@@MidwestStormChasing Nice. That was the best part of the chase for me after being on the northern supercell at Houghton, IA right before it produced the tornado and ditching it for the southern one. Chased the latter to near Little York, IL seeing at most a ragged wall cloud and that big shelf cloud, went back to Monmouth to eat and watched the last round roll in; and enjoyed the lightning show on the way home as well.
Thats so nicee calming great video, but I’m confused how these black clouds and hail falling but no lightning, we most of the time when we see big black clouds the chance of lightning to appear is high but sometimes it happens in my country also I see a black huge big clouds and it rains heavy and hail but no lightning, based on that I’m thinking what do cloud needs to have lightning 🤔 they say electric cloud charge are from water inside it but we saw huge amount inside these clouds but no lightning, so what causes lightning 🤔⚡️
Great footage. That storm was massive!
Thank you very much! Yeah, all the storms were very impressive in appearance during this event!

Same here! Thanks for watching!!
Cool footage! 13:42 to the end, is that from the last band of storms that fired up west of US 67 from Monmouth northward?
Yep! After we let it hit us, we pretty much followed it all the way home. Strobe lightning for a good 3+ hours! Thanks for watching!!

Quite often I hear birds singing in several of these videos. It surprises me.
8:36 That looks so much like somerhing you don't want to be underneath! How did this not form a tornado there and then?
Great footage without dramatization or stupid music. Just nature doing it's thing. This looks like a Squall Line.
Squall lines and outflow dominant supercells!
@@MidwestStormChasing Awesome! Thanks for the clarification.
