Good morning, friends and families, and thank you for joining us! Robin's puppies are 19 days old (2.5 weeks). Before upgrading the puppies to their puppy pen, we first need to pull them out of their current nest so we can move the pen in. That means play time on the floor! This is the very first time they've left their nest as they are still learning how to walk. We are so impressed with how well they did! They are still learning how to play. I used this opportunity to introduce them to some toys, but I wanted to allow them to explore on their own and see what happens when they make choices. They are right at the age where they are realizing they can have an impact on the environment around them.
We are continuing to potty the puppies every hour, on the hour, in their pine pellet tray. With the new pen, it'll be easier for the puppies to learn how to walk to their tray for potty breaks. We advance their potty training as developmentally appropriate, which is why we will start with the pen sized down to avoid confusing the puppies.
The puppies are becoming so much more playful. I walked in on Lilac playing with Robin last night, and as soon as I grabbed my phone to record, she began looking to nurse (of course!). Robin was very sweet with her, but less interested in playing. Robin's isn't a very playful mama, but I think this also might be the earliest her puppies have tried playing with her. It's very subtle - Lilac approached Robin, sat down, and softly swatted at her ear. Then she playfully swung her head side to side with an open mouth, like she was going to nip her. Robin acknowledged her, but I think Lilac was hoping she would be more like Mocha! I'm continuing Mocha's little mini playdates because she is so good with them and helps bring them out of their shells.
They are really social puppies with very mild temperaments. They are each really easy going, they love snuggling, and they've learned to approach us, get comfy in our hands/arms, then roll over for a belly rub until they fall asleep.

Welcome to the Red Barn Cavaliers family home! We specialize in raising Cavalier puppies to be Emotional Support Animals. This livestream is following our newest litter from Robin, born on 9/5/24 (16 min. birth here: • Mama Dog’s Difficult D... ). We provide all of our puppies' care on stream for families and viewers, updating families on their puppies' growth and progress every day. We keep the livestream on all day so that families can get to know their puppies on their time, with the ability to scroll through the litter's entire day.
We raise Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies for the distinct purpose of becoming ESAs. The Cavalier's temperament is ripe for therapeutic bonding, and their ability to tune into their handler's emotional needs doesn't compare to any other breed. We help families choose the puppy best suited for them and their lifestyle. Then we help them get to know their puppies and vice versa - we help puppy bond to their family members through different methods. We livestream the deliveries of all our litters, which you'll find in our playlists.
