EP has been amazing. I did think Hyundai would get 2 cars on a podium. But I was wrong on Sordo and Lappi. I stil think Neuvile will get past Evans though,
A little surprised about Ogier's pace, but I guess the Toyota's slow gravel struggles haven't been resolved yet. I also think he'll pick up the pace on Saturday and beat Lappi. Plus EP is way too agressive for Mexico and still has a mistake in him every now and then, so I won't be surprised if he makes a big mistake or gets a puncture or breaks the car.
On M-Sport, I've been completely right and Dirtfish has always been wrong. There was so much hype about them pre-Monte, and I commented very clearly that M-Sport is not only way beind on performance, they also have by far the least reliable car. I was right. Sweden was a bit of Ott's magic, aided by a pre-event local rally in Estonia. And Ott won Sweden on intelligence, not on pure speed. Monte and Mexico have shown where the team really are - losing to WRC2 cars is an absolute joke, regardless of road position. Ott will now drop down to 5th and it would be mad to still think that he has a chance for the title. I'm very sad and really hate the fact I was right.
Looks like I was right on Lappi being too agressive and making a mistake. The sad pattern repeats again.
And although Neuville's still behind Evans, the gap has narrowed considerably and I still expect him to get past the welshman, despite Elfyn doing well.
Shouldn't have worried about Ogier though. You can't beat him in rallies where neat, smooth riving and good tyre management is key. He's the ultimate master and was always bound to win again in Mexico.
I commented at the beginning of the year on one of Dirtfish preseason predictions videos that EP would outshine TN. Glad it’s happening! I think Hyundai has made a mistake with keeping TN. He’s had his chance to produce a championship and it has not happened. Even with all the team helping him try to win it won’t happen. Also think it was in poor taste for him not to help OT last year no matter who you want to blame for the decision. TN was behind the wheel and had ultimate control over that decision. Also think it was a huge mistake for Hyundai to drop future talent like Oliver Solberg. Short sighted IMO.
I still think OT could win championship but not if M-sport can’t deliver a good car to him.

Hyundai seems to be really good car on these conditions. Also surprisingly Sordo is the only one who has struggled out all of Hyundai drivers
