Baber caught into favoritism he went for unnecessary favors to players like Fakhar, Faheem, Nawaz and even Shadab when they were off color or unfit. Ultimately Baber lost matches and series. He was responsible for his past downfall, let's hope he follows merit in future.

I can understand the logic of Babar compromising on his self-respect by accepting the captaincy again but Babar took this decision because he understands the potential repercussions of refusing the proposal of the powerful Mohsin Naqvi. He is concerned about his future in the team that's why he can't say no to those who matter.
Moreover, Pakistani Punjabis have a long history of bowing down to the powerful without caring about things like self-respect so it's not something unusual.
Babar is too big a player to be thrown out of team , it's dumb of him to accept the captaincy its same scenario if virat have been captain again after two months when he was sacked, babar is dumb on mic as well.

The only problem Babar has is his squad selection and his playing 11. Coaches are equally culprits. Also the order of the batters. Now in West Indies, if Saim Ayub and Azam Khan is dropped, then again Babar will do a blunder. These 2 players have so much experience playing in West Indies. Regardless of his fitness, Azam should play. I don't know why this big boy don't focus on his fitness. Looks like he is not interested to serve his team for a longer period of time like his father.

In regards to Afghanistan series shadab was captain because all senior players were rested for the series including baber rizwan shaheen etc as the series was right after psl. Sir shaheen refused for captaincy so many times to support babar in Afghanistan series he was first choice captain shaheen didn't accept and everywhere support babar openly through twitter on promotion when babar resigned then he accepted because everyone wish to lead 🇵🇰.
