Rangers are connected to the morphing grid, a stockpiling power source that collects all of the experience of every previous ranger before them. Billy is canonically impotent and has no fighting ability at all, but he becomes a lethal weapon when he morphs.
According to the comics, they become actually smarter, and they have buffs to literally all of their stats to superhuman levels. The strength required to do the jumps that they do would be 150 times that of nightwings.
This is the most ridiculous lowball challenge there is. Put the Green ranger against Wonder woman, and come back later.

The Green Ranger has always been my favorite ranger!!
Another Fandom that admired and loved him was the mma community. He took martial arts to heart and loved mma. Him.being a ranger (two of my top rangers the green and white) and loving mma made him a bad ass to me as a kid growing up. Dude was an inspiration and had a big part in my childhood. Rest in peace Ranger and nothing but the best to his family

As much as I love Batman and Nightwing this is a stomp for the Green Ranger.
- A Power Rangers base strength is calced at over 12,500 tons as shown by MMPR Yellow in the comics. (Keep in mind all Power Rangers scale to each other except for a few exceptions who are stronger)
- Ranger casually dodge light and lightning based attacks and have been able to keep up super powered cars at full speed. Plus he can teleport away in a pinch.
- Tommy also has his dagger which can summon a force field that the Red Ranger had trouble with breaking. And he has survived a explosion with a yield of over 500 tons of tnt.
Nightwing while he could match Tommys speed, he just couldn't match Tommy in strength or even damage him. If Tommy didn't hold back he'd demolish Nightwing.

My sister and I met JDF twice at Alabama Comic Con. He was always kind to us. He told me that he loved our energy. He told me to keep being myself and never change who I am. I still can’t believe he’s gone. It’s heartbreaking. RIP JDF🥺🥺😢😢💔💔💔💔
My first exposure to Jason in the power ranger series was the black ranger in dino thunder. As a child i had no idea who he was but he was hands down my favorite ranger of dino thunder.
Nightwing is one of my favorites. But you know what? Tommy isn't even just the Green Ranger. He has a Master Morpher. Because he's the greatest there ever was. Rest in Power, JDF.
Seeing how the fandom has come together to celebrate his life and memory makes me proud to be a power rangers fan im sad to see this is what had to unite us but he'll forever be our hero losing jdf and kevin conroy thos close together makes me so sad i still havent stoped crying he was an inspiration to the world rip jdf fly high tommy

Actually don't know how I feel about this. Been there since 93 and met him in 2015. The fact he took his own life is the hardest part to comprehend.

I never thought a celebrities death would hit me hard but JDFs was devastating. I watched him growing up in MMPR, I was always the green ranger and then the white ranger when playing with my brother's. RIP Jason, you will always be remembered in power ranger lore.

The setup here is insane, Nightwing is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction and even I know he doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell against Tommy.
It's a toss up and comes down to martial arts without the weapons night wing was able to hang with deathstroke but in a deathbattle It's who win the most out of 10 fights that goes to the green ranger
In hand to hand, Nightwing has to be more skilled, but arsenal Nightwing is beat without a doubt, not a fair battle.

@@Artryom Tommy is technically is still superhuman unmorphed (It's unclear by how much, when he transferred his powers his body had to change into an unpowered stated implying even unmorphed he has power) and has mastered many forms of marital arts. Plus can turn invisible due to his Dino Thunder Black Civilian Powers. However, Nightwing yes would prolly win against unmorphed Tommy. Morphed Nightwing has no chance.

yeah people be acting like Power Rangers don't have incredible Super Powers. But one of the main factors for me is a Ranger is extremely tough due to their suits protecting them. Most Super heroes won't be able to even hurt a Power Rangers unless they have city busting powers and weapons. And even then... the military has that and we have seen many times that the military can't take down even 1 of the monsters in Power Rangers (Lost Galaxy) (RPM) (Time Force) and a few other season stated and shown that their weapons weren't strong enough. iron Man can give them a challenge if he start shooting beams and missiles but once he runs out of ammo and Power any ranger will tear his suit apart just like Bucky and Cap did in Civil War
Hey Arris,I have been apart of the variant nation for several years. This is among my top five channels I love to watch. I've been reading and loving comics,sci-fi,geekdom for 45 of my 52 years. When a person who plays a character or someone from my youth passes,I weep. I did so when I learned JDF was gone. Thank you,Tim and all of variant nation for helping me through my struggles. Absolutely love the tribute to JDF. For most of us….he was the epitome of what it meant to be a Power Ranger. Nicely done.
That being said. While I agree more often than not this would be a close fight…..I think 8/10 times Grayson takes it. Dick is not a great fighter like Tommy. He’s the best of the best. Able to fight Batman/Deathstroke/Ras/Lady Shiva either to a standstill or straight up win.
You mentioned the power level difference but you never once mentioned Nightwings elite strategic planning or his ability to adapt. I think if they meet with no one knowing what the other can do….initially Tommy would have the edge due to the power. My guess is that even if that happened Nightwing takes a step back before he loses and regroups and plans the next phase. The second you give Grayson the ability to plan, adjust and adapt (which is what makes him elite on most levels) he would not only win the fight….my bet is that he would incapacitate Tommy and/or make him realize he should be fighting with him.
Graysons intellect and his mastery in battle strategy would win this battle almost every time. Think about it…would you list Bruce as the winner between Tommy and Batman? Of course at least the majority of the time. That means Grayson wins the majority of the time also. The difference being Bruce would have him in jail….while Dick would end up leading Tommy into some other battle. Oh and if Tommy can have the zord…Dick gets the Batmobile and Batplane. Great video….👍🏻

Hey Arris, Tommy actually became 7 different rangers if you count the Batinsun Green Ranger!
Still can't believe it, THIS GUY LITERALLY MADE A REAL LIFE HERO, from UFC to loving his role. This hurt so much with him and Chester from Linkin Park before that. I just hate how bright lights burn out so fast and if I had heard this as a younger man, it just stack on how much I resented the world. Really sucked that I always figured Tommy was Native American so I looked up to the guy, so I enlisted and even though I sport Purple (my favorite color) I always added Green and White out respect to Tommy, its so tough after all this time. I still come back to honor the hero. Fact is he's a Ranger and Rangers Always Lead the Way.

He was an icon, the 1st villian i can remember as a kid. I HATED THE GREEN RANGER, i couldnt accept him as the white ranger. Now as an adult? I see now he was my favorite, the white ranger had such a badass look. Rip to a legend of my childhood.
Tommy Oliver has been my favorite Ranger since his debut in Mighty Morphin as the Legendary Green Ranger. My favorite form is the White Ranger with the Tigerzord. Damn it’s tragic that JDF is gone. 😰

I always believed that the Green Ranger form was Tommy's strongest form in terms of raw power. It doesn't have much in the way of unique abilities like the other ranger forms, but it's just overall the strongest in terms of it's raw power. The only downside it had AT THE TIME, was the fact it was limited by Rita's influence and faded away. So it was unstable at the time (Though he later regained the powers.)
The White Ranger was more stable and still technically the strongest ranger form he had. Because of its unique abilities.
The Zeo Red Ranger was a bit weaker, but it had the capacity to grow in terms of power endlessly, making it easily the overall most powerful form he'd ever have. But the downside is? That power, as it grows, holds a danger of harming the user.
Turbo? Not sure really. I'd say it was his overall weakest form.
Dino Thunder however was his most versatile form. The one that had more tricks to it than raw power. Though it can be seen as STILL the strongest of the Dino Thunder forms.
It isn't though. Zordon outright states that white ranger is more powerful.

Zeo is technically the strongest, but strains him.
But remember why the White Ranger form was made? It was made because the Green Ranger powers faded. They became less stable and were lost to him essentially.
Where as the White Ranger powers were stable and wouldn't be lost, barring various outside influences. Created as a force for good.
It is in "Fighting Spirit" that he fights each form in order of how strong they actually are. His three core forms prior.
First, Zeo, then White, and finally Green. His Green Ranger powers ARE his strongest in raw power.
he only got weaker when she took his powers with that candle. before then he just barly had any fights after he joined the team because there was no footage. When he came back and they had new footage he was on life support by Zordon. So most of his fights we see are the weakened version of him and he still more OP then the rest besides maybe Jason which states in a episode he has more strength then Tommy but he's better with a sword.

In the intro when going through the different rangers JDF has played, when you say the red turbo ranger, it is just another photo of the red Zeo ranger. I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet or not

When a ranger morphs, the Morphin’ Grid give the Ranger complete mastery over every form of martial arts, why do you think Billy in the first episode or any ranger without fighting experience is able to hold their own upon morphing
not necessarily every form but the form or forms more specific to that suit. Trini for instance fights like a wild tiger, she's fast and pounces on her opponents. The most obvious rangers that have styles linked to their suits are Lost Galaxy and Wild Force. They all run and fight different in styles that NON of them know normally. It's like they become possessed. Billy is another good example but MMPR suits don't give them distinct styles other then Kim, Trini and white Ranger.
@kievonJSmoothSoul I've read/heard it was every form of martial arts, but your point also makes sense. I could see it either way. Regardless tho it definitely increases their strength, stamina, and durability 100 fold. Look at when S.P.D Green casually shoulder pressed a car whilst morphed or when Samurai Red sliced a car clean in half

Never call a suicide help line. I called one and they sent police after me. The police must've tracked my phone because they found me at a McDonald's. They put me in handcuffs and took me to Laurelwood, a mental hospital in Willoughby, Ohio. I spent five days there. I am not even a crazy person. I met the real crazies in there and spent five days with them. We played a lot of board games.
The only reason I called the hotline in the first place was because I was going through a tough break-up. I was really depressed over a girl who was promiscuous. I was younger then and it destroyed me. The person I was talking to about it asked me if I was homicidal/suicidal. They asked the question multiple times until I finally said yes. That was why they contacted police. That's when Willoughby Police started calling my phone repeatedly. I answered once and the officer said he wants to come talk to me in person. I hung up, then declined the calls that came in afterwards. The police pulled up as I exited the McDonald's and asked if I was Nick. I said no. They asked for an ID and I said no. They patted me down and found my ID, proving I was indeed Nick. They took my knife and didn't give it back. Then I was assessed at Laurelwood. I told them I was hearing voices. I don't know why I did that. I don't hear voices. F suicide help lines. They added to my depression.
Aaron I like your match ups most the time. Power rangers are power cosmic and Dick is a street level hero. What were you thinking?
batinthesun channel has a couple live action fights with Jason as the Green and White Rangers. The vs Ryu fight he had a wonky ankle but you can't tell he was injured.
