Back when Americans could take a joke...I have cerebral palsy and I’m sure I’ve never laughed so hard in my life 😂
🚫 Well, it's the 21st century, where the media, the democrats, and their radical voter base think YOU would be better off NOT laughing! It is they who are promoting the ridiculous notion that comedy is offensive! It's tough to laugh right now anyway, when we think about the tens of thousands of American citizens and Afghani refugees who were abandoned in Afghanistan by the Biden regime, who are now hostages of the Taliban.
Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of immigrants who've been exposed to Covid in the overcrowded detention facilities, because the Biden regime treated them the same way Andrew Cuomo treated the 15,000 dead NY nursing home victims!

Wow, such an intelligent insult! I especially like how you didn't even attempt to make a logical point. It sounds like you don't actually pay attention to the political and social issues that are causing problems. Otherwise, you'd agree with me! I'm on the opposite side than those who are trying to divide us up by race, sex and gender, to foster hatred and fear, for their own political benefit.
I went to high school with a guy with cerebral palsy when this came out and he did a Handi-Man impression all the time. Being able to make light of our differences with light-hearted comedy is the core of getting along with everyone and I wish we could get back to that.
for real, i was always brought up to think people with disabilities didnt want to be treated any differently than others, same with races, now we have to magnify people if they are any of those.
Yesss!
Lmfao.
That's just stupid.
The only difference today is they'd get someone actually disabled to do it, and the only people who'd cry about it would be conservatives crying about it being "woke." 😂
I went to school with a kid that I believe had some sort of physical/muscular disability and was wheelchair bound. Kids teased him about the character Timmy from south park, a mentally disabled character. This kid wasn't mentally disabled, so being called Timmy was pretty hurtful to him.
Sometimes these characters have more negative impact than their creators would want. I dont know if that means we censor comedy, but we cant act like jokes don't hurt sometimes. There's that grey area where we do creative things even though we know it might not age well.
BTW, I love south park and Timmy made me laugh. I thankfully had enough decency to not make fun of the kid at school, as immature as I was.
My mom is disabled due to an aneurysm when I was for and she 26. When this came out, we laughed our asses off. Still do. The world turned soft real fast
Yep, because "political correctness" by definition has no real depth. It's the imaginings of lunatics.

I love how he's like "up up and away!!" and then just falls out of the window haha
Brilliant comedy.
😂😂😂😂😂……this comedy skit is still funny after all these years, when I was in the army stationed at Fort Stewart GA me and my buddies use to race to crib after getting off work to watch in living color.
Learning to fall and miss the floor is 90% of flying
Hahaha
ALWAYS MY FAVORITE PART OF HANDIMAN. HIM SLOWLY DOING A 90° FALL OUT THE WINDOW.
Damon Wayans was absolute comedy gold!
Last thing I saw him on was Curb Your Enthusiasm and he was playing a cop. I barely recognized him and it almost seemed like he was given the part because he needed work, not because he's Damon Wayans. It was quite strange.
He’s disabled himself. Born with a Cleft foot and has Tourette’s syndrome.
Him and Carrey were definitely the stand outs of the cast.
This world's sense of humor is now handicapped....This was and still is hysterical 🤣
So sad that this entire cast will now cancel and shame you if you use the wrong gender or didn't get poked.

This is so we can laugh at the mentally handicapped... "too"
The worst thing about how p;ssified everything is today, is that it's always some moron with a hero complex insisting that they speak for others. White liberal feminists gender something something no one cares (white liberal women) for example always speaking for as they call them "bipoc".
They say the road to hell is paved in good intentions.
Damon had no chill 😂😂😂 the way he wild fall out the window and start flying always took me out
He’s on the Spectrum. Grew up with a limp and Cleft.
As a disabled person, I approve this skit. And I approved of it when it first aired.
Damon was born with a Cleft Foot and has Tourette’s Syndrome.
I'm on the spectrum and I also enjoy In Living Color. The writers were great back then and knew how to make us laugh with those skits back in the 90s. I was young and I also didn't get offended by any of those memorable episodes on Fox Network.
@damwaterthomas7639 as Sensei Lawrence said "idk what that spectrum crap is but you better get off of it."
i started laughing because this shit would never fly in 2019.lol
Paul Pownall Thank you, Chickenshit Pussyboy.
I finally understand the saying now "We were cut from a different cloth." When old-timer's use to tell me that. #ProductOfThe80s
True.
Why not? Is it cuz he’s handicapped?
Jonathan Rizo this would never fly today because you could never have an able bodied person play a handicap role, that’s why the new Ironside in 2013 was canceled after 9 episodes. They were using an able bodied person so they could do flashbacks but they were going to be sued by handicapable people in wheelchairs who felt that they had been discriminated against for the role of Ironside. So instead of dealing with a title 9 lawsuit they just canceled the show 🤦♂️
I love that he can actually fly, fight, and has super strength. In living color knew how to do it!
The world is to soft for this kinda comedy. I love this 🤣

I miss this show!! Laughing instead of fighting, crying, or hating 🤣
@@lynniepooh2072 you can thank democrat wokeness and pussification of the youth for that.

Yeah its making fun, but its actually an extremely positive message
Never underestimate the powers of the handicapped

yeah but i think everyone's point in the comment section is saying that nowadays they wouldn't even wait for the context, they'd just immediately try and cancel or get the network or whoever to apologize. side note. in living color was flooded with letters by people who were offended by their skits but still lol
I’m not handicapped but I was hurt to see cerebral palsy become a source of comedy even though there was a positive message

This show came out in '90. I was working construction and taking classes at my local community college. One of my classmates was a young woman who had cerebral palsy. She thought that skit was one of the funniest things she ever saw. Non disabled people hogging the accessible stall are assholes.

I have said this many times and will continue to say it...In Living Color was way ahead of it's time and will go down in history as classics! Loved it back then and still do!!!

This was so funnny when it came out and still is now. I always thought that people who are disabled seeing must feel seen/heard to be included and recognized in their skit. The way it was done was not in a malicious manner. Take note Marvel! I’m so happy to see that people on this thread who had some sort of handicap loves it too.

Imitating characters from this show helped me come out of my shell in high school. I love to make people laugh.
One of the messages the Wayans were trying to convey was;"Never underestimate the power of the handicapped!".,as quoted by Handyman himself.
Spoken phonetically, "Neva unda-etimate da powa of da andy cap". Then the big wink.
If memory serves me Damon Wayans was actually born with a club foot. The resulting ostracism that he dealt with as a kid was the inspiration for that character.
really??! 😨😱 Wow!!😯
A little background on Wayans Handi-Man character.
“I was born with a club foot and I used to talk about it on stage; you've got to turn the camera on yourself. So I decided, 'I'm gonna start talking about my club foot and the pain of having this, you know, orthopedic shoe that I had to wear as a kid.' The joke that started Handi Man was I was saying I got into a lot of fights as a kid, because I had to defend my shoe. And I said, 'I guess you don't find too many handicapped bullies.' And then I would tell a little bit about, like, 'Uh oh, here come the Crips,' and you have these handicapped guys roll up and go [standard un-PC mentally disabled voice] 'Give me your lunch money.' So that was the birth of Handi Man, and then talking about how it's like they need a superhero. You never find a handicapped superhero. And then I start doing Handi Man on stage ."

The entire cast of In Living Color were hilarious!
Damon Wayans played a lot of roles in "Living Color". The ones that I can remember, are Homie The Clown, Handiman, and the Homeless Guy. I'm sure there are other roles he played, too, but it's been awhile, since I watched the show.
One of my favorite "Homie The Clown" episodes, was when Homie got to meet "The Man," and ended up bopping him. I'll admit something right here:If I'd if been Homie The Clown.....well....I wouldn't have stopped with just one bop. I'd of wore "The Man" out!!!!!
Cracks me up everytime Handi Man flies out a window! LOL
Brings back so many memories of watching late night tv as a kid that I had no business watching. Then doing those impressions at school to get a laugh and getting into trouble because the special kids would get mad even though I tried to explain myself. Then come to find out I had ADHD so I had an outlet and could make those special kids laugh since I ended up in the same classes as them. It's only through perspective that people are open to interpretation. Anyways, we are special in our own way. Toodles.
You may find it offensive, but keep in mind that handi-man is the only handicap hero to this day, and he did his job well.
I like how he slipped up and referred to them as the Justice League.

As a disabled person I fucking agree. This is hilarious
The problem is people who get offended for others. Handicap people usually say they want to be treated like everyone else. We make fun of everyone else, so that means we should also make fun of them. yet you have miserable people who look to manufacture outrage who take it upon themselves to become offended for demographics they don't really represent, such as the handicapped. People bitch and moan about how wrong it is to make gags about the disabled, yet the disabled want to be part of the joke like "normal" people. In other words, fuck it. Do it anyway.
