Finally, the most essential video on seamlessly working with LR Classic between your desktop and macbook while keeping everything up to date. I've spent weeks and months trying to understand it all. Thank you immensely for the detailed explanation on exporting and importing catalogs. No one has ever addressed this so comprehensively, and you managed to cover it all in a single video. I truly appreciate it.

All and all a super helpful video, thank you very much for sharing this in such detail, it has helped me massively to dust off on some old knowledge as well.
For all the people in the comments that cant follow this, you are actually impatient and inflexible. This is a very detailed process and sometimes you need to be patient and go with the flow of the person explaining, then by the end you will understand everything, unless you are after quick fixes, this is not one of them, this is a process.

I enjoyed that. For Part 2 - here is the challenge I see with the Lr/LrC/Cloud workflow … it’s what I call “The Cruise Ship” problem…..where you are in an area, like a ship, in a non-home-base-continent-hotel, on a Safari such as a lodge in Africa-where the Internet is effectively non-existent or limited or incredibly expensive to use. If you shoot a lot of raws - you will have issues running up against the 20GB limit on the $9.99 plan and potentially difficult sync’ing problem once you DO get back to high-speed/unlimited Internet. The Lr/LrC/Cloud workflow also has a lot of thorny issues such as where the raw is really located; from which app you use to truly delete an image; smart preview locations vs raw original locations and so forth. A lot of thorny problems here and scenarios. Some issues to think about.

Being prepared and having this structured would be better.

Way too much extraneous, off topic, asides confusing the basic question being addressed…”what if….blah blah…”. Would be better addressing basic process the come back to the other possible scenarios at another time.
