What’s new?”... and she drops this line on us. Coworker & I just stared at each other until the new woman left the room, then we were like “did that just happen?” Turned out this behavior was the norm for this woman, and she was fired less than two years later.
@@Tuxxxido It's annoying, why is Jimmy Fallon on the sketch?! When tf was he on SNL?! He's the most insufferable talk show host, only time I knew him was in that movie Fever Pitch
And yet he’s not quite that rememberable. Just a consistent sketch comedy professional who’s been literally doing it since he was a kid. Don’t get me wrong I like Keenan, but he’s just really average in my opinion. Never takes away, but not always a big add.
You know Debbie is going to say something crazy hilarious when the other cast members/actors can't keep their shit together and she hasn't even uttered a word yet. Laugh my ass off every time I watch her sketches.....even though I know what's coming up. Maybe I'm just a crazy old bastard...oh well.
In the first Debbie Downer sketch, at Disney World, they didn't have the horn sounds at the rehearsal, so the cast heard them for the first time live. it's still the best one of all the Debbie Downer sketches.
Goes to show you. The funniest part of SNL is when they break. The moment when Horatio wiped a tear from his eye was priceless! Notice Jimmy didn't have a line.
Watching this reminds me of Carol Burnett Show when Tim Conway and Harvey Corman couldn't get thru a sketch without laughing and falling apart. Love it.
3:50 to 4:50 is the absolute cream of the video. It's not so much that fact that Rachel was losing control but the fact that it happened just as she had three consecutive lines to deliver with nobody else speaking in between.
I remember howling watching this. One of the funniest moments I'd seen on SNL, glad they finally posted it. In true Fallon fashion, he broke first and early lol.
Horatio said it best: “If you’re upset or having a hard time, watch this sketch. I promise you’ll be happy”. And it’s true, this makes me smile and laugh every time.
The absolute perfect timing of how al this played out. They had no idea when writing this that they’d break, yet it played so perfectly… the “by the way, it’s official…” with its natural pause, everyone is just waiting to erupt, and then “I can’t have children” 😂 there’s no better line that could have been said. This is sincere, not put on for cheap laughs, and it absolutely worked. Even the cameras and how the timing worked so we’re seeing jimmy break just before she delivers it… what a great moment they were all a part of.
hands down one of the funniest skits snl has ever produced. ranks up there with "schweaty balls", "Down By The River" and any Stefon or "What Up With That". Cracks me up the thousandth time.
Oh, y'all, I remember this. So funny. Such a classic. Much needed right now. Thank you, the whole cast, for such great laughter and memories. Love you all SNL.
I do not remembering them cracking like this...😂😂 Makes it even better. And am I wrong...but this is the most cracking in any reoccurring sketch...I belive I've ever seen.
It seems a good bet to me that a) the trombonist *was* early in that spot and b) it contributed to Rachel's laughing and flubbing her line. Some of the cast was losing it even before, but the moment you mention was probably the key moment that sent the sketch off the rails, IMO. Nice catch.
All of them anticipating the "I can't have children" line is the funniest thing ever! It's like they were all dreading it. LOL! I love how Horatio Sanz and Jimmy Fallon could never get through a skit together.

Seriously, but even he looked like he was about to cave, since everyone around him was already losing it. XD
It's as unparalleled as Jimmy Fallon's inability to go 10 seconds in a sketch without laughing.
