from anti-interruption
I have a theory: in an action game where you're supposed to getting better day by day till eventually not even been hit, every purely defensive element who works on numbers and not action (e.g. shield vs dodge) it will lose it's purpose as the end-game comes. It's worth for wuwa, where the best healer of the game is there essentially for her outro buff, as well as pgr, where a S-rank Support have never seen the light in 5 years of patches.
the utility that jinxing provide is so op she shield she heals and she boost ult dmg she makes my xiangli yao do from 130k to 220k ult opening she even so op in illusive realms yesterday i discovered this i did 2.7mil with her even more than my 2.1mil jinshi lol but ofc her biggest weakness is her shield take so much time to get and it gets fixed by her e6 if her e6 was in her base kit she easily gonna stay t0 meta unit for really long time i really love her she and carlotta (/s) was the reason i started the game i was so happy when i got her but after i read her kit i was so sad disappointed but am still using her am not a meta player and i can already clear all the content without pulling meta units
I thought about it a little and honestly, I think it has to come from an echo or an echo set. I wouldn't expect the fix to come in the form of a buff to shields. Significant buffs that would affect a wide variety of characters, both present and future, are rare to see and would need a lot of careful consideration. But the main issue with having anti-interrupt on an echo or echo set is that you kind of have to disincentivize healing characters that don't shield from just picking it up because of how good it could be. One thing I thought about was how SK has the Dodge charges on her Outro and I think having a limited number of anti-interrupt charges (instead of being infinite anti-interrupt if you have a shield) could be a way to go. Something like... Shield Echo Set 2/5 - Increase shield strength 5/5 - When user generates a shield, gain X (maybe like 3-5) instances of anti-interruption Seems like it could be a good balance between giving shielders something more without making shields too good.
We already have the second one. The bell gives three charges of interrupt res. It's also part of the energy regen set. Edit; It gives damage reduction. I was misremembering.
I personally like how the shields work, even Taoqi shield works fine if you are not worried about having the super perfect rotation (as in, if you don't need to wait to get her outro skill all the time)... her shield is very strong when built correctly and can be applied really fast, many times during the battle.... I know people like to see the most effective way possible and all that, but I find the game a lot more fun if you worry less about that and more about playing with units you enjoy
if sub dps amplifies dmg, shielders should be shredding resistance (like pgr) and/or accelerating the elemental ailments.Trust me the ailments do have effect on bosses but there is no icon to show us they exist and ailments from electro and glacio likely never happen because bosses immune to them and mobs die too fast to see the effects, also most of us are too busy doing the rotation so not many people notice the little dmg by other effects from aero, spectro, havoc and fusion.
Yet genshin makes dodging stamina a joke and those like me who hate shield 🛡️ can't dodge because NO STAMINA AND SLOW REGEN, even a 5 years old have more stamina than Genshin's most "athletic" characters...
@@chronopolize_jp It doesn’t have to be a 100% anti interruption. Keep in mind that yao and jiyan can still get interrupted in their liberation state. It enables players to still interact with the game by dodging and parrying but makes forte circuits more comfortable to use
I want more interruption resistance but not entire interruption resistance. My Jianxin kept getting knocked left right and center while charging her shield.
From what I've observed on using Jianxin a lot while channeling her forte to it's final stage, most Tacet Discords of 3~4 costs are capable of interruption depending on their attacks that may look like a heavy attack but sometimes in a weird way a great example of this is the lightcrusher having most of it's interrupting attacks at the last chain but it has a non-attack charge that just gets up close and just bumps you no dmg taken but it's a guaranteed stagger. I do hope they make bosses have this feature depending on their size where they can just stagger you but at the same time pray that it's not going to be too much
The point of Shielding isnt "CC Res". Its about raising your effective HP. I'll make an example about what i mean: Case 1 : You have 14000 HP. Enemy hit you for 14000 DMG. Assuming you have no Shield on. That means you d1e instantly. Not even healing can save you at that point unless Resurrection effect. Case 2 : You still have 14000 HP. You get hit by 14000 DMG but this time you have a 1HP Shield on. That 1HP difference kept you alive when normally you should have died Basically i think the how Jianxin Shield/Heal work perfectly fine. Her only problem is her long field time requirement which is kinda bad in time-gated content like ToA. If they release new Shielder, i just hope i can 1 tap = get all the Shield and Buffs at once then switch out. As in a unit that requires way less field time
This made me appreciate Jinhsi aerial style, for those who play her often, they know that after the rising dragon from her skill comes out, you have to use your grappling hook to stay in the air and continue the rest of the combo and finisher while simultaneously avoid most attacks being out of range, so with such a simple trick she covers her weakness and with an intro skill, her second weakness which is the basic attacks, this is why she's such an SS Tier character.
Ik in ur pinned comment u say u hope the current shields lacking interrupt resist doesn’t remain as a problem that will get fixed with limited characters, but that’s exactly what it will be…and in a gacha where original roster units getting powercrept is inevitable, this model will absolutely apply to shields. Also it is likely that the newer limited shielders will enable other buffs similar to SK/Verina since the shielder will most likely take up the sustainer spot on a comp. I expect they will also have new echo sets that will be bis for them. That being said jianxin n taoqi will not get “fixed” anytime soon, if ever at all. However it is possible later on since in pgr kuro created a system where old, powercrept units get new skills added to their kit to be unlocked which enable them to be more competitive alongside the newer stronger units. And even tho these old characters, even with new buffs, never quite match the value of the units which have powercrept them it is still a nice way to let them maintain at least some relevance as the game n characters’ power levels evolve. Time will tell if wuwa follows a similar path
Yes but wuwa has pretty creative and subtle so far with the monetization of creating problem and selling solution. At least a little more creative and subtle than what we are used to…….. Do I’m still coping, jianxin will shine one day at tier 0 ( inhales copium)
Prob just add an echo set that wants a shield active or just gained to gain a buff. That way the older characters stay relevant as stronger shielders solve pain points. Powercreep is inevitable, but it doesnt have to make characters unusable. Thats where combat depth in game makes up for character power
Addition of new echo sets can work as long as it doesn’t deviate from the abilities shield characters possess. Like Taoqi and Jianxin can heal as well so sonata effect can work in a way that uses those abilities as a trigger. Great addition
Jianxin s1 is a great improvement, would recommend. Around a 9-10 second rotation which isn't bad considering her damage potential (200-400k), shield and buff.
Senpai, do you think youll make a video for what a Wuwa beginner should be doing when first starting. I feel like a lot of new players will join with the 2.0 update, so maybe a video like that would be pretty helpful for them. Like a video of what they should focus on early on like focusing on using rsources on the Main DPS first, stuff like that
Just wait for new set of echoes in 2.0 Rinascita maybe the sets for shield & more precise gimmick user will be available. In future updates there will be more Humanoid enemies that can parry our attacks like Scar. And the shield serves to prevent us from being disturbed and staggered by it while doing combo.
i suppose i'm not the average player with my maxed lv90 Taoqi. She goes well with Danjin fast concerto generation and you can swap cancel out of her long attack animations. The shield also enables you to play way more aggressively with Danjin, not fearing dying to a stray bullet.
If you play danjin, you are not an average player. At the moment, the shield kind of acts as extra hp which is more viable in holograms but kind of useless in the Tower even if you can regenerate it faster because of knock-back. The whole point of the video is that it doesn’t make any sense to dodge every attack if you have a shield. That’s I recommend a bit of anti-interruption. Not too broken but enough to pair with the little amount that the game gives certain characters abilities like Chixia’s daka daka state. You can tank a bit of damage that way to get your damage in
I feel like having future characters be the "fix" is a bad solution and fairly short sighted. The issue wouldn't be fixed then as it would still persist all the same with the previous characters and that's still a problem. One of the big downsides for Shielders is that any damage taken is effectively permanent since they don't recover HP, or at least shouldn't, so in order for a downside like that to be worthwhile there needs to be a positive. Currently there isn't an upside as it does quite literally nothing at all. Shields are temporary even, so even if you take no damage it'll go away on its own and that kind of downtime is dangerous when damage received would be permanent. Frankly Kuro needs to redesign how shields work and how the characters that generate those shields work from the ground-up, but that kind of change is something they will never do. They'll instead just make a character that "solves" the issue. A limited character that fixes the issues would then be the only functional shielder, leaving the rest broken I have a similar stance about how the guns function. Due to how their heavy attacks work they can't interact with the parry mechanic at all and similarly being in the air with them is frankly miserable due to a severe lack of mobility, but it'll never change and never be improved upon. Albeit it's not good to say "never" since there is always a chance, but I don't know a single gacha game that actually tries to go for these kinds of overhauls.
Well said. At the moment shields feel kind of useless. It has no benefit in TOA and players that are good at the game do not even need it in holograms. I just hope kuro does something about it in the future
to be honest? they need to do just TWO small fixes on them. ONE , Taoqi need a MUCH MUCH faster recovery of concerto energy , she takes forever to load the bar for the outro skill. That would entirely fix her, because when she uses the intro she brings a full forte bar = damage she already mitigate a LOT of damage while countering, the shield is just a plus. While for Jinxin, the PRESS E, animation should be at least double the speed. I understand taichi is slow and cool, but as gameplay it sucks she stays in field way too long to give a heal+shield. and then leave-. Fix these 2 things and those 2 will be S class , both of them.
Though too much shield and resistance to interuption can be a problem, because you can go unga bunga and skip the interaction with combat mechanics. I dont think wuwa is even close to that. Healers heal too litle, you can't comfortably take hits anyway. Shealders bring too little to the table, let them have at least that feature. You lose time and damage by including them to the team. Or at least introduce some new mode, where you can fight without timer, and defencive playstile is viable.
Yea Taoqi is my favorite 4s and i noticed how this game doesn’t reward you for favoring shielders over healers by lacking proper echo set for them as well how much time you waste to optimize their shields like Taoqi relying on intros for quick shields and outro buff.
I was so happy when i got jianxin on day one and realised she could shield. Then i tanked some mobs and kept getting knocked around and left her alone ever since afhdkndn
Maybe brant being a pirate might have anti intereption as ships rock a lot and pirates or in general sailors build a lot of balance, alsomit would be lore accurate hahahah
the problem is not the lack of anti interruption. The problem is the same as in Genshin -> after being hit your char flies 5 meters away, drops on his ass and then stands up and walks to the enemy. Cong you just lost 2.5 sec watching animations while timer ticks. If for example after hit you are staggered for .05 sec and just step back 1-2 m like Clacharo did in the video it will not be an issue. Also the worst feeling is when the enemy combo you Xd Yuanwu on def + ER build is great against holograms while you earn their moveset. with Geochelone + Yuanwu + SK I did beat last diff first try on the kickboxer hologram by facetanking and outhealing his dmg
IMO if shield lowers the interruption level of enemy attacks to a minimum of ground staggers instead of negating interruption completely, it could work. Enemy grabs are still fair games though. Should've dodge or parry that. Note that some attack should completely ignore anti-interruption since Scar's Card Prison Explosion requires the target to be sent flying in the air. It's kinda like a grab but not really. for Tower of Adversity, I'm wondering if there should be performance-based stars instead of just time-based stars. For example, "Do not get hit 15 times" for 1 star, or "No Resonator defeated" for 1 star. The stars required per stage would still be 3 but the performance stars would at least be there for those who really couldn't do optimal rotations for maximum damage.
The tower idea is an interesting concept🤔. Wuwa does not have that many endgame modes so it’s possible for them to implement such a thing in the future
As of right now, shield and healing are completely useless since in toa the enemies don't do any damage and holograms have 1 shot attacks anyway and the bell echo is overall better than both healers and shielders. A pure support/sub dps will always be better than a sustain
Will there be a time where we will be having a Zhongli type char. in Wuwa? Like it will be profitable to casuals, and maybe some restrictions to not making too op coz if it will be in the near future, like in the next region, I dunno, maybe too early bec. we can still manage get around some problems in TOA especially in the growing rosters or perhaps new echoes making it viable
nah the problem with the shielder is that they don't have good buff and a good echo set that gives buff you can't have shielder+ healer because y Loss Alot of dmg and y can't have shielder alone because y Loss Alot of bugf that healers gives they need a set that gives dmg buff to active character and it needs to be massive buff
WuWa has tons of ways to ensure your character doesn't take damage making anti-interruption a little less important -parries -perfect dodges -dodge counters -vibration break -time stop (S. Rover) -slows time(Xiangli Yao) -aerial maneuverability (Jinhsi,Zhezhi,Changli,Camellya) -utilizing grappling hook in battle to avoid attacks -echoes that gives mobility or special gimmicks So unfortunately shields with anti-iterrupt are the least important combat mechanic in WuWa as there are tons of other things which can be used to survive or deal more damage, I'm not against them making shields with anti interruption viable it's just that it still won't be favorable over dodging/parrying/dodge counter In short, what doesn't hit you won't interrupt you
I think shields with a little bit of anti-interruption is necessary to have a smooth gameplay experience with characters like chixia or calcharo. It doesn’t have to be 100% or broken but it should be on a level where you can use it to do big damage over a short period of time if dodging prevents characters from using their forte
Can someone tell me what th is ruined means. Literally every wuwa video title nowadays says wuwa ruined f2p, wuwa ruined the story..... but when i click on the video there's no "ruined= messed up". What is this phrase? Idk english 🗿
It’s mostly used the opposite way as a click bait😄. So if the video says wuwa ruined f2p, it means that f2p is better in wuwa. In my case, it perfectly fits the video since shielders need a buff in the current state of the game
"Jiyan is more comfortable than Jinhsi." 😂 Nahh with all the shits we have to do like double intro, stacking concerto before doing real rotation, ill even pick Encore team as more comfortable
Trust me when i say Jiyan will still be the goat on wuwa😄. While your encore is chasing down mob enemies, Jiyan will be pulling each one of them and doing damage at the same time
Only two charecters with in built anti interruption ? And they are male? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. . But one thought after this I got was…. That ToA is flawed….. Like interruption is a cool concept, same with anti interruption like dodging not only to not take damage but also dish out consistent and more dmg But in the current ToA between damage , anti interruption , AoE, undoubtedly damage is the one that is heavily preferred since we want lower clear times, AoE next and such is the meta but this way, when people think of interruption they think of it as annoyance that when it happens it messes up the rotation tbh tho people would still think of it as an anoyance but if we got an endgame mode that wasn’t fully focused on dishing out dmg and somehow rewarded actively being aware of anti interruption and interruption then I think it would be revolutionary. Tho idk how this can be achieved…….
@@itssenpai626 I have her s1 and i still not use the free 5 star ticket, if i get one copy of Encore before ticket expires i plan to use for Jianxin s2. I recently built Camellya and Sanhua and double drop event interrupt the process but i farm her skill mats before 2.0 drop. Sorry for my poor English.
Yes it's kinda weird combat design, in any action game gacha or not when we use/have shield we get interruption resistant by default. I hope wuwa not going to use similar scummy tactic like 99% gacha that lock qol behind paywall.
well any developer of gacha game will be doing that garbage skills(some of them) on 1-4 star characters then they will be implement character copies or character fragments. so that character will be good in team comps. welp thats marketing for their game to profit big.
Wait what 😂 Not only thumbnail but even intro sounds a bit like saintonas……. Is this some sort wait now that I think about it….. even the title…… Am I imaging it Is it a coincidence? Or is it a trend cuz even poke did it Lmao whatever it is it’s funny Ngl I’m probably imaging the similaritIt’s and it’s likely just a coincidence…… or is it?
Not really😄. I got a few comments from my previous videos saying that I talk a bit fast in my videos which is my natural manner of speaking IRL so i had to improvise and talk a bit slower. And for the thumbnail, it’s not that different from my usual ones. It’s only the text colour gradient that has changed. It has nothing to do with saintontas😄
Please :( as an italian.. i'm in huge pain when ANY content creator says Rinascita. Use google translate, and click on the audio icon after typing "rinascita" So you will know how to say it >.< Wuwa has a lot of italian words, nobody even gets 10% correct , and italian is EASY to read, its not english , all the letters are read as they are, no pronunciation needed aside the "gli" one. (like in Tartgaglia)
It depends on the level of anti-interruption shielders get if they get fixed. Jiyan and Yao get anti- interruption but it’s not 100% because they can still get interrupted when attacking in their liberation.
I highly disagree on adding blatant anti-interruption in the game. Maybe a limited few is ok like Shorekeeper's butterfly thing where you can cancel interruption or whatever Chrome Glory from PGR does or maybe adding a clear limit like anti-interruption but only for 1 single attack every 10 seconds or aomething. But please not something like Zhongli's shield. It will trivialize literally all content in the game.
There are different levels of anti-interruption so kuro can buff shielders by either giving them small amount or giving your team a damage boost if a shield is used. We don’t need zhongli levels of anti interruption😄. That way you can still dodge but only tank a few damage when you’re in chixia’s daka daka state for example because she really needs it
Keep in mind that there are different levels of anti-interruption. Calcharo gains a very high amount when using a death messenger and chixia gains a tiny amount in her daka daka state. The one I suggest for shields doesn’t have to be broken like Zhongli’s shield but should be enough for the characters i mentioned to properly use their forte circuit
The problem is that I'm a mobile user and well.... the gameplay is absolutely shit in mobile 💀 that's why I need a good shielder, cuz I'll break my phone cuz of it's shitty gameplay
Bro. Seems you forgot turtle echo because its 'replaced' by Fallacy. Its literally have dmg red 50%, anti interupt, and even dmg boost. We dont need new op shielders shits at all
I think you’re a bit confused about how the game actually works. If you had the turtle shield on you while taking damage and your character took the damage without being sent flying, it’s that particular animation your character did that had a bit of anti-interruption not the bellborne shield. An example is calcharo’s death messenger. Try not to get confused with that
Almost thought it wss a saintonas video by the thumbnail But yeah i agree shielders kinda useless........ Im the ToA that is They are pretty good in hologram i believe ( not that i have built wny sheilder) anyway this is a comment before i watched the video, imma watch the video later gotta study for now
Hard disagree. Every single Transformation Echo provides anti-interruption. So, the thesis that this is op and exclusive to powerful units is false. Additionally, Jinhsi and Cammelya DO have interruption resistance. Jinhsi during her flying stance. Cammy when casting her nuke. Furthermore, the existence of a shield does not demand the character to become unable to be pushed back or interrupted. If Genshin works that way, that would explain why shields are op in Genshin. Stop expecting all games to be Genshin. If you want Genshin mechanics, go back to play Genshin. It is that simple. Downvoted.
Bro relax, i never mentioned genshin in the video😂. I literally gave you a showcase of how Camellia’s forte skill can get interrupted yet you still had the time to comment that she has anti interruption. Your whole comment proves that you could not comprehend anything i said in the video. It’s okay to disagree but leave these things to people who actually spend time to play the game and test things out
@itssenpai626 Fault! Ald hominem! 10 yards! You don't need to mention a game to reference it or its mechanics. You saying somethibg that is incorrect does not give you a pass because you are "someone who plays". In fact, you being "someone who plays" makes it even more important to point out where you are wrong. Because you are spreading incorrect information. Your thesis that Interrupt Resistance is reserved for top-level characters was easily debunked. Making shields automatically provide that resistance would make that particular meta op in comparison to healing, which, as you said, promotes "turning your brain off". WuWa is not a game for you to "ulturn your brain off", and that is why mamy of us enjoy it. I repeat: If you don't like the game as it is, you can go play something else. Stop trying to turn this game into something it is not.
Isn't that the whole point of the gameplay? That is why there's a vibration strength and a downtime for enemies (except small ones ofc). It is why you need to dish out your full dmg only during downtime. You can do it while enemies are moving but ofc you need to dodge. Haven't you guys noticed that there's a lot of time left in TOA after you clear it with a full team? Giving a character with enhance anti-interruption kills the game's purpose. Since you also mentioned Chixia, you don't use her Daka Daka if you are unsure you'll reach the forte guage for boom boom. 🤦 This is why they added such high scaling for her dodge counter to dish dmg with moving enemies. Studying enemy's moveset is what's interesting in the game. Studying their downtime in dishing out dmg then you can use her Daka Daka or when you destroy their vibration strength. There are a lot of resonators like her too. This is why Aalto is so unique because of his taunt, he doesn't need anti-interruption for this purpose. So, instead of a dedicated shielder with resistance to interruption, giving characters more unique survival features is better in my opinion.
I don’t think giving chixia a high dodge counter scaling makes up for her how difficult it is to use boom boom as survival feature if you’re playing in a full team. Chixia mains can relate with this considering how aggressive bosses can be. And NO, giving characters anti-interruption does not kill the game’s purpose. It does only if the devs increase it to absurd levels like zhongli for example. Jiyan and yao can still get interrupted even though they get anti-interruption when their liberation is active. It all depends on how the devs handle it to give shielders a place in the meta
@@itssenpai626 I main Chixia and Changli, you don't speak for everyone. If you want to play her, use her forte around downtime windows. There's a time when you can use it even if bosses are moving around. Even when you dodge as long as you reach the forte guage for boom boom you can still cast it. It's all about taking the time to study these down time. For example: Beringal walks around after his atk hitting the ground 3 times. By that time you can dish out 2 of her Daka Daka. And you're wrong about the dodge counter because she's got the easiest dodge counter and one of the highest scaling as well so it helps with her damage. There are also atks from Memphis that does not stagger her so you can also use her daka daka up to boom boom. It's all about playing it right. And again, if you want to deal 100% of her damage then you can do that after you destroy enemy vibration strength. That's the whole point of the vibration strength along with lower defense. This could be said for Jiyan as well, you need to dodge even with that anti-interruption. "Oh it will reduce your dmg over time." That's exactly how the game is supposed to be. You can just deal 100% of his damage when the vibration strength is depleted. That's why the parry and intro skill exists, to deplete it faster. Nothing too difficult about it.
@ I certainly do not speak for everyone but only from experience. I’m familiar with all the boss down times you mentioned and they are viable but let’s be honest, it better implemented when up against holograms because waiting for downtimes before you pop your forte will reduce her dps in the tower.
Shield and anti-interruption will ruin a game like Wuwa. I'm sorry, but we've already have an example of this in Genshin Impact. When Zhongli was meta, you could ignore 90% of the game and focus on blasting a room with impunity. The argument that "It's better for casual players" isn't a good one, since it won't just affect just that playerbase. I'm a filthy casual, I can't even do quick swaps, but I have adapted to Wuwa's gameplay and I'm under the belief that shields and heals are incredibly unnecessary in Wuwa because of the universal ability to dodge. If you're basing the requirement of anti-interruption because of ToA, ToA is considered by many to be such a flawed game mode already and is not indicative of any gameplay mechanics required. When people ask for a "Healer", you're not really asking for something to top off your HP. You're really asking for someone who can buff your main DPS in a rotation without being as field heavy as a DPS and a sub-dps/hybrid. We only have 3 healers and nobody really cares how much they heal. You really want their outro buff. The reason SK is the top healer is because she also deals damage and has a better buff, while Baizhi requires you to pick up the bubble to gain additional buffs (Which is a DPS loss overall)
@@dagewastaken7236 it depends on the level of anti interruption that gets implemented. I’m not asking for a 100% like zhongli 😄. Remember that jiyan and Yao can still get interrupted by certain attacks by enemies but they can tank some attacks as well.
Anti-Interruption shields making Lingyang's S1 obsolete would be so funny.

Taoqi and Jianxing do heal, so they trigger the healer buff set.
Yuanwu : Sorry, what about my ability to destroys Vibration strength 🗿
😄
i mean taoqi helped me clear inferno rider as her shield + a healer made me outsustain IR damage
those char are not ment for damage increase, but for pure survival, though it'd be nice if they received a buff so they dont take as much field time as they do
this is a problem thats come up repeatedly with the rise of action rpgs. eventually it boils down to pushing damage as fast as possible with little to no sustain. be that shields, healing, mitigation skills, or building for passive resistances.
fr Taoqi saved my ass clearing the last level depth of illusive with her 5000 def😭
i love taoqi too, and her gameplay, the only thing i have , its how slow is to charge her outro skill. she takes literally forever and there is no way to accelerate that with sets or items.
@@patrickgrady7047 cannot be dodged but if you time it right with the burst you can "immune frame" dodge them XD
I agree completely
A shield focused Echo set? Interesting, ngl. I think the 2-set bonus should be DEF
ho ho ho ho mate that all i have to say
That works as well
I think Kuro's working to implement that.
It's worth for wuwa, where the best healer of the game is there essentially for her outro buff, as well as pgr, where a S-rank Support have never seen the light in 5 years of patches.
the utility that jinxing provide is so op she shield she heals and she boost ult dmg she makes my xiangli yao do from 130k to 220k ult opening
she even so op in illusive realms yesterday i discovered this i did 2.7mil with her even more than my 2.1mil jinshi lol
but ofc her biggest weakness is her shield take so much time to get and it gets fixed by her e6
if her e6 was in her base kit she easily gonna stay t0 meta unit for really long time
i really love her she and carlotta (/s) was the reason i started the game i was so happy when i got her but after i read her kit i was so sad disappointed but am still using her am not a meta player and i can already clear all the content without pulling meta units

I do mostly pure gameplay Analysis😄
saintontas mentioned 🗣🔥
I thought this was one of those too lol
@@Condensed_rock nope😄. I mostly cover advanced characters guides but also share my thoughts on the current state of the game.
Shield Echo Set
2/5 - Increase shield strength
5/5 - When user generates a shield, gain X (maybe like 3-5) instances of anti-interruption
Seems like it could be a good balance between giving shielders something more without making shields too good.
We already have the second one. The bell gives three charges of interrupt res. It's also part of the energy regen set.
Edit; It gives damage reduction. I was misremembering.
Yes that can work as well👍🏽

I think it's good. In genshin when you have a strong enough shield you literally don't interact with the game

Only if the sentinel takes human form and becomes playable
I'll make an example about what i mean:
Case 1 : You have 14000 HP.
That 1HP difference kept you alive when normally you should have died
Basically i think the how Jianxin Shield/Heal work perfectly fine.
Hi
Anti interrup/super armor would be good but maybe too much. Shields coming with dmg buffs seems like an easy solution that doesn’t get out of hand.
Like a video of what they should focus on early on like focusing on using rsources on the Main DPS first, stuff like that
Sure. I’ll keep that in mind
You can tank a bit of damage that way to get your damage in
It kinda sucks that Camellya can auto parry during her basic attacks but Jianxin can’t during her heavy attack. Feels like a massive oversight.
I’m sure she can but I haven’t tested it so I can’t verify it
I feel like having future characters be the "fix" is a bad solution and fairly short sighted.
A limited character that fixes the issues would then be the only functional shielder, leaving the rest broken
I have a similar stance about how the guns function.
Fix these 2 things and those 2 will be S class , both of them.
shielder on wuwa maybe depends on new boss. if the boss on future have massive damage and fast move set, defender will meta
Or at least introduce some new mode, where you can fight without timer, and defencive playstile is viable.
it would be really cool if characters having shields can reduce toughness by a certain percentage in enemies upon intro skill
vibration strength
I hope Kuro doesn’t pull a Aventurine on us 😭 looking at HSR, preservation is completely ruined cause of him.
Kuro gonna either make a character that have an outro with anti interruption or reworks shielders
That’s what I’m hoping for
Just wait till they release an OP shielder, kuro gonna make some real money
Yea Taoqi is my favorite 4s and i noticed how this game doesn’t reward you for favoring shielders over healers by lacking proper echo set for them as well how much time you waste to optimize their shields like Taoqi relying on intros for quick shields and outro buff.
Just release a new Echo Set which provides Anti Interruption for Shields (additionaly with a Buff for the Shield or the onfield Char)
Yeah that works as well👍🏽
Can we make “WuWa ruined” an official WuWa meme at this point lol
5:49 this gets me rolling everytime 😂
I was so happy when i got jianxin on day one and realised she could shield. Then i tanked some mobs and kept getting knocked around and left her alone ever since afhdkndn
Maybe brant being a pirate might have anti intereption as ships rock a lot and pirates or in general sailors build a lot of balance, alsomit would be lore accurate hahahah
Possibly😄
the problem is not the lack of anti interruption.
Also the worst feeling is when the enemy combo you Xd
Yuanwu on def + ER build is great against holograms while you earn their moveset. with Geochelone + Yuanwu + SK I did beat last diff first try on the kickboxer hologram by facetanking and outhealing his dmg
We need def echo with anti-interuption
Wuwa does not have that many endgame modes so it’s possible for them to implement such a thing in the future
bro said character to ignore mechanics. i like that shields are just extra hp in this game cause it makes you still have to dodge
for a moment i thought i was on saintontas
i need a crit rate 2 hand sword that gives 50% def as bonus when taking damage. :O
My taoqi really wants one.
As of right now, shield and healing are completely useless since in toa the enemies don't do any damage and holograms have 1 shot attacks anyway and the bell echo is overall better than both healers and shielders.
A pure support/sub dps will always be better than a sustain
Waiting for jianxin to be meta, next resonator will convert shield into damage.. (Inhale copium)
The cope is strong in this one
Will there be a time where we will be having a Zhongli type char. in Wuwa? Like it will be profitable to casuals, and maybe some restrictions to not making too op coz if it will be in the near future, like in the next region, I dunno, maybe too early bec. we can still manage get around some problems in TOA especially in the growing rosters or perhaps new echoes making it viable
@@araara6673 Probably not but they could give some amount of anti-interruption to shields or buff your characters if you generate a shield.
@itssenpai626 ya, that could work if Kuro decided to give char. flexibility
I doubt wuwa will release any shield chars in 2.0. most of them looks like main/sub dps, if there gonna be a healer, it might be buffer type
nah the problem with the shielder is that they don't have good buff and a good echo set that gives buff
you can't have shielder+ healer because y Loss Alot of dmg and y can't have shielder alone because y Loss Alot of bugf that healers gives they need a set that gives dmg buff to active character and it needs to be massive buff
Camellya gets it on her S1 if I'm not wrong
WuWa has tons of ways to ensure your character doesn't take damage making anti-interruption a little less important
-parries
-perfect dodges
-dodge counters
-vibration break
-time stop (S. Rover)
-slows time(Xiangli Yao)
-aerial maneuverability (Jinhsi,Zhezhi,Changli,Camellya)
-utilizing grappling hook in battle to avoid attacks
-echoes that gives mobility or special gimmicks
So unfortunately shields with anti-iterrupt are the least important combat mechanic in WuWa as there are tons of other things which can be used to survive or deal more damage, I'm not against them making shields with anti interruption viable it's just that it still won't be favorable over dodging/parrying/dodge counter
In short, what doesn't hit you won't interrupt you
I think shields with a little bit of anti-interruption is necessary to have a smooth gameplay experience with characters like chixia or calcharo. It doesn’t have to be 100% or broken but it should be on a level where you can use it to do big damage over a short period of time if dodging prevents characters from using their forte
I think the easiest solution is to give an echo set that focus on shield that can provide some anti interuption?😅
Yeah that works fine too😄
maybe I'm just used to hi3 characters excelling at this but I think wuwa also needs better suction abilities cuz the current ones are kinda bad.
Boss here hits like a truck, I prefer to dodge than received the damage so basically anti interruption kinda not important.
We will never satisfy unless we can one shot one kill on world bossses😂

But in the current ToA between damage , anti interruption , AoE, undoubtedly damage is the one that is heavily preferred since we want lower clear times, AoE next and such is the meta but this way, when people think of interruption they think of it as annoyance that when it happens it messes up the rotation tbh tho people would still think of it as an anoyance but if we got an endgame mode that wasn’t fully focused on dishing out dmg and somehow rewarded actively being aware of anti interruption and interruption then I think it would be revolutionary.
Tho idk how this can be achieved…….
Yuanwu provides resistance and it's better than shield
Maybe sonata set for shielders like tenacity solve the problem.
Yeah that can work
@@itssenpai626 I have her s1 and i still not use the free 5 star ticket, if i get one copy of Encore before ticket expires i plan to use for Jianxin s2.
Definitely not a clickbaity thumbnail.
Nope
Well, life ain't perfect... 🙃
Wait what 😂 Not only thumbnail but even intro sounds a bit like saintonas……. Is this some sort wait now that I think about it….. even the title……
Am I imaging it
Is it a coincidence?
Or is it a trend cuz even poke did it
Lmao whatever it is it’s funny
Ngl I’m probably imaging the similaritIt’s and it’s likely just a coincidence…… or is it?
Not really😄. I got a few comments from my previous videos saying that I talk a bit fast in my videos which is my natural manner of speaking IRL so i had to improvise and talk a bit slower. And for the thumbnail, it’s not that different from my usual ones. It’s only the text colour gradient that has changed. It has nothing to do with saintontas😄
Please :( as an italian.. i'm in huge pain when ANY content creator says Rinascita.
Use google translate, and click on the audio icon after typing "rinascita" So you will know how to say it >.<
Wuwa has a lot of italian words, nobody even gets 10% correct , and italian is EASY to read, its not english , all the letters are read as they are, no pronunciation needed aside the "gli" one. (like in Tartgaglia)
Save shields. No. Kuro has a very nasty history with shielders. They dont like them.
I hope this is never changed.
I remember what happen after zhongli in genshin. The game became the biggest joke ever. Unkillable forever.
That way you can still dodge but only tank a few damage when you’re in chixia’s daka daka state for example because she really needs it
We can't have anti mechanic characters. It'll be zhongli all over again.
Itssenpai posted again, never clicked so fast. 😊
Glad you did❤️
Don't need zhongli in WuWa. Please make game somewhat skill check!
Try not to get confused with that
Almost thought it wss a saintonas video by the thumbnail
But yeah i agree shielders kinda useless........ Im the ToA that is
They are pretty good in hologram i believe ( not that i have built wny sheilder) anyway this is a comment before i watched the video, imma watch the video later gotta study for now
Hard disagree.
It’s okay to disagree but leave these things to people who actually spend time to play the game and test things out
@itssenpai626 Fault!
00:35 bro, are you a prydwen kid or a jenshin impact player?
I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean
@@itssenpai626 I guess both then
Praying for echo set "shield produced by this character give interruption resistance"
add cesar from ZZZ
The reason SK is the top healer is because she also deals damage and has a better buff, while Baizhi requires you to pick up the bubble to gain additional buffs (Which is a DPS loss overall)
i strongly agree. its gonna be like all u have to do is shield and braindead spam attack. its make game more boring that way
@@dagewastaken7236 it depends on the level of anti interruption that gets implemented. I’m not asking for a 100% like zhongli 😄. Remember that jiyan and Yao can still get interrupted by certain attacks by enemies but they can tank some attacks as well.
just pull s6 jianxin ez
I’m working on it🤧
Nice
I thought there's a Saintontas Video on my feed and was about to get mad (i don't like the guy. Glazes a lil too much)
It’s just your regular Senpai😄
I almost blocked your channel cuz I thought Saintontas infected my feed again
Fr💀 saintonBOT is so annoying to the point I hide his channel from my search history, but don't worry, it's just the regular senpai 🙂👍
It’s just me bro😄
We need shield Eco set🎉. Nice video
Yeah I hope Kuro adds that soon. It could really help the shield characters we currently have
Tanking in a game where bosses can one shot u nice joke
That’s the case with holograms. ToA is more forgiving when it comes to tanking hits
@ only 2 hits in toa
