‘Written in Anger’ starts with a reference to Hammersmith underpass which is now filled in, but as a teenager I would busk there. At the time the underpass led up to Hammersmith Odeon and the major record companies that glistened like a light at the end of the tunnel.
Although some have suggested this song is autobiographical, it is in fact based on a number of different people, and tells a story of a young angry man who from modest beginnings becomes successful through his music, choosing to send a destructive message that ricochets through the world even beyond his death.

Damian is one of the very few singers I have ever heard (and fortunately seen) who can cover every genre of music
be it semi classical through to rock and everything in between. Not only covers that wide spectrum but does so
amazingly well. I have heard a lot of semi classical singers try their hand at rock and the results make me cringe,
Damian is an absolute gem.
