Me and my brother played this a lot because of it's obvious Roadrunner kind of gameplay. We laughed our lungs out because of some stupid mistakes. Really great!
I enjoyed this game so much as a kid, and now as an adult with Retro Games releasing the C64 MIni and C64 consoles. We grew up in the best timeline of all!
It was great time to be a kid at 80's with C-64. Games where short enough to wait, when your friends had their turn. We had a notebook and gave the scores like Formula One just to have their points 10-6-4-3-2-1. Everyone picked up couple of their own favourite games or game, where they supposed to have best chance to beat the other friends.
Absolutely loved this game! - I just played it the other day - trying to count , 1, 1000, 2, 1000, 3, 1000 until I move to see when I could get the bandit!
Looks like this was a Loney Toon game, about Willy the Coyote and his hunt for the Roadrunner ... but somewhere down the line they lost the license and where forced to replace them with Cowboys ...
I could only finally beat this game by using an emulator to save my progress to figure out the final level. I made it to that level without saving, but it was too frustrating to have to start over when the timing on some levels was so picky. But it was awesome fun. Very Wile-E-Coyote like.
I just had to give up on this one. Tried to finish all scenes. Ended up with 1 life and the "First on your left" Screen. Is there a way to survive this scene??
does anyone remember a flash game knockoff of this? I used to play the flash game when I was younger but I couldn't find it anymore. the flash game is downloadable so I don't have to play it online.
Yup in fact, rumor has it, that this game was actually supposed to be a Wile E. Coyote vs. Roadrunner game, but they could not secure the license from Warner. Probably had something to do with the fact that Warner still owned Atari at the time of this game's release.

Thank you so much for posting this. I played this game for hours and hours and hours and hours and grew up a computer programmer, go fig.

Someone should make a modern PC version with mire scenarios and graphics that look like real hand drawn '50s cartoons!

Introducing his brother coat hanger 😂love this game, still play it
Missing one of the 'fail' animations (and IMHO the most amusing one), where Cliff will throw his hat on the ground and stomp on it.
Loved this🥹❤️

Late reply but yeah, just as you are falling and pretty much reach the exact height of the left cliff you press left.
