@@endersdragon34 We prefer the old-school Scooby-Doo, better.
Watching the smurfs, Jetsons, Scooby-doo, Tom and Jerry and the flintstones was my favorite part of my childhood
I've watched them all!
The Hanna-Barbera cartoon era was a golden age for animation! So many of these classic cartoons are what made our childhood worth it, The talented artists, Animators and voice actors that brought these cartoons to life all did amazing work!
Scooby Doo and the Smurfs were my favourite Saturday morning cartoons, and I have fond memories of waking up early to watch them.
Did you hear about the cheese factory that exploded in France?
There was nothing left but de Brie.
Shut up
The era when cartoons created timeless fun, and are still as amazing as ever!!!!❤❤❤❤
I watched "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" on weekdays and "The Smurfs" on DVD as a kid!
@@PeePeeMilk why don't you
Hanna-Barbera was truly the best at cartoons. There was even a Hanna-Barbera produced version of The Count of Monte Cristo. And some of the best 90s era Cartoon Network cartoons were also produced by Hanna-Barbera.
Why were they called the “dark ages?”
BECAUSE THERE WERE ALOT OF NIGHTS
@Funny.Man101 if that's a line from the Hanna-Barbera produced The Count of Monte Cristo, I didn't actually watch it. I just know of it.
William Hanna and Joseph Barbera: Legends
Indeed.
You’re watching Boomerang from Cartoon Network
I Would pay Decent Money if it Returned as a Streamer.
Whoever picked that thumbnail is demented. I respect that person.
Those 2 in the thumbnail are so cute
Hanna Barbera Was 1/3 of my childhood. The other 2 where looney tunes and Power rangers. So seeing this video is pure nostalgia.
Scooby-Doo and a majority of its spin offs will always be my favorite. Particularly a pup named Scooby-Doo and what’s new Scooby-Doo
What’s New Scooby doo is so good, honorable mention, Scooby-Doo mystery Incorporated. But the lastest series Scooby Doo and guess who had me dying on the Batman episode.
I've seen them all!

Tom and Jerry won a butt load of Oscars back in the day
Actually tying the record of the number of Oscars that Disney's Silly Symphonys won. Both had 7 wins.
I've watched it!
I am in shock
Thanks Watchmojo For The Top 10 Hanna-Barbera Cartoons Of All Time.
What’s the difference between a hippo and a zippo?
One is really heavy and the other’s a little lighter.
I was waiting for Watchmojo to do this for a long time. Finally they got round to it 😀
@@NathanL11 Thanks!
So much nostalgia in this video. Thanks for taking me back!
I totally agree 💯 Percent! 🙂👍🏼
Tom and Jerry is my #1 all time favorite.
I watch them all the time.
Mine too
Same here. I remember my family used to have DirecTV and I watched Boomerang just for Tom and Jerry when I was a kid. Thank goodness we now have Tubi so I can watch these classic Tom and Jerry shorts.
I have full episode of old tom and jerry videos
In one disc😊
Pecos Pest is the GOAT episode of T&J. I love Uncle Pecos
"CUH CUH CUH......CRAMBONNNNNNNNNE!!"
They received 7 oscars, but are still at number 3? They were snubbed.
I really wish The Smurfs would be released on DVD in the USA if I could I’d buy the entire series.
I also wish for that. I would spend all day on the TV
1. Space Ghost and Dino Boy
2. Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels
3. Dynomutt Dog Wonder
4. Hong Kong Phooey
5. Laff-a-Lympics
Spaaaaace Ghooooooooost
Coast to coast
Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy
Loved them!
And how could we forget Birdman and the Galaxy Trio?
Always preferred "The Jetsons" to "The Flintstones". Car folding into briefcase FTW!
Watching Tom & Jerry is like transporting in time to my childhood!
There were several other really good HB cartoons that were part of the Cartoon Express. Another massive part of my childhood.
I believe there are others worth mentioning;
- Dynomutt
- Jabberjaw
- Space Ghost
- Magilla Gorilla
- Popeye
- Hong Kong Phooey
Don't forget Dexters Lab, Swat Kats, and Powerpuff Girls.
I was looking for the Hong Kong Phooey fans in the comments. So thank you.
The Perils of Penelope Pitstop
I love Hong Kong Phooey 🧡💛
@@Toonamp Those are NOT Hanna-Barbara!
Scooby doo, Wacky Races, Top Cat, The Flintstones, and Tom and Jerry are my favourite cartoons.
Yogi Bear was my childhood
Nostalgia hits hard 🥲
Thank you WatchMojo
I agree with you since alot of them most people watched in the early 90s late 2000s
Honorable mention "up from the depths, 30 stories high, breathes fire, his head in the sky... GODZILLA!" Was it a shining moment for the franchise? No but watching it as a kid I was thoroughly entertained.
I have three words about this video:
This. Is. AWESOME.
Pecos Pest is the GOAT episode of Tom &Jerry. I love Uncle Pecos!! It's the #1 Best T&J episode.
"CUH CUH CUH......CRAMBONNNNNNNNNE!!"
Yankee Doodle Mouse was 💯 Better!!!
Every scene was so funny.
@@l-wolverine2211 Nah, not even close. I don't even consider that one in the T&J top 50.
@@MAGGOT_VOMIT Then you have No Style, especially when it won an Oscar for Best Animated Short.
@@l-wolverine2211 That was in 1943 #0011 before all the good ones came out. It's so plain and not funny, that no one ever mentions it. Yankee Doodle Mouse is rarely ever played on tv anywhere because it has very little depth. I don't know whom they paid off to get that Oscar. Even the Loony Toons wartime shorts with Daffy Duck from that same year are so much better and keep being played so much more on tv.
I actually had to rewatch YDM because it hadn't been played on tv in so long, I'd forgotten it existed. 🤣
Oh and btw, Pecos Pest has a fan club and so many people imitating that cartoon on youtube. Hmm i'm not seeing anyone imitating anything from that bland YDM episode. 🤣
Best part of this video, is the young narrator pretending she watched these Saturday morning in the 70s and not decades later on Boomerang.
I Would Legit pay ALL the Money in the World for a Boomerang Streamer.
I agree with this list. I wish the smurfs was a big higher on the list, but I get it.
Battling severe depression. I find myself missing the good old days where childish ignorance was bliss. These cartoons really take me back. Thank you for this video.
I'm so grateful to have grown up with these cartoons.
We are now closer to The Jetsons than when HB envisioned them in the 1960's
Scooby-Doo was made in the 60s.
Watching this now reminds me of the upcoming Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe and I can’t wait 😊
Wait . What?
@@descooke-dz4mg I’ve read a couple of reports from a few years ago
@@danielewenkhare3600 I had no idea about it. But if true. It better live up to it's legacy
@@descooke-dz4mg fr like Hanna-Barbera has been around for more than two decades and now with Warner Bros revamped changes in recent years it’s gotta do them justice
I can't believe how many of these only ran one season
Rebecca’s voice, as well as the music, sounds like it was supposed to be released in 2015.
We have the Smurfs to thank for blue ice cream at Kings Island.
Scooby-Doo is my favorite of the list. 😊🎉

Johnny Quest needs to be rebooted. Such an awesome show and deserved more love
My daughter walked into my room 2 days ago, looked at the TV and started laughing. I said, "Yes, I'm watching Jonny Quest...so what?" 😂
Do you remember The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest? A much darker show.
I absolutely love the Flintstones and HB cartoons are the best ever made. But I will still argue that Scooby Doo should be in first place
I’m 53 and I do believe I didn’t have a favourite. I was just happy. Breakfast on Saturday was S&V chips in front of the TV until I got kicked out to play.
All of them are my favorite hanna barbera cartoons of all time
Despite being born in the 2000s, I fortunately had the awesome channel Boomerang to show me many of these great shows
Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, Tom and Jerry, Flintstones and even the underrated Wacky Races were ones that I frequently watched
I was also born in the 2000s
My Favorite Hanna Barbera Cartoons
1.Scooby-Doo
2.Tom And Jerry
3.The Smurfs
4.Yogi Bear
5.2 Stupid Dogs
230: My favorite Scooby-Doo movie is Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders. Used to watch it all the time
I can now die a happy man! Finally they did a Top 10 Hanna Barbera cartoons video. I can't get enough of HB and their studio and ALL their wild ideas of shows either ones they made up or the ones that were based on literature, TV sitcoms, celebrities, movies and other IPs! Thank you WatchMojo for making this video.
Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry will always be my favorites. ❤
Same . All the Scooby Doo movies were good as well. Tom and Jerry were fantastic as well. All the old shows were better then most of the newer stuff
@@Reaperguy67Warner Bros. Animation did with the first reboots, What's New and Tom & Jerry Tales?
@@brianodonnell4496 interesting thanks for the information
@@Reaperguy67 Kids' WB had Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry.
@@brianodonnell4496 you are right and I remember watching it
I was so lucky to have had all these cartoons growing up. I still love them to this day.
Loved or hated, 1992’s Tom and Jerry the Movie had Tom and Jerry talk for the first time and voiced by Richard Kind and Dana Hill. In the animated series, it’s no wonder why they wouldn’t talk due to their actions and chaos of messes and running around.
Even though they changed it in 2021, it’s still fun
I grew up on Hanna-Barbera cartoons. My fav was Swat Kats
MISS WAKIN UP SAT MORNINGS @6AM TO WATCH TOONS IN MY PJ'S ALL DAY!! KIDS R MISSN OUT THESE DAYS!!
Aww yes "Boomerang, It's all coming back to you" 😁🔥🙏🏽📺
1st quibble: Josie & the Pussicats > Smurfs
2nd quibble: Dick Dastardly was NOT an anti-hero in "Wacky Races"; he was a flat-out villain. He was also the villain in his own series, "Dick Dastardly & Muttley in their Flying Machines", trying to stop the carrier pigeon Yankee Doodle from delivering his messages. My favorite part of this alternate series was Muttley's adventures: "Wake up there, you Muttley, you're dreaming again. You're not Robin Hood and you're not Gunga Din. You're not a brave knight or a king that's been crowned. You're just plain old Muttley...the snickering hound."
I've watched "The Yogi Bear Show", "The Jetsons", "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?", "The Smurfs", "Tom and Jerry", and "The Flintstones". They're all great shows! I'd love to see the others on this list! They seem great!
Most of them are on dvd
@@sg6633 Oh.
I haven’t seen Jonny Quest since the 90’s, and I still want more.
I'm surprised Jonny Quest hasn't had a reboot in a while even if I'm not that big a fan. The closest thing we have right now is Jellystone.

Well, the wiki says so as well as the studio that's making it, that being Paramount
I hope so much for a new age of them.
I would have put Scooby-Doo at number one. Otherwise good list.
Great list at a great time. My dad showed me a lot of these old school cartoons when i was a kid (Johnny Quest, Whacky Races). Im about to have a son myself, itll be fun to keep the tradition going.
My favorite Hanna Barbara cartoon id say would be Scooby doo,Funky Phantom and Dynomutt.
Rip creators
As a Watchmojo Stan. I can tell this is older audio. Modern videos do not sound like this. Im a mojo veteran 10 years in the running, you cant get passed me
Scooby Doo is my all time favorite cartoon character ever.
1:21 Johnny quest is my favorite
Honestly the reason why I love Jonny Quest is my favorite that most. It was so much fun on Action/Adventure. That why that genre was very Underrated from Hanna-Barbera. Jonny Quest rules.
The Flintstones...of course
This is wild ☠️ literally thought bout how watchmojo need to make a list of Hannah barbera cartoons Monday
4:20 My all time favorite cartoon that I grew up watching ❤
Scooby-doo where are you? at #2? I don't know. The Flinstones are really good too but I'm not sure if they deserve the top spot.
I once heard my mother say that she was "smarter than the average bear"
Scooby Doo is my favorite Hannah Barbara cartoon
One of my personal favorites is The Perils of Penelope Pitstop.
I had no idea Tom and Jerry were Hanna-Barbera. Iconic.
3:06, Dastardly & Muttley and Penelope Pitstop would later have their own Spin-Offs
The Perils of Penelope Pitstop is one of my personal favorites. With the legendary Paul Lynde as that villain of villains The Hooded Claw.
@@rhyancoleman6462I totally agree with you
The former already had one before _Wacky Races._ Dastardly was originally a wartime pilot.
@@JamesDavy2009 It was?
Dastardly was spun off. He wasn't created before Wacky Races. It's possible that a prototype of him existed before Wacky Races but otherwise no.
"Fantastic Voyage" was very good! Also Ted Knight did voice over narration for many of the HB cartoons.
Ted was mostly at Filmation like with Fantastic Voyage and most of the DC shows prior to the Superfriends. The 73 series far as I know it was his only major Hanna Barbara role. Other than his Scooby guest starting role in the two Batman episodes. Plus in Inch High Private Eye though it's hard to say how many episodes in that series he was there.
Anyone remember the song, "EEP OPP ORK AH AH!!" from the Jetsons??
I saw that episode. To me it was kind of a parody of _Witch Doctor._
@@JamesDavy2009 It was from the Jetsons and doesn't even sound like the Witch Doctor song.
I already know that there are still a lot of Hanna Barbera Cartoons
Just be thankful you never saw the live-action remake of "Josie and the Pussycats" before like I had before 😢
How bout one about adventure ones from Hanna Barbera? Jana of the Jungle and many other gems were forsaken.
Wholesome, family friendly entertainment. No rude and lewd and crude humor, etc.
The nostalgia is strong in this list.
Tom and Jerry will always go down as a classic.😂
7 oscars🎉
True
Actually tying the record of the number of Oscars that Disney's Silly Symphonys won.
No Jabber jaw honorable mentioned? Also swatkats and Godzilla are always forgotten about lol
How about galtar
@kascnef ya know i think as a kid i actually confused that show alot with Herculoids, which is another often forgotten about series, that and pirates of dark waters.
Also smurfs always cast a huge shadow over the Snorks
Ditto The Pirates of Dark Water.
Thanks to Jellystone, these characters will be introduced to the young ones in a new yet still familiar way
The Perils of Penelope Pitstop cos it had The Anthill Mob and the Hooded Claw. Dastardly and Mutley in their flying machines (catch the pigeon)
That's one of my absolute favorites. With the legendary Paul Lynde as that villain of villains The Hooded Claw.
Boomerang should put this all back on the air
Flip 1 and 2 and it will be a great list. Scooby Doo is more kid friendly then Flintstones. The Flintstones ran ads for cigarettes.
Flintstones was family it was on primetime
Scooby Doo honestly was too repetitive. Flintstones and Tom & Jerry are top 2 imo
LOVED Wacky Races. I haven't seen the new one, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have as much of a "wow" factor like the original. But I do consider this one of my favorite Hanna Barbera cartoons.
Laff-A-Lympics for honorable mention for a reunion/revival show and Space Ghost for honorable mention for space action.
This video giving me classic watchmojo vibes lol
My 3rd fav cartoon studio after Disney and Warner brid
3:28 - 3:31 Dick Dastardly's talking to you, Rebecca.
Jerry was the villain in Tom & Jerry. Tom's just trying to live a cat's best life when he gets antagonized by Jerry and then tortured by Jerry when he tries to catch him/fight back.
No Captain Caveman and QuickDraw McGraw in honorable mentions? I OBJECT!
I very much didn’t know that Casey Kasem voiced Shaggy Roggers and Alexander Cabot (Josie & The Pussycats)
They both sound almost exactly the same!
You probably didn't know that Casey was also was Robin on the Superfriends either.
Holy permanent press!
I truly enjoyed all those cartoons as a kid but also I enjoyed Swat Kats and it’s from Hanna Barbera too 🤩
The Red Max should have won every episode of Wacky Races. But what was an airplane doing in an automobile race anyway?
Snorks was a personal favorite of mine, it had one Banger of a Themesong.
The Snorks is copy of The Smurfs. It's still a good show.
@@tastebudswithtariq2330 A Majority of Hanna Barbara's Cartoons were just Ripoffs of Scooby-Doo. Besides I only like Snorks for Themesong. Even you have to admit it was way better than the Smurfs.
These are all fun, but I'd like to shout out all the amazing 90s cartoons they made! Pirates of Dark Water anyone? Among many others bangers!
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Tom and Jerry for the win..!! 🤣
I loved Hanna Barbera cartoons. 💖
