I’m guessing since they had music in common, and since Tyler’s friend was in the original TØP, when he dropped out, Tyler asked Josh if he wanted to join the band after getting to know each other better. And that is how they met. (This could potentially be incorrect, but google said that even though they like making up stories, they finally opened up for google to have the actual story.
