    Girl you are doing AMAZING!!! I started running seriously Feb this year just after my pacemaker battery exchange, both my PCP and heart doctor know I run, my cardio surgeon says he wants 3 things from me, 1. Drink plenty of water stay well hydrated 2. Sodium intake and 3. EXERCISE, exercise, exercise… I’m 58, soon to be 59 than later lol I just ran my very first half marathon this weekend, I’m a SLOW runner, finished it in 3:03:33 I kept telling myself ‘quitting is NOT an option’ I was determined to finish what I started, that being said during my last week of training for the half my long run day of 12 miles @ 12:25/12:49 pace had me questioning myself and my ability to finish a half marathon, can we just say I’m looking to do another half marathon and better my finishing time. I’m a momma to some pretty amazing kiddos and a grandma to many, if I can do this, I know you can, you are doing it and doing a fabulous job of it, you’ve got this, it’s very evident you do!!! I may or may not have already said I may do a full in 2025… 🤪🤣🤪

      Thank you!!! And you are a rockstar. I’m a fellow slow pace runner, but that’s okay. The only thing that matters is getting to that finish line. Good luck on your next half and let me know what you plan on running next.

      Thanks! Yeah we have a beautiful trail here that goes for miles so it’s perfect for my long runs.

      Thanks Joe! Will do. Also, knee is holding up well thanks to the strength workouts. Now just to tackle the mental aspect as the mileage ramps up😅

    16:19 you're doing it right. Some days are hard. Just keep moving. Try not to think about those later runs. Focus on today's run. Somethings to consider. Are you wearing compression socks or leg sleeves? If not, give them a try. Also consider salt tabs or chews to replace those salts. Gatorade alone doesn't always do it especially when you're actively sweating. Perhaps you may need to fuel more often. I have to fuel every 30 minutes. I use a gel at 30 and a snack at 60 and repeat.       Thank you! I’m going to try the compression socks and salt tabs for sure. Also, I was thinking I may need to increase my fuel. Also, I’m pretty sure I will be at the meetup 😃
